I swear almost every guy living in the area gets their hair cuts from here. Really a no frills old school barber shop. Find a barber you like and stick with them and they'll treat you right. Love that they give you free water and beer while waiting, because sometimes the wait can he long but it's worth it.

Closes at 5pm on Saturdays. Walked up at 4:40 which I get is a little late but still technically within their hours of operation. Guy flipped the open sign as I was opening the door and said sorry we're closed... Not as good as it was before the second one opened... My barber did not listen to me and took off way to much hair and on top of that, he made my hair and beard very uneven... if your a hipster, this is probably your spot but if you don't want to look like a tool bag, I would go somewhere else

I've had more bad experiences here than good ones. Truly depends on whose chair you sit in. Not going to review individual barbers, but I've had my hair messed up here pretty badly and sat with some really rude barbers. After my last experience, I doubt I'll be back.

Old Bank Barbers is the place to get your haircut. I advise to go during off hours (after work and the weekends are really busy). This establishment is great about finding the look you want. They also will give suggestions if you aren't really sure what you want or want to try something new. I have never had a bad haircut during the four years I have been going to Old Bank.

They were super rude when I went there. To preface. I have been there around 4 times. The first time I had an excellent cutter named Young who was nice and did a fantastic job. The next two time was fine and I had nothing good nor bad to say about it. The time after that, the person gave me lip for not knowing all the lingo regarding haircuts and was just kind of mean. The time after that was truly awful. I was about 5 minutes early before they were supposed to open, and through the window I saw that there was someone else getting a haircut. So I went in and asked if I could get mine cut, they pointed to a seat and I sat down. Once they put the cloth around me, my guy started yelling at me about how rude it was for me to come in before they were supposed to open. I brought up how the other guy was in there and they said that he was an exception. The whole rest of the haircut he was making snide remarks and was just super condescending. He was really just trying to be a jerk and treated me like garbage. I used to really think Old Bank Barbers was cool, and even after a not great experience my third time, I was willing to go again. But after the last one, I will NEVER step foot in that place again and will always try to dissuade people from going.

One of the only places in Baltimore that gives a good classic pompadour, even if they don't know how to style it properly. Just ask for the "Tiberious" or bring in a pic of your favorite greaser! I take my two year old son here as well, and they treat him nice. As for the atmosphere, it feels more like a tattoo shop than a barber shop, so if you like that kind of thing, this is the place!

If you look up hipster in the dictionary, you'd see a picture of this place. I've been here a hand full of times. Very very busy Friday-Sunday mornings (yup they are open on Sundays). Usually a line of line people waiting for a cut before the place even opens. They have about 6-7 chairs available for a cut, and you can expect them to be all filled on friday-sunday. The staff is friendly enough but don't expect too much warmth. Place is clean and well orangized chaos. The cost of the cuts appear to range from barber to barber, so try to see same person. There is only street parking in a very popular area, so be prepared to circle the block a few times before you find a spot if don't show up first thing in the morning. They do not accept appointments to my knowledge. Over all I would def recommend this place if your in a rush and or can't make your go to place

Been getting my hair cut here for about 4 years. I see Bubs most days unless my schedule ends up not matching his, then Zach is who I will see. Over the past year or so, the wait has been rather long due to the influx of customers. But then again it just goes to show how much people like this place. Cash only establishment so come prepared with cash and some free time on your hands. It’s nothing to wait 45 min- 1 hr to be seated with a barber at random. This includes random Tuesday afternoons. Complementary beer in the fridge when you walk in, good conversation with most of the barbers. You’ll be happy with the results, I personally don’t trust anyone else with my beard.

Amateurs! The Information on the website needs to be updated. That's 101, and you should be ashamed. Don't make plans around this place. Just show up and be disappointed. It's the same thing as if you spent a week looking at several barbers for your special day call ahead of time just like the site says, only to be told.... "Oh we don't do that on weekends, it's too busy." Your website doesn't say that anywhere. Fix your website to display how you really feel. "Weekends are a better opportunity for us to make money. So we won't take an extra 10 minutes to give you a hot towel or lather before your shave. We only do dry cuts on the weekend. Sorry all you get is alcohol and cold hard steel." If you're not a full service barber everyday then you're not a barber. Do your future customers a solid and update your site.

