Today was my 1st visit to gentleman quarters and it will not be my last. Mick is a true professional at what he does. This isn't your stereo typical Barbershop where you sit in silence and get a mediocre haircut. Mick is a pleasure to speak with and is very insightful with recommendations to produce the best outcome. I would highly recommend taking the time to come here for a haircut, not only for the professionalism but for the experience. You will not be disappointed!!

A great local experience. Mick was professional and courteous. I have been looking for the right local barber for a few years and I certainly went to the right place. Mick gave me many different options for my haircut and the trimming of my beard. He was very familiar with the teqniques and was not afraid to tell me what he was doing and why. When I go to a barber I am looking for the full experience as opposed to a ten minute poorly done job that I had no say in. If you are looking for a good experience for all ages, I would highly recommend Mick at the Gentlemen's Quarters Barber Shop. Came here expecting to see Mick and I should have known that he would have a customer because everyone wants to sit with him. I roll the dice and got lined up by Amanda and I was extremely extremely happy with how it turned out. Next time I go in if Mick is not there Amanda will be the one I'm looking for. Even if he is there I'm still comfortable going to see Amanda and that's always nice to have two top choices at one shop. family-friendly shop, music, environment and overall welcoming vibes.

For the quality of work Mick does you can't beat the price. (Military discount and Sr citizen discount as well) It is the best fade I have received in years. Not to mention the atmosphere and genuine hospitality he brings. I would recommend Gentlemans Quarters to anyone. He is a barber that takes pride in his quality and customer service. Great place for a haircut locally, very nice inside! Has that old barbershop vibe. However, hours are very inconsistent even when there are 4 heads inside and close at 4. But they are still very new and room for improvement! Recommend this place!

This is by far the best haircut I've ever gotten. Amanda was phenomenal, and gave me exactly what I wanted. The atmosphere is stellar and everyone is a gem. I got a great haircut, a beard trim, and a hot towel for less than a night out for dinner and I couldn't be happier. 10/10 only coming here from now on!

GQ is a great place. Completely unexpected the vibe of this shop on the lackluster street it is on. My partner and I found this shop through an online search and came due to the reviews. She was nervous because of the name and assumed she might be shunned. Instead, Mick was inviting, sweet, and gave her a gorgeous cut. She has already been back once more and has stated that she has found her place. Highly recommended and definitely LGBT friendly. Thanks Mick!

I took my five year old to get his hair cut for the start of the school year. I had no expectations, because my son has historically been too fidgety or nervous to sit still and receive a complete haircut. However, Mick put my son at ease immediately. He talked him through everything that was being done, and my son was completely relaxed. It was amazing. My son not only was able to sit through the whole haircut with no issues, but the haircut itself was an A+. My son left feeling like a million bucks. Not to mention the shop is very large, open, comfortable, and clean. Great job, Mick.

For a small shop that offers TOO much. Those who signs up for the “pass” gets to skip the line when those are STILL waiting. Where is the sense in that? One: There isn’t enough barbers at one time to offer this specialty pass, it’s usually one guy in the shop. And this is speaking for other people who has been into GQ. Two: I’ve heard complaints where there isn’t much description about purchasing gift cards. If you purchase gift cards from “a” barber. You have to use that same barber. I do not see any sense in that as well, why not put the money GC are purchased into a reserved account and release the funds to them after (whomever the barber is).... I fully understand and appreciate every business I’ve been in and supported, not being biased just statin facts. I know everyone appreciate the owner and his practice of business. And anyone can defend it all they want. The owner wants to run a reputable shop but is seldom there, or is running late every time, or CLOSING EARLY!!! Please.... either hire more staff to fill these empty booths or do not run a shop and use “family” as an excuse. Close the shop down if you have to, to spend more time with them. I apologize if I anger “micks” valued customers. But I know you are all thinking the same. And if those who cross the owner, expect nasty and theatening messages. I’ve seen them. Remember. We the customers pay their paychecks. But not too happy with this barbershop. If anyone wants reliable barbers, go to Kings and Queens in Brunswick. They have more barbers and I believe taught many barbers who open up thier own started there before venturing off on their own. Appreciate those who helped you. And for those who went there for them first time and had an awesome experience, don’t get too used to it. It will change. Watch.
