I gave Irvin Jacks 3-Stars, because I do not think that it meets the standard that it advertises or the quality I would expect for its price point. The workers are courteous. I had a reasonably good haircut, certainly better then a "Value" cut or a standard chain; however I found the work done on my beard and facial hair inadequate. I do not think all of their stylists have enough experience in facial hair for them to be a true "barber shop", but if you are a gentleman looking for a good haircut and discreet eyebrow wax (which I also had done) it will suit your needs. I personally would recommend Plaza Barbers if you are looking for an exceptional beard trim. P.S.- They do have the BEST shoe shiner in Wichita, if you need or are interested in that.

If you consider yourself a man, then this is the place for you. They have a leather chair lounge that makes most man caves look like a daycare, and the services they offer are few and far between. Not to mention they have the best barbers Wichita has to offer, trust me I know, because I spent months trying to find a place where I can get a quality cut. I learned the hard lesson that if you spend $15 dollars on a haircut then you’re going to get a $15 looking haircut (not good). Shout out to Jill who is an artist and a genuine awesome person. I feel at home when I walk into this place and I feel like a new man when I leave. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You won’t be disappointed.

Awesome place to go if you are a dude. They have everything...Literally there is a menu of choices. You can join the club which comes with additional perks. The environment is amazing, you can watch whatever you want on their giant TV, get a damn good haircut, beard trim and manicure. It's more expensive than your typical haircut, but it's worth every penny.

Irvin Jacks was awesome. My hair stylist Jill was very nice and seemed really happy to be doing her job. I find a lot of barbers and hair stylists that mess something up during my hair cut but I told Jill what I wanted and she got it down to a T. Irvin Jacks is a great place to go to!

Its ok if you want a newly graduates hair cut. Im customed to haircuts in beverly hills california where every state certified hair stylist can do anything you ask for. Ervin jacks has a bar in there...i guess you have to ask for a drink. In cali..ya walk in..get greeted with a drink and the stylist takes over with any request or picture you have. The lady that answered the phone told me they would provide me with that..i went in with a picture of MYSELF from 3 weeks prior to that and was told to go sit and relax "we can easily do that". Well...thanx but ya cant... I went thr for an awesom experience and was out in 25 min with a basic haircut. Cost was 50 bux and could not meet my expectations. I lived on the coast of california and got amazing treatment for 35 bux for a pro barber that made me feel amazing and som free drinks. Now here in central kansas i am paying 49 dollars for a basic cut while starring at the bar in the bak waiting for a simple little free complimentary drink. Nope...bet a drink would charg an extra 10 or 20.

Not worth that much jack. Apparently the owner didn't like me posting my review while I am traveling. I happen to think paying more than twice what I normally pay for a haircut is unreasonable, given their hard sell tactics. Google maps knew I was at the facility over 3 years ago and asked me to post a review. I did. I travel a lot and post lots of reviews. I'm usually fairly generous with the number of stars I give. However if you don't treat me well, don't expect a good rating. I'm deducting one star from my two star review because the owner chastised me for posting a negative review, claiming I had never been there. Yet I have.

I agree with Casey. Unfortunately I didn't have a mediocre haircut experience to make up for the lackluster beard trimming I received. Service was not good. For instance, a portion of my beard on my cheeks was cut without asking me if I wanted it cut ... I didn't. Also, my jaw line was trimmed unevenly and rather than lean the chair back, the stylist asked me to just lean my head back. This was extremely uncomfortable so after a minute of trying to hold my head in the position, I asked the stylist if the chair could be leaned back. She struggled with the chair for a minute, but then it finally slammed backward. Same routine going back up: whiplash. The experience was highlighted by a charge of $26. Not at all what I had in mind after a 10 minute job ... and after waiting 15 minutes past my appointment time (which I scheduled 4 days in advance). I give the experience 2 stars only because the stylist didn't draw blood. Go elsewhere if your primary concern is having your beard trimmed by a professional.

My husband used to go here and always had a great story to tell me when he came home from getting his hair done. One day I went with him when we were running errands and the guy doing his hair waved excitedly at me and made jokes with us. It's a great place that really knows how to do men's hair well. We've since moved and really miss this place.

Great experience. I had been just getting fades for 10 years or so, and decided to grow my hair out as well as my beard, and was well in need of a trim for both. I made an appointment at Irvin Jack's based on reviews I had read, plus it's within walking distance of my apartment. I only had a vague idea of the look I was going for, and Nathan did an exceptional job of helping me figure out the right cut and style, and was very thorough. Will definitely be back.

I have been a patron of Irvin Jacks since they first opened, and as long as I live in Wichita I will use them for all my grooming needs. Ashley and Michelene are amazing at what they do, always taking the time to make sure I look great. My 3 year old son has been seeing them for the last year and they always treat him like a king. In fact, going to get a haircut is one of his favorite things to do! I cannot say enough about Irvin Jacks and how great they are.

Reading through the service they provide, I notice they describe everything they do as if they charge for it, like ....personal consult. Which as any barber or hairstylist should be doing that either way to get somewhere with the clients as of what they would want. Then it says....expert haircut, as if, if you want a good haircut you specifically have to ask(hi, excuse me, do you have an expert on the clock?). Hmmm well if you have a professional barbering business and a license, you should already be an expert.... So it didn't get my attention to even walk in there, I'll figure I'll go find an actual man barbershop.

Barbers cut more than hair, manager doesn't make it right. Went in at the beginning of June because I was a groomsman for a very close friends wedding. 2 of us got our haircut, but my haircut A. Took for ever and B. The barber cut my neck with his clippers. He apologized, but it was still an awkward moment as a professional drives his tools into my skin. After leaving and getting a picture of it I started to become annoyed that I paid for a $40 haircut and this is what happened. Also the next day at the wedding, I was bleeding on my shirt from the cuts. SO I call Irvin Jacks and speak with the manager about a refund and she tells me it won't be a problem she just has to get ahold of her accountant. She never called back.....I have called since, and left my number to be called back at.....nothing. Horrible business practice all around, not worth the price!
