I have been going to Phillips for a couple years now. I even have been taking our 3 year old son there. really enjoyed the place UNTIL TODAY. When i took my 3 year old son in for an early morning hair cut at 8:50am before school ( picture day ) :-) only 1 guy was there working. oldest guy there front right chair gray / white hair. So my kiddo gets up in the seat, we talk about his cut, get cape on & dude goes to walk away to the back. ( he was going to take a smoke break, the same thing he does before every hair cut ) I asked him nicely to please not smoke before cutting my sons hair. I didn't want that smell next to my son while getting his hair cut. ( i have been cut by him & the small is really nasty have to hold my breath most the time he is cutting ) The dude then undoes the cape & sets my son on the ground. I said WHAT, are you telling me you wont cut his hair & hold off 15 minutes for a smoke break ? He said yep no one tells me what i can or can not do. I said i asked not told. i then gave him a piece of my mind & thanked him for messing up my sons school pictures. I WILL NEVER EVER GO THERE AGAIN OR REFER THEM TO ANYONE.

I dont know if his name was phillip but this guy had white hair old man .He cuts on the first chair further inside the place .He did a horrible job.Does not know how to fade my kids and wife told me how horrible it was .I will never go there again the most expensive and worst hair cut ever .who ever is reading this email I m warning you dont do it you will regret it I wish I could post a picture its cut all the way around no fade.

Waited for more than an hour. My name was 2nd on the “list” and everyone that came in after me just walked right in. One guy came in and asked how long the wait was and the lady told him he had three people in front of him.. me being one, somehow he was the next one up. Ridiculous that I just wasted more than an hour waiting for a haircut! Never going back

Two words - vacuum shears! I have been going there since I was a kid, and now I make the drive from Middletown just for them. There can be a wait, but there's a reason for that... People are willing to wait for great service. Classic barber with straight razor neck shave. Cash only.

I enjoyed the fact that I got a straight razor use to line my neck in hairline up. The warm shaving cream is the kind of thing that makes you feel like you're taking back until the past centuries where they didn't use nothing but straight razors. Being from a family who has a wife and mother that and the hair industry, there's only certain things that can stand out as one to enjoy. My boys enjoyed it getting their haircut there, and I had to say not too shabby!

I started going here for hair cuts about summer of 2013. I've been pleased with the service and the haircuts I've got there. They use expensive clippers with the vacuum built into is so there's virtually no hair on you when you leave. I typically get my hair cut on my lunch break so that works out perfectly for me. They also, as part of a haircut, use warm shaving cream and a straight razor to shave the back of your neck and your ears (if you want). Pretty neat experience. It is a BARBER SHOP that specializes in MEN'S haircuts. If you are looking for less of a beauty salon experience and more of a quick, sharp looking haircut by guys who know how to cut mens hair, I recommend them.
