I wanted to donate my hair and Micah took the time to research options and to make sure my hair was long enough. I came home with a braid of over 12 inches and a great haircut. Another perk is the Barberhouse is in the neighborhood. Highly recommended.

I like stepping into Micah's chair & entering straight into conversation with him! I decided to try Barberhouse after my previous barber decided to no longer offer his services. Going into the appointment I was not sure what to expect, but it ended up being the best experience I have had when going to a new barber. Micah is welcoming and outgoing, he made me feel like we had already known each other; which made it easy to talk with him and carry a conservation the entire time. You can tell Micah has a unique eye for design and detail from his studio, it is refreshing to go somewhere that isn't just your regular barbershop you can find in any neighborhood or another city. Before getting started, Micah spent the time to get an understanding of what I was looking for, what I like, what I don't like, and what my taste in style is. He shares his knowledge and experience with hair and style, which I greatly appreciate. Given there are no walk-ins and it is by appointment only, there are no distractions and his entire focus is on his current client during their appointment. Micah's passion for what he does and making his client's happy shows through his attention to detail and how your hair looks at the appointment. I would recommend Barberhouse to anyone that is appreciates a superior barber experience and anyone that doesn't have Micah as a barber, they are missing out.

The first time you come here you will be like "am I really supposed to just walk into this guy's back yard?" but then you'll be greeted with Micah's unique basement barbershop. Every appointment is a full hour and is private and 1-on-1; the only other customers I've seen are those leaving when I arrive early. On your first appointment you'll work with Micah to figure out what kind of look you're going for, whether it's your tried and true style or something new. And if you keep coming back, it gets better and better as he learns what works for your particular head shape and hair. Enjoy the great atmosphere and great conversation. About six months ago, I came to Barberhouse KC; my hair was boring. I did as little as possible up top and cut it super close so that I would never think about it. I was trying out a beard and it always felt like I was trying to be something other than myself. I BROUGHT ZERO IDEAS TO THE TABLE and Micah was able to make me look good. This place is awesome. It had been some months since I had a haircut, mostly because I wanted to grow my hair out and try something new. Booking my appointment was super easy and convenient- I was able to do it via the website and then received a text confirmation. I went in to get try a completely new style I'd never done before, and Micah understood exactly what I was looking for. The space itself is super cool in my opinion, small but professional and creates a much more personal vibe. Micah is obviously very talented and takes great pride in his work, as my haircut came out amazing. I was the only person in the shop during my appointment, so Micah and I chatted the whole time and I honestly didn't realize I had been there for a while hour by the time it was done. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this place. Excellent location, customer service, and the finished product will speak for itself.

In my experience, men's haircuts are about a couple of measurements, a basic style, and as little time as possible. Micah does something very different and refreshing!
