This salon is THE BEST. Period. We booked this place to ourselves, as a bridal party, this past Sunday for hair and make-up. These women are absolutely incredible; truly magic at their craft! I had mid-back length hair that had been through the ringer - multiple colorings, no trims for over a year, hair drying and straightening every day, and I recently lost a lot of hair which left my ends looking thin and unhealthy. I told her what I was thinking of doing to my hair, and then she offered her professional opinion and recommendations which were more than welcomed. Tip for new clients: be sure to make an appointment (their online reservation system is smooth and intuitive) a few days beforehand, as they do book up!

Worst experience I have had in years. Stylist cut my hair a good 3 inches shorter than I showed her. I will never come back. I loved my hair before, just wanted to trim a few inches and now literally over half of it is gone and an awkward length at that. To make it worse I have wavy/curly hair so the stylist also clearly did not think about the fact that when my hair dries it will be even shorter. Wish I had never walked through the doors.

I scheduled an appointment at the Rooster’s Nest after searching on Yelp and seeing the high rating they have. I highly recommend their services. I’m in town for a wedding and needed a full straight razor shave and beard line up. Nate was awesome! Very professional and meticulous, which is always great from a barber. They even give you a complimentary drink while you’re waiting.

I thought this place was much too expensive given the level of expertise here. A single process hair color with no cut was nearly $200. It looked good when I left the ship, but after a couple shampoos, once the toner washed out, I saw that the coverage on my regrowth was not ideal. There appear to be many stylists there, and I imagine some are better than others. I recommend researching other reviews to see if there are recommendations.

Austin is awesome. He treated me like royalty. I came in for a haircut and beard trim. Not only did he shave the back of my neck (straight razor and all) but also washed my hair, styled it, and used a back massager. Like... what? You don't find etiquette like that in barber shops anymore. I've been looking for a consistent barber, as I just moved to Lexington, and I just found one. I will never get another hair cut or beard trim anywhere else, and it will always be with Austin. Great service, great cut, and not to mention, an affordable price ($35) for both services. I'm used to paying $50-60 and the incredible prices let me splurge on the tip. Can't rave about the experience enough. Thanks, y'all.

The banter of the guys working made it feel like a fun place to hang out and wait your turn. Although this was more expensive than my $10 cut back home I'll make 1.5hr trip again. I've been coming to cha chas for about 5 years now. For the last few months I've been driving from Louisville to come get my hair done at cha chas. Today is the only day I've had an enormous issue. My hair was silver when I walked in, I chatted with my stylist about getting gray, she asked for pictures so I found some for her. She said ok, we will get you as close as possible. Unfortunately my hair turned pastel blue. So she asked me if I could stay a bit longer to correct this. So I did, not that I had much choice, I can't walk into work with blue hair. Over the next few processes I ended up with brown hair. I go from gorgeous silver hair to plain Jane brown. Oh and the best part of this experience I had to still pay full price for a mistake I didn't make. And to top it off I can see green in my hair!!!! I've spent thousands of dollars there trying to get my hair the color it was when I woke up this morning. Now I have brown hair with green!!!!! Needlessly to say I hate my hair color, it makes me sick.

The Roosters Nest is a safe haven from the Cooperate Globo cut that further cheapens the strip mall landscape of Contemporary America. Skilled barbers who are proud of their work and service attend to clients in a hip masculine setting. The interior looks like your cool cow punk uncle became a picker and decked out a barber shop in the high form of Americana. I can not speak enough about the hair cuts I get from the Rooster’s Nest. I drive from another town, fight traffic, pay for parking and make it work because it’s worth it. The best hair cuts of my life have come from the Rooster’s Nest. Book an appointment, get your hair cut, and go out feeling confident, you deserve it.

Ive been frequenting The Roosters Nest for a little over 4 years. The service is top notch and professional. Brian has been my barber for most of my time going there. He's laid back, personable and one helluva guy and barber. They recently started a loyalty rewards program. I was able to get a bottle of their in house Bourbon beard oil for my points accumulated. ($20 value) I highly recommend calling, making a appointment, arrive early have a beer or soda, listen to some good tunes and shoot the breeze with the fellas!!

Oh my gosh, Birdie is a miracle worker. I wish I could describe how messed up my hair was and how beautifully blonde she was able to get it in one 3 hour setting. I have been in Lexington for a year now and have researched and gone to other stylists that were just not good. After recently moving to Lexington, I’ve been struggling to find the right barbershop. The only issue I had with the roosters nest initially was that they seem to be pretty booked up and it was a little hard to find a time slot that worked for me (I’m the guy from a small town where the barbershops take walk ins). But after finally making an appointment and getting a haircut and shave from Tyler, I understand why they’re so busy. Great atmosphere and super nice people. The attention to detail here is awesome.
