It's a good place to go to but I went there one day and my normal barber wasn't there so I had another guy named Earl cut my hair.I never felt more angry he gave me the worst haircut I had more hair on one side then the other my hairline was not straight my line on my sides weren't the same he didn't even take his time to brush off the hair of my face so I had to have my hairline pushed back because he couldn't get it straight the first time so I had the worst experience ever and that guy dosent deserve to work there in my opinion. If you plan to go there call them and make a schedule with Jermey he is the one person that can do my hair and you won't be disappointed.

Great place. I had to wait because I was a walk in but the cut was well worth it. I've been looking for over 2 years to find someone to give me this cut right. I'm sure any one of the guys in there could have done it. It's a long way from the Supercuts type places. It's a REAL barber shop. Conversation and atmosphere are on key with that. They don't make their appointments wait. I saw several great cuts go out the door. They all take their time and take some pride in what they're doing. Don't expect to show up without an appointment, get a generic haircut from a girl, and be on your way. I'll definitely make this my regular stop.

The edge barber shop Prairie View Road gave me my very first razor straight razor shave ever a young man by the name of Oscar did a wonderful job it also cut my hair a couple of days before and did a wonderful job I was so delighted I cooked them boys a bunch of barbecued ribs and took him up to him just to show him a white man can't jump but he can cook barbecue

Worst barber ever. I came in from out of town trying to get a haircut. I was a walk in which i get walk ins wait but I've been waiting 45 mins. Meanwhile they have barbers talking more than cutting they one eating a salad while he cuts. There is a reason why I've been waitimh so long. The babers here are not concerned of the people they have waiting. SERIOUSLY GO TO ANOTHER BABER!!!!! This is the most unprofessional business and barber ever. They need to go. All the barbers are on there cell phone. This place is a joke hahaha.

One employee didn't know if they could use credit or not. Their conversations weren't appropriate for my 6 and 7 year olds whose hair they were cutting. The laminate floor tiles were missing in several spots. The ceiling tiles were water stained and drooping.

The Edge is a true urban soul filled barber shop experience. Coming from NYC, finding a good barber and getting a good hair cut can be very challenging. But when you find a true skilled barber, getting a haircut can be very much like a weekly therapeutic event, not like the poor quality "super-cut" jobs (super-cuts are not barbers). The gentlemen at the Edge are the closest experience to being back home. They are professionally trained barbers that put into practice those very unique subtle learned skills that you will only find in a true barber shop. (Like using lather and tapering edges with a razor). I genuinely felt like they took pride in knowing what a true fade is and ensuring that I was happy with my cut. They take their time and allow you to give them input on YOUR haircut. If all you've ever had is the super-cut experience, the feel of a genuine urban style barber shop may be initially intimidating. There is a positive vibe at the Edge and also a great love for sports. My three experiences were very positive and I walked away feeling that each of my two barbers had provided me with their best effort in catering to my needs. (Whence me writing this review) For all my military pals - this is the place in NKC to get a short haircut, fade, high-n-tight or any type. *Recommendation: If you could post the hours of operation on you google plus page.

They were really nice people. But the lady with the red hair did not evenly edge my son's hair. Had to go home and fix it. And my taper fade was not well blended. I tipped both individuals to get home and find out I'm pulling out my trimmers

I've turned this into my go to location. The young woman Kamill is my barber and the other staff on hand are friendly and very good at their craft. I've also met cool patrons who frequent there as well. They're not loud and ghetto, don't have things playing on TV that's vulgar to kids and they have plenty of chairs on hand. I'd still suggest calling in and scheduling an appointment to be in and out if you're in a rush.

It use to be an ok place to get a haircut until the barbers got the big heads. To me it felt like they didn’t appreciate my business and I always tipped well, I stopped going over 3 years ago. I spoke to the owner about this once and he blew me off so that was my last visit.

I walked in at 7:45 pm. The front door says they are open til 9pm but the barbers that were working said they were closed and asked me to come back tomorrow. I most definitely wont be coming back tomorrow.

It's a black owned and operated barber shop, so don't expect it to be like "insert fancy place here". If you don't make an appointment, expect to wait an hour before you get seated. The cuts are legit and the atmosphere is super casual. Ask for Kevin, Clint, or Jeremy. They'll hook you up.

Had an appointment several times in the past and still took over an hour, barbers are unprofessional and take Their sweet time, the final straw was when I walked in and waited 20 minutes and the barber I was scheduled to see wasn't even there. Definitely not going again and my suggestion to anyone else would be to go somewhere else.
