I've tried many of the barbers here and they are all good. You have the option to buy hair products as well if you want. Lines can be long depending on the time and day you go. I usually try to make it in during the weekdays after work. You can also call and setup an appointment if you want. Overall good barbershop.

They usually do great at cutting hair. 1 of the 4 times I went, one of the guys gave me a s&%t haircut. Another time I went with my son, ( I made an appointment for both of us for the same barber) after my son got done with his haircut, the guy cutting his hair let one of his buddies slide in before me. I know this as fact because while he was giving my son a haircut, he answered a call and said "yeah, come on in and I'll get you taken care of real quick". Just now I called up there to make an appointment, Rick answered, I asked if a certain barber was in, he said no. I asked if I could make an appointment with this certain barber , Rick said "You'll have to talk to him". I asked if he knew when this barber would be in, he said he didn't know. I asked how I could make an appointment with this certain barber, Rick said "you'll have to talk to him". I've almost always had a problem with making an appointment. Not worth it!!!

I went in today with high expectations and was not disappointed. Vicki gave me a great haircut, some helpful hair advice and very pleasant conversation. The shop itself is tucked into a mini-mall/plaza right next to rockeville square. With a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, average prices, a friendly staff and great haircuts, this shop is a terrific find! EDIT! Second time through I received the worst haircut of my life... It was not Vicki, but an elderly gentleman who truly mutilated my hair to the point that I went across town and got a rescue haircut at Q L.

I can’t describe how happy I am with the results every time I go for a cut. Always make an effort to deliver as per my request. Plus, I always find myself falling asleep during the hot towel shave. There’s definitely no better place than this.

I'd been taking my now 7 year old son to Jim's Barbershop in Bethesda since he was 2, but our favorite barber, Anna, left before the summer. I was lucky enough to stumble across Rick's Barber Shop and Vivienne; who's even better than Anna! She takes care of every detail and does the cut to perfection! Came here when I first moved to Kansas. Walked in waited for 2.5 hrs. The barber said someone will be with me and they do accept walk ins. Time went by and it was closing time they said no one will be cutting hair anymore. Haven’t came back since. Seems like a great atmosphere but customer service isn’t there. Seems like you have to know the barbers to get a cut. Don’t accept walk ins if y’all gonna have them wait and not get cut. Waist of time.

Being a former Marine, nothing drives me crazier than a barber toiling endlessly over what should be a 10 minute haircut to make you feel like you are getting your money's worth. Unfortunately that is the case most of the time. Vicky at Ricks "gets it". She cuts my hair perfectly, is a great conversationalist, and has me out of the chair in a reasonable time. I have been going there for over three years and will continue.

All advertising says they open at 6am on Saturday, I waited till 7:20 till the first employee showed up. He had appointments, so I couldn’t get in. I was told the next guy would be there at 8, waited till 8:15 and still nobody. Horrible service, I will never give them another opportunity. If it’s your first time going there, double check their hours. If I could give less than 1 star I would!

I recently moved from Colorado where I had typically gone to a mass-chain type barber. After looking for that chain here, I wasn't able to find one that was convenient. After doing some additional research online, I came across Rick's Barber Shop. It was close by and all of the other reviews seemed positive. I called ahead and there was no wait. When I asked what the standard haircut rate was, I was surprised to learn it was $7 cheaper than what I had paid at the mass-chain barber. (Rick's Standard Haircut: $15) When I arrived I was promptly seated and shared a very nice conversation with the barber. This is definitely a good place to get a quality haircut at a fair price.

Dong has been cutting my hair for over 5 years, always did an outstanding job. I recently moved out of Rockville so i can’t come here as often as id like. I highly recommend Ricks Barber Shop.

Be warned, I am 100% biased in this review. Now that, that is out of the way. I have been coming to Rick's for as long as I can remember. Just as a reference that's over 20+ years. Even before he opened this shop. I have never been disappointed in the hair cuts that I get here. All the barbers here know what they are doing and will get it done right the first time. Fair priced and depending on how busy, quick service. The gentleman here are friendly and I see no problem coming back for another 20 years.
