I am active duty military so I get a hair cut about once a week. I live in Missoula and have had a hell of a time finding a shop that can do a fade properly. While down in Hamilton I tried this shop out. It was clean, fast and he gave me a better fade then I would have gotten on base. It's an hour drive down the bitterroot for me but it will be worth it. He has my business for the next few years.

Make sure to tip him a little extra because his talent at his trade is remarkable. This is my go-to place to get a haircut when I'm in Hamilton. The best!

Do you remember the haircuts your dad gave you as a kid? Well, if you're feeling nostalgic and find you'd like one as an adult, Blades has just that to offer! I have a very simple, very common hairstyle among younger men, but recreating a shorter version of what was already on my head did not go over very well. Will your hair be shorter when you leave? Yes, but not necessarily how you'd imagined it would be if style or symmetry are in any way part of the equation. If you'd like an unblended buzzcut, enlistment style, this is your spot. The proprietor was enthusiastic and confident that he was doing what I'd asked for, I would have stopped him immediately if I could have seen what he was up to - you can't see anything the way the chair and mirror are set up. Dumb mistake on my part. I wish I had not been so trusting of what I thought was experience, I have been waiting for this to grow out for a few weeks now. Uneven everywhere, no blending anywhere, neckline isn't straight... It's one of the worst haircuts I can remember getting. The owner is a nice guy, but he's more heavy equipment mechanic than stylist. Too bad, as I was really hoping it'd great.
