I was looking for a barbar shop to give my daughter at tapper and to get myself a lining (after being butchered at a "high-end" shop) and found this shop hidden on the back of what look like an office building. I got there right when it opened at 9am hoping 1. they accepted walk-ins and 2 . they wasn't typical Saturday morning crowded. I was pleased that they both accepted us and was free cut after only one person. The receptionist was pleasant as well as the two female barbars Priscilla and other lady I can't remember name. Mixed music going on, clean shop (sweeping after each cut), modern. To be honest I was a bit nervous that, as an African American male, I'm getting a cut in a non-African American shop and by a woman (I simply never had a woman cut my hair, it's just not common in AA shops). My daughter 16 was up first and she liked her hair cut... and she's very hard to please. Teens. Priscilla gave me a lining the was sharp as a tack all the while giving great customer service. At checkout (they do accept credit card) I was surprised at how reasonably priced they was and gave a great tip. I will be returning and would recommend them to anyone looking for a cut.

I've been taking my teen son's to sports clips , hair cuttery etc..... then after sub par hair cuts and never knowing who's going to be cutting your hair from visit to visit I hit the internet looking for a barber shop close by and Elesmod came up so we gave it a try and I'm so happy we did Romy cut my hair as well as my 16 yr olds hair and let me say the man is talented , pleasant and runs a nice shop !!! We will definitely be coming back from now on and I highly recommend you give it a try great teen trends as well as business cuts . Thanks Romy , Tom

First time trying out this barbershop after doing a Google search for places that I could walk to on my lunch break. The team was friendly and efficient in cutting my hair; was out within 20 minutes! I'll be back again. Also love that they take reservations!

Having the ability to make an appointment is a huge plus. They are excellent when it comes to seeing you at your designated time as well (sometimes early, if you get there before your appointment). Staff is always friendly, would highly recommend.

Although everyone here gives a good cut, Romi is definitely the reason I keep coming back again and again. He has repeatedly lived up to the Elesmod (elegant, modern, stylish) name by gently pushing me towards haircuts which are better and a little more daring than I would have otherwise pursued with another stylist (don't judge my stodgy old chop in my Google profile picture). Beyond that, he does a bang-up job on my beard. Also, he sings. Very well. Seriously, pray you go in when he's in one of his singing grooves because it will put you in the best mood for the rest of the day!

I have been here twice and the haircuts are great! However, customer service is also important to me which is why I gave two stars. Had an appointment at 5:45 today and left with plenty of time to get there 10 minutes early, however accident on the highway and a lane blocked off which my GPS estimated I would be 10 minutes late. Knowing that I called Elesmod to let them know the situation and honestly I would have been completely fine with them saying the barber assigned to me had to leave early so couldn't take me 10 min late. That was the case, however I was then lectured about how next time I need to make sure I am on time because I caused them to lose business. Safe to say I'll be going to another barber next time.

Great little shop! Elesmod is a tiny shop but with really high quality barbers. I love to research before I go and I am really pleased with this gem. I had been to several other barbers in the area first but could not find anyone outstanding. I looked and tried several shops until I landed at Elesmod. Only a few guys cutting hair, but both are excellent. Very quick, affordable and honest. My last visit I was stuck on a conference call, needless to say, I missed most of my appointment (I use Booksy) and I would have had to pay regardless per their policy, but they were so kind and still took me although I made them wait. Really excellent customer service and great cuts!!

I stopped in on Wednesday 09/25/2019 at approximately 4:50 PM. When I entered the shop, the barber standing closest to the door asked if I had an appointment. I told him no and he gave me a look. I asked if they accepted walk-ins and he spent a couple of minutes on his phone before saying yes. There was another barber also. Both of them were cutting hair. Another customer entered and the 2nd barber took him once the other customer was finished. The guy I initially spoke with finished about 45-50 minutes after I initially arrived. He had me come up to his chair and asked me what I would like done. I told him that I wanted a straight razor fade with my beard faded in and a hot towel shave. He gave me another look, told me he wouldn’t have time to complete all of that and pulled his phone out. He then proceeded to tell me that he only have 30 minutes. I got up from the chair and told him that I didn’t want half a job done and walked out of the shop. After I walked out, the barber open the door and started to yell for me to come back, but the guy didn’t seem interested in cutting my hair anyways and I didn’t want a rush job done. I understand that being a walk in that I wouldn’t have preferential treatment. However I have a full grown beard and a head of hair that hasn’t been cut in at least 2 months. There was no way he was finishing my haircut in 30 minutes even without the straight razor. Instead of him telling me this, he led me to believe that he would be able to perform the haircut and ended up wasting my time. The other thing that bothered me was the fact that they wouldn’t speak English in the shop unless they were talking to a customer. My opinion is that you don’t speak to other employees in a language that isn’t understood in a restaurant or barber shop. They did this the whole time I was there and its disrespectful in my opinion. We don’t know what you’re saying or who you’re saying it about. Have a restaurant or shop is supposed to make someone feel comfortable and their shop and the attitudes given off by the employees was not welcoming. They did look like they knew what they were doing, but they need to work on their customer service skills.

I got a haircut and a beard trim for $25. My man killed it. You can pay with cash or card, reserving was easy. Would get a 5th star if he had offered to put product in my hair after, and hadn't missed a small spot on my face. Overall, solid.

After years of trying to cut costs by going to cheap haircut chains, I decided to go back to a proper barber shop. Have been going to Elesmod now for about 6 months, and am delighted with the experience and the results that I get with Prissy. I usually ask for haircut + beard trim, which includes the pre-shave hot towel treatment. I hadn't seen that in a barber shop since I was a kid. Love it. The only challenge is parking. Metered street parking will cost you about $2. I usually combine this with a brief library visit, so by parking at the library garage, validating my ticket there, and walking a block, I can usually keep parking costs to $1.

Ok barber shop. My haircut was good but the staff wasn't very friendly. A lot of places give acceptable haircuts but I'd say a big reason why you come back again is the atmosphere and this place just didn't have it. You also have to pay for metered parking which is a pain. The up side is that the wait was short and it's right next to the movie theater.

Manuel was good and precise. My only issue was that it wasn't close enough however I should have put my glasses on when he asked me to check it. Regardless, it looks really good!
