I have been to the Clip Joint twice. Let me start by saying that haircuts here aren't horrible although they're not great either. The staff is nice enough. However here are my observations vs. other barbershops I have been to. First, they don't clean up after every haircut. They do the vast majority of their work with clippers only. No straight edge razor work. Which brings me to my largest complaint. This place is NOT a Barbershop. No neck shave offered with haircut. Hard parts are done quickly (and unevenly) with electric clippers rather than shave cream and razor. How is this place worthy of the barber pole outside their shop?? Furthermore, one can show a photo of the cut you want and you come out with something less technical. Please note that I have not been serviced from all the staff. Finally, I am happy to pay $25-30 for great work and experience. However, I feel the work done here is worth $12 at most not $21 and not worthy of the barber pole outside the building.

Brittney saved the day! And by "the day," I mean "my hair". Before going to Clip Joint, I'd rolled the dice and went to someone with no reviews at another shop. The experience was... memorable. After that experience, I'd lost trust in people wielding scissors near my head. But, as somebody said somewhere at some point in time, "if you get a bad haircut, wait a month, then go get a good one." So I took those imaginary words of wisdom, got back on my proverbial horse, and rode down to Clip Joint!. Brittney listened intently to my description of what I wanted, and then reiterated it to me to show that she had understood. She took her time ironing out the mistakes left by the prior lady. By the time Brittney was done, I was confident to leave there without my baseball hat on! Sure, my now-sunburned forehead may be wishing I'd get another bad haircut so I'd have to start wearing a hat again, but I say no! Let my hair be free!

I work six days a week right next to a chain barbershop in Kalispell but am afraid to go in simply because I'm never sure how I'll look coming out. For years I dreaded going for a cut and was always nervous about what my girlfriend or coworkers would say when they saw me next. One day, I went in for a trim and was told I was looking at a 45 minute wait. I'd had enough. I used the Google machine to track down some real experts of the craft. I found The Clip Joint, and life is better now. Although I've only been here a handful of times, the place stays busy (which means they're doing something right) and everyone is always in a great mood. These ladies are pros. It's one thing to get a haircut. But it's another thing to get a great experience, and they make it happen. Great haircut, great concersation, great service, and great price. They take care of their regulars and know everyone by name, a testament to how well they do. Hell, they even offer a therapy session. (
