Amazing shop barbers are all great people who know what they are doing
Jay stylez got my hair riiiiiiiiight. Killed it. Good convo, great service and a amazing cut. I got my hair bleached, cut and got a part. Came out dope and Doug-E fresh came through. I love coming here. I definitely recommend it.
Nice setup with many different barbers to choose from. Expect high prices
Jay was the only barber I trusted for a haircut but if you can deal with his ego and inconsistent appointment times, more power to ya.
Shout out to J the Barber for Always hooking my Family Up!! He's the Best Sharp Skilled & Amazing!! Thank you for the Cuts!
Was satisfied with my son’s haircut. A gem in the community
Had a cut by Hanif....great guy with sharp attention to detail. Im from New Orleans and this is the first New York haircut that worked for me.
Feels like home!
Wonderful service
Good Money
I stopped in to get a haircut and was surprised to see that this barbershop was very clean and inviting. The only issue that I had was that the basic haircuts are overpriced and the barber that cut my hair was mediocre at best. To charge someone $30 for a haircut it better be one of the best cuts you've ever had. Sadly to say I will never go back there.
At Denny's, they make you feel like fam. Talk, play chess, learn or teach. This is what a barbershop used to be. No loud music to distract you or the barber. I'll go 10miles out of my way to go here. Oh, one more thing The barbers are good, precise, and respectful...sharp! I recommend Denny Moe's for not only the haircuts, but the atmosphere as well. 5
I've been getting my hair cut a Denny's ever since I moved to Harlem. I tried several shops in the area before I settled here. It's clean, child and family friendly without the "testosterone" that barbershops are known for. After trying several barbers in the shop, I settled with Carol over a decade ago. She's the best barber I've ever had in my 72 years!
The shop is clean. The people are friendly. Excellent service.
MORE 60% COSTUMES ARE IN PLACE FOR CUTTING IS SPANISH, BUT THEY NOT GIVE JOB FOR SPANISH BARBER
Cut was ok not the best, had to basically shave the next day. One side of my beard was wider than the other side had to reshape myself, and was not the shape I told him. Barber was getting distracted easily busy talking with other instead of cutting properly.
Very nice place. When I need a hair cut, I come by here and it's always great. The cuts are nice and the people are friendly.
TERRIBLE CUTS, I would suggest to go somewhere else. “Jay Stylez” And Denny Moe both incredibly bad. Also don’t trust the reviews, they offered me a discount if I would leave a good one. SMH
(Translated by Google) Really talented and friendly (Original) Vraiment doué et sympa en plus
In New York for a weekend and checked out this spot. My barber, June, was cool and quickly did a great job on my cut... Appreciate the service
The best barbers in the Harlem
Parking is not Good. The wait is to long.
Awesome shop barber's are great and the owner is a very caring guy.
My God brother gets his cut here, I seen some amazing hairline cuts
Just go! I'm new to NYC and had no clue where to go for a cut. I googled barber and saw that this place was rated highly and the reviews were good. If you're like me, JUST GO to this place , I promise you'll leave with a nice cut , they won't let you leave unless you're happy. I'll be going back. Ps I never review things about since the reviewers are the ones who landed me with this fresh cut I thought I would contribute.
Large place, great barber's, live environment.
Incredible shop! Can make appointments online. Professional and very skilled barbers
Very hit or miss. The lady two chairs down on the right gives a good haircut. I’ve been here two other times (including today) and got butchered. Uneven haircut, terrible angles. Will not come again.
Went there one time and they didn't have my online appointment even booked, went a second time and got cut by Jay. Seemed alright at first but ended up being upset because I told him he didn't listen about cutting my goatee and basically kicked me out of his chair. Didn't do alcohol or anything. Denny was cool though when I explained it to him.
