The service is absolutely horrible. I bought my two daughters here to get two French braids and sat for 4 1/2 hours for a complete trashy job. They were rude as well. Was in from out of town and needed something quick and simple done today for my birthday. Came across this shop on Google and it wasn't far from my hotel. Ms. Kate did my braids and she paid attention to detail even though it was only 2 feed ins. The gentleman in the back did my undercut and asked my approval after the start of every cut before continuing. I am satisfied, it was just what I wanted.

Paid $220 for braids that aren’t even full and NO WHERE near what I actually wanted. Had to pay up front and the stylist working on me was extremely extremely rough with my hair. Never coming back. Extremely dissatisfied. Lesson learned. Don’t fall for the 5 star ratings, it means nothing. They say they know how to deal with natural hair but that is a LIE. Most of their own hair is damaged to the core... unbelievable.

TERRIBLE!!! I took my baby boy up there to get his hair cut. The barbar( the only one with dreads) cut my sons hair line uneven in the front ,sides , and back . his clippers had to be dirty because my sons head broke out like hives. He didnt even clean the hair off him! He keeps scratching, im calling my lawyer!

I love this Barbershop! Been going here for over a year and I get a cut at least once per week. There is always someone there, great atmosphere, open early and stays open late, quick service, I am normally in and out in 20 minutes or less. Ask for Divine and he will take care of you. Every 5th haircut is free!

Worst experience. Was told one price for my hair on the phone and told another when I got to the shop. The braiders also braided my hair too tight leaving my scalp irratated with scabs and hair started unraveling after three days. The style did not even last a week. I will not be going back to this shop ever again. Waste of my money

I left work at 5:30pm on a Friday and NEEDED my hair done that night. I am so thankful I found them. They washed and blow dried my hair before twisting it and I had two girls on my head. I got there about 7 and left before 11. No joke. And the ladies asked questions about my preferences and listened. And it was affordable. I am so satisfied with the results and plan on going back.

Just a few days ago I had kinky twists done here by Cynthia and everything was great all around. From the the price , which for Maryland, was good, and I love the end results. The fact that when I told her I wanted it short and that's what I recieved, most hairdressers that I've been to in this state don't seem to understand the concept of short or shoulder length hair and make it longer, is the main reason why I'll be back again!

This place is a management disaster. Called in advance and agreed upon the price. Was only getting a touch up on a few braids. Went in and again agreed on the previously agreed price.They did decent work and I give the stylist the agreed price only to be told a completely different price that was significantly different. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I called in and spoke with Stella. I told her exactly how I want my hair and what other services I wanted. She quoted me one price over the phone. After she finished she stool her hand out and said "money" like completely rude. Then once I give her the money she says that I shorted her and states that the style was $100 more than what I gave her. I will never return to the place EVER AGAIN!!! Also they in there braiding elderly women hair and it looks bad charging them all that money. Worst experience EVER!! I guess this time I didn't get what I paid for! If I were you I would stay far far away from this shop

I would recommend getting any other hairstyle from here except goddess faux locs. Just got them done and they are extremely stiff. I can’t do anything with them. They stick straight out and won’t go into a bun. I was then told it would take 1 week for them to loosen for me to do anything with them. I am going on a trip in a few days and it’s going to look a stiff mess until the trip is over. I asked the stylist if it was possible to redo using a different method she became offended. When spending $200+ on a style you want to leave feeling and looking good...not having to wait 1+ weeks to look good. I’m full of so much regret getting the goddess faux locs. If I had known this was the process I would not have come. I would recommend any other style but faux locs from this location.

I'm not impressed with the final result. The customer service was great. They were accommodating and made me feel very comfortable. However, the final product was bulky and had many short braids that did not blend. If i hadnt paid as much as I did, I would have taken them out the same day. I called to complain and was told to come back. I was just pissed and never went back in. I would not go back. My experience does not match these reviews ... at all.

The Senegalese twists they put in my daughter's hair were loose and not neat at all.. Like the work was done by an amateur braider...and the braider was extremely rude the whole time. I've had a better experience since then with Mel Styles, which is a stylist I found on Facebook. Also my sister had hers done at Braiding House with no complaints if are looking for an alternative.

I do not think that I will return to this place ever again. The barber who is the owner man handles my head and is so rough. He does not understand being gentle and as a business you have to cater to your customer's needs. Women such as myself do not like to be man handled! :Last time, I was there, he was upset with one of his workers not coming into work on time and started to get rough with my head as if it was my fault. What the heck! So unprofessional. I had been going there for a while and had another barber who did a good job. Then that barber was not around anymore so the owner started to cut my hair. I think he also overcharges me because he thinks that I have money because of a new car that I got. Time for a new barber, hopefully, one that treats me better and I am not even the complaining types but here we are!
