Had a great experience. It's always a little nerve wracking getting your hair cut from a barber that is not yours. I didn't have time to get a haircut before leaving for vacation. The area I was staying at in NOLA had a barber shop every block so I looked up some reviews and decided on the HeadQuarters. I'm glad I did. I got there didn't have an appointment and got me in a chair in a reasonable amount of time. I was extremely satisfied with my cut.

So Jamal McCoy has built a world class New Orleans Barber Shop and Salon, fully equipped with Master Practitioners of their craft. However he is not stopping there. I would seriously keep an eye on this place as he is slowly making it a cultural and community center and and accurate representation of what New Orleans was always supposed to be, not what Katrina left behind or what the powers that be would have you believe that New Orleans is now.
