Holy cow. I didn't think I cared about my kids haircuts, but WOW. After my sons were finished I will never go anywhere else again. They were very thorough even though I had specifically said that I didn't really care how they cut it. And, here's the real kicker, my son commented that he wasn't all itchy like he is after we go to one of the chain hair cut joints ( which charge the same or more). I could not say enough good things about this place. I will really never take my sons anywhere else!

Average haircut for a low price. Don’t automatically offer a neck shave with a straight blade which should be expected from a barber if you get your hair squared up in the back. Probably won’t go back.

Recently visited was Practically told didn’t knew how to cut your hair because I don’t deal with black people hair. Unprofessional on different levels. What’s the point of having license to cut hair if not experience with simply giving military cut. Very disappointed with service will never waste a drive here again

Went today the first impression was really good. Great environment. Really q classic barbershop. When the barber came to gave me the haircut he asked and I told him about the fade and all he was like all of them have fade I'm like okay cool. But after he finished it wasn't as I expected, I even had to tell to get the sideburns to get check beacuse he didn't properly cut them. I think he was in a hurry I feel he just did it for doing it. I might give Amyx a second chance given this was my first time there but probably go to another barbershops before going back to there.

Perfect classic style barbershop in the heart of Lawrence. Been going here since I moved to Lawrence from Los Angeles and won't' go anywhere else. Malcolm does a great job and prices are almost unbeatable. Be sure to call ahead as they can get pretty booked up.

I had been coming to Amyx for about a year during my freshman year of college and during my sophomore year my barber, Dan Fitzpatrick had moved to a new business next door, Amyx North. He is the absolute man at cutting hair and his attention to detail is impeccable. So, I followed him over there and he's been cutting my hair for almost three years. Their business is reasonably priced (I believe haircuts increased from $8 to $12) but that didn't deter me because I understand the price some people pay for excellence and these guys are worth it. I'm going to get a straight razor shave (I've heard they're legendary) before I graduate and I still expect nothing but the best from these guys.

Since the army, I've always been picky about who cuts my hair. Malcom always does an excellent job and I'm never disappointed with the cut after I leave. Excellent staff with a traditional barber shop feel. I'd give it more than five stars if I could.

I’m new to Lawrence and was looking for the right barber. I’m very picky and sensitive about my hair so I searched a lot, read reviews, etc. I ended up scheduling an appointment with Malcom here and it turned out to be a great decision! He’s nice and friendly. I’m very satisfied with my haircut. He asked twice at the end if I’m all satisfied with my hair. I’ll come back to him from now on. The only thing lacking in my opinion was that they could wash my hair with shampoo before finishing and everything. Also I recommend they set up an online appointment system. It’s easy nowadays. Overall, I’m happy with my experience here and they got a new loyal customer!

It was so delicious. Service was very good and fast. I was very impressed with the Tortellini baked alfredo pasta. I loved it and most definitely will go again. My only suggestion would be maybe a few more choices on the salad bar or maybe certain nights of the week different salads ingredients. Possibly even Gluten free items. Thanks to all tube wonderful staff my kids were in love with all their choices as well.

My boyfriends normal barber was completely booked the day he needed his haircut so we called the next best place with awesome reviews and lead us here! They were able to get us in on a Saturday, on short notice. They are in a oldtimey shop off Mass. I don't remember the name of the barber we saw he has blonde hair and wears it slicked back, he is very quiet. But the hair cut was nice and he was very quick and precise! We will definitely be going back to them!
