Today I took my son to get a haircut there.. after reading raving reviews about this place .. I figured I was safe and it all would be ok..
I got to say, this is the first time reviews let me down. This is an old school barbershop and I gotta say; a lot of ppl did come in while we were there and it seems this gentleman is well liked and known. I have a teenager son, who is into a more modern haircut and we just moved from Miami where Customer Service is top notch ( at least where my son got his haircut for at least 5 years in a row - he's 14) . This gentleman was rough , enough to leave scratches from the shaving/cutting machine in my son's neck and head. When we got home, I found residues of blonde hair on my son's neck ( we are not blonde at all) which meant the machine wasn't cleaned after cutting the hair of 2 gentleman's before my son. On top of that, the haircut was NOTHING like what we asked for , and we showed him pictures. The look in my son's face was so excruciating that I felt baffled. When this gentleman was done, he asked my son if it was ok, my son just looked at me and said "let's just leave" I knew he was miserable. I most say I'm sure this gentleman most be an Amazing barber for older men. But if you are new to the area ( like we are ) and have a young kid ( teen specially ) DO NOT GO THERE .. I apologize .. but good reviews sometimes can't be trusted..& that's the reason why I'm leaving this one .. when I find THE right person for my son .. I will post about it .. Yamid ( MIAMI.) we miss you terribly .. is incredible what a simple haircut can do to someone.. Also, I don't know if we got this treatment because He didn't know us, because we are brunette (to say it gently) or just because he might have thought we weren't going to tip ( I tipped him really good) . Needless to say, we are not going back at all.