First I’d like to say if i could I’d give this review negative stars but anyway.....I’ve literally waited 2 weeks for a 8oz container of scotch porter beard conditioner. Wednesday the 17th i made the order for pickup i went in they said they didn’t have any. Some guy gave me the owners phone number and the owner tells me next Thursday is when they get all shipments. That’s fine about the same time shipping would take. Even though it said it was available that day. ( If i had known that I’d have just ordered off the scotch porter website). Thursday the 25th ( mind you this is pickup date the owner told me it would be here by, the site never said it was sold out after they removed money from my account for it ) comes i call they tell me the woman who monitors the items isn’t here and at some point Friday she will be. I call Friday she picks up she ask someone else if the order is in ( i thought she monitors all orders and items

I visit the salon to see my natural hair stylist, who grooms my locs. This is a neighborhood staple with a host of master barbers and an experienced hair braider on site. It has a modern decor and the inner atmosphere is in alignment with that of the classic AA salons where sports, the dozens, opinions and observant talk abound. In all, you will more than likely walk away satisfied with your braids, cut or groom...no doubt.
Friendly, family environment, Denny Moe (owner) always working to make sure EVERYONE is comfortable & everyone is being help. The expertise in this barber shop is unbelievable!
Pricey hair cuts!!! Rent must be very sky high here or they trying to put a down payment on a Maybach 2018. Quality of the cuts ✂ seem average to me and I travel around a lot though queens, bronx, brooklyn and manhattan and don't have one barber that i am loyal too. But i have a list of barbershops who's cuts are above average for reasonable price mostly in queens and brooklyn. But Its a Nice and a well laid out looking place and very spacious and clean not your average cramped barbershop. All the barbers are wearing the moe's uniform its a good look and looks very professional and high end. But If you don't have all that Moolah$$ for a hair cut go down to the brothers down the block they are pretty good.
Awesome
Totally worth the price of admission
Carol! The best barber I've ever had cut my hair
Great and friendly atmosphere
My eyebrows and hair always look amazing!!
I go here to see Jayoutcuts every two weeks, he lace my hair everytime with the I'll designs.
The best barbershop there ever was respectful and polite
Basic hair cut for my 9 year old cost $20 !
Love Sherlock!! He is amazing!!
This barbershop is a media haven. If you're into being surrounded by photographers, videographers and spectators while getting your haircut, then this is the place for you. If you appreciate a warm, welcoming atmosphere with professional barbers who show courtesy and respect for their clients than steer clear of Denny Moe's. The barbers are very rude and inconsistent, and because of the constant media attention, you can bet your barber will be distracted on the quality of your cut a majority of the time. Denny Moe is the more courteous of the staff, however, barbers like Aric show little to no courtesy whatsoever. You get the feeling that you're wasting their time when you're there and it makes you reluctant in expressing the ideal style for you. Overall my experience with denny moes has been horrible. Stay AWAY!
Great shop
They're great at what they do.
Very professional and friendly barbershop.
awesome place, went in for a trim and they hit it just right
It has Great Reception
Took my 2 year old son here for his second hair cut. The place is spacious, clean and friendly. Barber J took good care of my son, I was so scared of him crying for this was his second cut. But to my surprise he didn't he was even helping to take off the hair from his clothing, while J cut his hair. Great Job Barber J and keep up the good work. Satisfied Parent
Why would anyone continuously pay $28 for a fade?
they're pretty good. Make an appointment or you'll be out of luck.
Great atmosphere, I was a walk-in and didn't have to wait. I'll return whenever I'm in NYC.
Best barber in new york i visit evry time im in new york
Second time coming to this place and trust me never again. First time I got a cut, showed the gentleman a picture on their yelp and asked for the same thing. I think he focused more on talking then the actual cut. Turned out nothing like the haircut I wanted. Second time, I walk in and I am completely ignored. I say hi, no response. The 4 barbers were all busy cutting hair so I decided to excuse them and just sit down. Luckily, sat down next to a women who alerted me that she had been waiting for over an hour for a haircut she had an appointment for. When I asked if she was greeted, she stated she was ignored as well. It felt bittersweet to know I wasn’t alone, but also dissatisfying that every customer who walks in is treated this way. Do yourselves a favor and don't come to this place, worst experience ever.
Authentic barber in New York. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They are real professionals, you will leave the place fresh and clean
I walked in greeted everyone. There were 5 barbers there. No one greeted me. I asked for a shape up no one responded to me. After 4 minutes someone looked in the back and said someone would be with me in a minute. Definitely I would not get my hair cut with that negative vibe...
