Really the best option for a haircut for a guy in the city if you don't want to go to Supercuts and play Sophie's choice on which part of your head you care the least about or pay a bunch of $$ to go to a fancy salon and get the same haircut for 3x the price. This is an old school barbershop in a much cleaner and nicer space. I've never had a bad haircut here. Same people as Old Bank barbershop in Hampden. Haircut is $18. As a bonus, they have beers in the fridge to kill the time while you wait. They take their time cutting your hair making sure they are as detailed as needed to make you happy. And they clean off the back of the neck with a hot shave by straight razor at the end.

I was rudely rushed in and out in five minutes for a clean-up of my hair and beard, then charged $18 for poor results. The whole time I was made to feel like an annoyance and an inconvenience when all I wanted was a simple trim. Do not recommend.

Very good barbershop, friendly & professional staff. I frequent both Old Market Barbers & Old Bank Barbers. My favorite barber works at both as do many of the barbers. The wait time at Old Market Barbers seems less, but parking isn't as good as that at Old Bank Barbers.

IN SUMMARY, DO NOT VISIT NEAR CLOSING TIME. It's been my favorite place, except my last encounter. I arrived there an hour before the closing. By the time it was my turn, it was close to closing hours. I tried to explain the haircut that I wanted, but he was obviously in a hurry and cut me off that he knows what I want. When I discovered that it was not what I wanted and asked for more trimming, he told me that it was time to close and refused to do so. I do not think an hour before closing was an unreasonable time. Otherwise, barbers are skilled at their jobs and reasonably priced. Please follow up if you would be so kind so I could fix the review.

Simply the best true barber shop in town. The Old Market is a little slower pace than the Old Bank which is nice. Dan and his team take their time to get it right and all for only $17! They move people through at a good pace and they do get busy but it’s worth the wait. There is also a cold beer, good conversation, and lots of reading material. They’ll do just about everything including a shave. They are kid friendly but primarily adults. Really, the only good haircut in Baltimore.

A distinctive style and atmosphere. Always busy, this is the 2nd storefront to a locally owned barber shop. Most barbers spend some time at both locations. I've been a few times and have been pleased. Cash only. No appointments. Come enjoy a beer and update your hair style (or just trim up). They do a great job with beards! These barbers take pride in their work and do a thorough job.

Danny has been cutting my hair for a little over a year now and I couldn't be happier. Very high quality cuts that always look nice not only for a week but for a few weeks. The shop is a very modern feel decorated real nice. Always comfortable while you wait not sitting on top of people. Plus all of the barbers talk to all of the clients so it's always a good fin conversation while you're there. Best barbershop in Baltimore.

yeah, i tried OLD BANK ...great place, but i waited over an hour, both are the same owner and fantastic. These guys get you in/out and are great. Also a lot cleaner aesthetics inside, but that's subjective. Parking can be challenging so plan ahead for that. Really great company and I am so glad to be able to get a decent haircut.
