The best! Considering how little hair I've got left you wouldn't think finding a good barbershop would be such a big deal. But for a precise and professional beard trim Adrianna is the best. Experienced, skillful, no rough edges, just perfect. I tried so many area barbers who were too rough with the trimmers, too quick, choppy movements, leaving me with a sore spots, skin abrasions. Not here. And reasonable too. One secret to success at the barber: give specific instructions, ask for what you want in detail. And then leave yourself in Adrianna's hands.

Any reviews on here less than 4 stars are because they asked for a “bald fade”, whatever TF that is, or because they’re cheap enough and ignorant enough to think A) haircuts at Sports Clips are only $10 and B) They could get equivalent cut at Sports Clips. B) may be true if old and bald enough to believe A). No there’s not ESPN on TV at Ames, but I get my political commentary elsewhere. Been in Rutherford over 2 years. Only reason I’m not a 5 is because a couple of my 15-20 cuts were slightly less than perfect. But who bats 1000? Take the 4 stars every time and take it at Ames. Or go to Sports Clips like old man river 20 or so posts below. Let us know how it goes.

I was in town for a birthday party and in desperate need for a haircut. Showed up a little before they were supposed to be open and found they were already open--which was great because of my time crunch. The care and attention put into my haircut and beard shape up was second to none. The next time I'm in town I will definitely be stopping back at Ames.

I rarely leave reviews for anything but Adrianna is an awesome old school barber. I googled "rutherford barber shop" and this place was top of the list and right down the street from me. I walked in and got the best haircut I've had in years. Hot lather, straight razor, the works and for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

It's 2019 and they don't take credit. So, I had to walk down the street to get to an ATM and when I came back (still 45 minutes before close) they wouldn't take me. They then said I was "shopping" because they saw me walk past the shop after I left to get cash. My GPS needed me to walk to calibrate. I offered to pay whatever they wanted because I needed to clean up for my new job. They said they don't care about the money and needed to clean and close. All well. Thanks anyway.

This is the best barber shop I've been to in a long time. It's a mother / daughter business that has been part of the Rutherford community for years. They are both polite and accommodating to any style that you want. And they give THE BEST hair cut in the area. I can't recommend this shop enough.