Best barbershop in Harlem! Very Professional
Best barbershop in harlem...the name speak 4 itself....DENNY MOES SUPERSTARS
Denny Moe's on Fredrick Douglass in Harlem is great. They're all friendly and they have TVs around the shop and a lot of barbers so you don't have to wait long. Jay cut my hair. He was cool and gave me a sharp lineup, a smooth fade and cut the top nicely with scissors. If I visit New York again, I'm going to Denny Moe's for a 20 dollar fresh cut.
Walked in, wasn't waiting for too long. I asked for a skin fade. The cut was clean, precise and efficient. He used a twist brush for the top, I didn't ask for it but it looked good! I'm definitely going back. DJ I think his name is cut my hair. Nice people in there and a good atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
Best barbers in NY !
Sherlock's been cutting my hair for almost 10 years now, I've never been unsatisfied. Also, you're not gonna find another shop that does more for the community than Denny Moe's.
Was in NY for a week and wen there for a cut. Super nice staff! Was lucky enough to get Denny Moe himself. Never looked fresher in my life!
Got a great cut from Sherlock. Great laughs from all the guys while I waited.
Walked in, no one spoke to me. Waited for 15 minutes, no one acknowledged me. I can understand busy, but despite several people (barbers) looking at me, I guess I didn’t exist. I was able to get a haircut at Fig’s Barber Shop, 1 block to the north.
First cut at Denny Mos, cut by Malik. Absolute champion, faded me hell neat and lined my beard up good even put some beard oils too! Highly recommend Denny Moes for a classic barbershop experience.
Friendly Barbers
Great atmosphere, inviting staff, and over all one of my best barbershop experiences. Highly recommended, they do colors designs twist lock. Im actually writing this as im sitting with my bro getting ✂
I have been acquainted with Denny Moe's Superstar barbershop for over 4 years. Undeniably, they have highly skilled barbers, beauticians, hair dreaders, and an excellent nail tech. But this shop's owner, Dennis Mitchell, along with the support of the barbers and stylists, is a community outreach individual. He gives annual health seminars with the best HHC companies. The public is welcomed to the many screenings anywhere from hypertension, colon awareness, diabetes, spiritual enlightment and the list goes on. Also annually they hold an annual BBQ in which at least one young adult is given a nice monetary denomination to aid in their continuing education. This function is held at the infamous FDR state park, upper NY. One of the biggest and growing events is the Cutting for a Cure. The barbers partake in a non stop, hair cutting for 48 hours straight, giving haircuts, where the proceeds are contributed to finding a cure for cancer. While this event is going on you have several other events for your entertainment, such as spoken word poetry with participators from Smokey, to Autumn Ashante', The Truth, Isrealite and countless more legends. Located in central Harlem, which is nice diverse and safe community, I would definately recommend any culture to go there and be welcomed, and also walk away a very satisfied customer, with the excellent skills, and expertise of each barber and stylist.
Went in for an emergency cut. The only barber available was their new guy Al. Homie was amazing. I must admit I was nervous but I doubt Denny Moes would hire someone that would suck. Al definitely has the patience a barber needs. Very must detailed oriented. I may have found me a new barber. Great job guys.
Hair cut came out great but it took 2 hrs to complete bc barber kept getting distracted. also it was a super over priced hair cut ($30) especially since I had to re shave my face due to the fact they missed spots
Great place for great cuts. Clean, Spacious, and friendly.
My place for my haircut. Great barbers
I took my 3.5 year old. We had Mr.DJ cut his hair; and he did a wonderful job. The place was large and friendly. The women at the front was also very helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the environment of this barbershop. Def will bring my son again.
Ask for jay!
Im sorry i have to put a review but i made an appointment at 1:30 but i came a little earlier and he had someone in his chair so I waited and 1:30 passed and he ends up doing someone else’s hair. Secondly, the barber i was all the way in the back from all the other barbers and during the cut he kept stopping to do other stuff i showed him a picture of the style just so he can have an idea. During all his pauses and distractions, my hair ended up looking a hot mess i was embarrassed but i had to act like i liked it because I didn’t want to make him feel bad even tho i felt worse and most of all he charged me 40 dollars which was crazy. But i gave him the money and went on with my life.
Great shop
