The man has hands like a surgeon's. He has that innate talent to decide what's the best style for your head. You can keep your eyes closed for the entire haircut and when you open them, you are NEVER disappointed. Ira is the best value for money. He is my regular barber from now on.

It's a small quaint little barber shop and it's very nostalgic. Decorated with lots of UK memorabilia. It's easy to pass up on Monmouth but it is right next to the Pepper Pod. Both barbers give an excellent haircut and always top it off with a straight razor and hot cream to trim your edges for no extra cost. They are very efficient so if there are a few people in front of you, it won't be a long wait. It only costs $10. For the service you get, it's well worth the price.

Just found out about this little gem. Ira is an amazing Barber and does amazing work. One of the very few I've been to that still uses a straight razor to clean up your neck and the warm lather is such an amazing touch. This man will be my barber from here on out.

They always give me a excellent haircut. Many barbers in the past, have told me my hair is hard to cut. I would recommend to anyone that wants a good haircut for a great price. At $10.00.....you can't find another barber that cheap. .I will be going there in the morning and for all future haircuts. .

Ira is the finest barber in the area, without question. I've been in his chair hundreds of times (since I was a kid) and never had a bad cut. Don't worry about him rushing through if there is a crowd because he takes his time with everyone. They also do straight razor/hot lather neck shaves with every cut, unless you don't want one.

Ira and Chris run the best barber shop in town! I got my first cut here and I still love this place. Quality cuts at $10. They've always been able to provide the cut i asked for. I've had a shave here, too. Highly recommend.

Awesome barbershop run by father/son tandom. They cut quickly so don't let a crowd keep you from sitting down and waiting your turn. The tv usually has some western on and there is an old Coke machine reminding you of days gone by. They are incredibly cheap for being so good at their craft. I have also witnessed their kindness with youngsters. Solid all the way around. Easy to miss but next to Pepper Pod restaurant.

I have been getting my haircut here since I've been 11 or 12 years old. IRA provides a peaceful non-dramatic old school environment, and puts in great time and detail with each and every customer that sits in his Barber chair. A highly recommended place to get your hair and beard groomed.

Dude straight up does not know how to cut hair. I asked for the simplest of haircuts, "a 3 all over", and somehow he managed to slip up in several places and make it look uneven

Great traditional barber shop in the heart of downtown Newport. I've been getting my hair cut at Ira's for the past year and been very happy with the results. Reasonably priced with free public parking right next door. I don't think they take appointments, and if there is a wait, it is minimal.