The haircuts at this place are tip top. However, it is not uncommon to have to wait more than an hour and a half to get a seat in the barber's chair. Everyone who works there is covered in tattoos and most of them sport a less than helpful attitude. It is worth it to go there once just for the people watching. My advice is to crack open a National Bohemian while you are waiting for your turn and keep your sense of humor about yourself.

The Old Bank Barbers is a cool barber shop. Staff are mostly all tattooed and pierced, save for one or two. The soundtrack is anything from Outkast to 60s R&B. The decor is definitely fun. Substantively, the haircuts are very good. The one downside is that waits can be long- upwards of an hour when it's crowded.

I was in there yesterday and the owner and one of the barbers were nasty and rude to me. If you're not young and hip looking they don't want you there. They have an article from City magazine entitled "This is not you're grandfather's barbershop." I feel they should put up a sign that says, "No one over 50 allowed." Maybe the Rotunda will have a barbershop in it again when it re-opens. Maybe if they're not busy all the time these guys will be a little nicer to their customers.

Frank can skin fade like no other. I'm pretty picky about my skin fades as I'm in the Marines and he nailed it. They are quick, priced very well and have beer in the fridge. You can't ask for a better setup with so many barbers too. Oh yeah and he knows motorcycles so it makes for great conversation. I won't be going anywhere else.

GO TO QG IN DOWNTOWN BALTIMORE INSTEAD OF THIS PLACE Staff was extremely arrogant, even after he made a huge blunder. Basically cut out a huge chunk of hair that I specifically told him to leave as is. Basically left my hair completely lopsided and called it a day.

There can be a wait here, but it's my favorite barber shop in Baltimore because of the consistency and the quality of my haircuts. I always go for Sean the barber. Always worth it. If there's a line, the reading material they have is quite entertaining, and plus there's free Natty Boh in the fridge. Also remember to take out cash because they don't accept any cards. $18 without tip for most men's cuts.

You'll get an amazing haircut for an amazing price. I've gotten $70 haircuts at fancy salons but those fancy salons can't do half as good as Old Bank. It's $17 but the quality of the work they do feels and looks immensely better than fancy salons that charge double or triple. I can't find a better value anywhere else. If you go during the weekday after 5pm or during the weekend you'll be waiting for a while but the wait is 100% worth it. Plus they have free beer while you wait so waiting isn't bad. There's a reason for the crowds. I personally like to get my hair cut by Leah. If she's not there the day you go, everyone can do a great job too.

I love this place. Always a great time and haircut. Normally I don't care who I let cut. Only 1 times have I been unhappy, but easy going and jist let my hair grow back....today, the same barber cut my hair, I was very skeptical at first, but hey, we all mess up time to time. Half way through my cut, I realized he has my beard completely uneven, scalped a small part of my mustache, and then proceed to do a hard part, and inch above where I already had it. Needless to say, I still love this place, but, will be making sure to request someone more experienced.

Great place for a cut. Some of the barbers get really weirdly intense about "what number" for cut length, which to be honest I've never been asked before or anywhere else I've been since. But I ended up not caring because once we figured it out it ended up looking good, and I learned more about how to specify length.

Great shop overall, but I started going somewhere else mainly due to the fact that it sometimes often gets crowded and they don't have any system to assist customers with who is next. A simple number ticketing system would be great. While I'm paying more somewhere else, having an appt and knowing I can get in and out under 20 minutes beats walking in and not knowing if I'll be there for an hour.

I like this place a lot. Very cool decor, classic barber shop feel. I'll be honest, I'm not crazy about the way so many barbers feel the need to banter and make meaningless conversation with me. I like that the barbers here are here to cut your hair and do a good job. Some people in these reviews call it bad service. I don't see it that way at all. They were quick to get me in, acknowledged me when I walked in, and did a great job with my hair. I have been twice, and will probably go again. You should too.
