I was a little skeptical when I saw how much it was going to be for a men's haircut and beard trim.... but it's definitely worth the price! Nate took his time to ask my hubs about what he wanted and spent a good amount of time and attention on giving him the perfect cut. He explained things to my hubs about how to style for the cut he gave him as well as what products he used. I would rate this place as an outstanding 10! We have found a new barber and Nate has found a lasting client

So typically I'm not a review writing kind of person. I tend to spread my thoughts on places I go by word of mouth. It's always seemed more powerful or impactful that way. That said, I felt that I had to put the way I feel about this place to the proverbial "pen and paper". I've been going to The Roosters Nest basically since its inception and its addition to Cha Cha's. I'm oddly particular about my hair, and I would tend to guess if you are reading this review, you are as well. I was driving over an hour to get my hair cut at a Barber Shop in Louisville that I trusted and knew. Then, The Roosters Nest opened and it looked and felt very much like what I was used too. Only not an hour away, and here in Lexington! I was skeptical at first, but I knew and trusted the amazing people that own it. (Both of which, had never cut my hair before, nor were they the ones that would) I immediately fell in love with the place, and I've never driven an hour for my haircut since. This is "THE" place to go for as full service of an experience that you are looking for from a Barber Shop, or a Salon. I'm a manager in the service industry, and the founder of my company literally wrote the "text book" on hospitality. So when I say that these folks truly understand and display hospitality in everything they do, I feel like I know what I'm talking about. From the moment you walk in the door you are no longer a customer, a potential client, but simply a guest in their establishment. It's like going to a friends house for drinks, laughs, and a great conversation. Best part is, they have all of that! Literally! Oh and I almost forgot to say, they are exceptionally good at what they do! I hope I never have to drive hours away to get my haircut again, but if I did, I will for this place and these people! Ladies, tell the Guys in your life to go try The Roosters Nest, it's badass and he will dig it for sure! Fellas, tell the Ladies in yours, how amazing she will look and feel going to Cha Cha's! You simply can not go wrong here!

This place is the best barbershop hands down. All of the barbers have dapper hair styles and beards. I let my beard grow for a year and went there and I was amazed by the work Aaron Hughes did. He didn’t rush at all. They offer free beer and sodas. Just go in and take a look of the barbershop. It’s like a barbershop you’d see in a magazine. Very professional group of gentleman. Call and make an appointment though. They are busy. I call ahead a few days to a week when I go.

The Rooster's Nest is a throwback to The Barbershop of yesteryear. I grew up in a small town where The Barbershop was a place of gathering and solitude. The decor and classic overall vibe that you get upon entering is great. The receptionists are great and prompt. I feel special when I am there and that's before you even have gotten in the chair. The cuts and beard care at this shop are nothing short of amazing. I have been going for almost two years at this point and I will continue to go an treat myself. I encourage you to do the same.

This was my first and only trip. Found this place through Google search. I’m from out of town and not impressed with the quality of the cut. The guy who cut my hair had only been cutting for 7 months and it showed. He seemed rushed because he was already running behind so he really didn’t pay attention to what I wanted. I will say the barber next to him, might have been the owner, was cutting really good and seemed to know what he was doing. Not happy with my experience.

Was a great opening experience and then it went down hill FAST because I had no previous appointment. They “squeezed me in” with a stylist that rushed through my haircut, left stray/untrimmed hair everywhere only so they could overcharge and give me a “simple shave” like I had asked, only to find out that a hot towel on your face is considered a $40 steam shave and that a simple haircut from a “stylist” is $35 dollars. When I confronted them about the price I was told that the services had been done and there was to be no refunds given. Save your money on this overpriced smoke show!

What's not to love about a barber who is conversant in The Who, Dwight Yoakam and Elvis, who also does a great job cutting your hair? This shop is my favorite recent discovery about Lexington in the last 6 months. It's a barber shop, a real honest to God barber shop. They've got dead animals mounted on the walls, pictures of trucks and pretty women. If Michael had just a hint of bourbon on his breath (he didn't) I'd feel like I was sitting in Mr. Holt's chair in Imperial Barbers on Waller Ave. in 1968. Oh and even better, when it's it's all done, after you've wallowed in sheer manliness for about 30-40 minutes, you get to 'settle-up' with a lovely and cheerful young lady who'll chase you down in the parking if you are so over-joyed at the experience that you walk out forgetting your pomade. I'm all in on this place. The Rosster's Nest strengthens my faith in the future, in Humanity and the American Way of Life. God bless The Rooster's Nest.

From the first moment I spoke to them on the phone I was assured that my beard was in good hands. I am very pleased with the trim I received and if I lived closer I would not go anywhere else.

They have three master barbers there plus a bunch of up and comers. I have been moving around the country for the last five years for work and one of my least favorite things about loving to a new city is finding a good barber. This barber shop is the place to find that barber. They are appointment only and they provide the kind of quality cut that warrants that business model. I had Dakota do my fade and beard trim and I booked another cut once I was done because he did such a great job. It cost me $41 for the cut and beard trim not including tip. If you think that's too expensive or if you don't plan on tipping then just go to one of the many chain "barber shops" that don't have any licensed barbers working there. They will gladly screw up your cut for twenty bucks. If you want a quality cut, shave or trim then go to rooster's. These dudes will do it right and all you have to do is sit in old school super comfortable barber's chairs. Also, don't be a jackass. These guys take their craft seriously and want to make you look as good as possible. Tip them accordingly.

I recently moved to KY front ATL and hadn't had my hair cut or colored in several months because of the horrors that have happened to my hair in the past from walking into a random salon hoping for the best. This time I did my research about salons in the area and came across Cha Chas Instagram page and visited their website. Their stylists work really speaks for itself. Everyone who works there is so professional, nice and accommodating! I booked an appt with Maggie where I walked in with dead ends, a brassy hair color that needed a good tone, and dark roots haha Maggie looked at pictures I showed her of the hair color I wanted and listened to my current hair concerns. She did a natural balayage, toner, and gave me a trim. All of the products they use are natural and without the harsh chemicals many of us are used to using on our hair and they smelled so good! I booked my next appt with her that day! So glad I found this diamond!

Edit: I'm impressed by the customer service after my experience. The owner of the shop called me to personally apologize for the inconvenience. They found another time for me and made it work. Cool shop, however they tend to run over their booking times. I had an appointment at 1:00 and waited till about 1:25 before I decided to leave.
