Excellent business, they say walk ins welcome, but I wouldn't go in there without an appointment. I went in for my first time today and waited a couple hours, which I honestly did not mind, but others might. The haircut itself was very quick and well done. I will definitely be going again.

You can probably get a good cut here, but it wasn't in the cards for me today. Got my hair all messed up, way too much shaved off the top in what was supposed to be just a trim before a wedding. I am an inch away from a bad mohawk. I usually cut my own hair but thought Id get it professionally done but it just isn't worth the roll of the dice. Sorry guys.

Quoted a one-hour wait time and waited for nearly two hours and just left. Came back a few days later with an appointment, waited 30 minutes only to find out my barber had left for the day... either forgotten about me or didn’t look at schedule. Other barbers were taking walk-ins and no-one offered to cut my hair. Ridiculous. Not going to give this place a third chance.

Have had my hair cut all sorts of places and out of all the barber shops I've been to (Dallas, SF, DC, NYC, Seattle) I'm happy to say the best place I've been to is at home in Cedar Rapids. Don't forget to make an appointment and grab a free beer. Walk ins expect to wait an hour or more. Prices are more than fair. Tip your damn barber. This place will hook you up!!!

Asked for dead ends to be trimmed and to keep as much length as possible in my hair and beard. The barber cut down to a pencil moustache and tight crewcut. Perhaps this is their formulae, because I didn't see anyone leaving the barbershop with hair longer than that. Come here if you want really short hair, but not if you expect a barber to follow instructions. Barber: Dee

I have had a head shave and beard shaping from 4 different barbers here now and each one has done a great job. They always have a cold beer ready and a lot of BS flying around. You might have to wait a while if you don't make an appointment though. Over all a great place.

Careful trying to walk in on a Saturday - crazy busy - you can walk in and put your name on the list but after two hours I was still waiting and had to get back to family - call and get an appointment. Place was very nice but can't judge how they do because I never got my hair cut :(

Waited 45 minutes to figure out it's cash only. No signs inside indicated that it was cash only. They have an ATM inside if you have a debit card on you, but that isn't always an option. Seemed nice inside, but that doesn't make it any less of a waste of my Saturday afternoon.

I'm from out of town and needed a cut. Couldn't have picked a better place. They had no less than 8-10 barbers all working with a line of people waiting...good sign. After a short wait (tvs with ESPN on passed the time) it was my turn. The barber was pleasant and efficient. Great haircut and very reasonably priced. Was a great spot, Cedar Rapids has a true gem in The MEN's ROOM!

My barber would not shut up about religion and Islam. Even when I asked him to stop talking a out religion, kept talking about religion. Cut my hair way too short, gave me a fade even though I didn't ask for a fade. Trimmed the beard too short even though I specifically said 1". Terrible place for a haircut. Great place for a lecture on why Mohammad is the one true God.

Honest Review: I've been shaving my own head since I was 18, so this was my first time in a barbershop in 20 years. Dee was fantastic! A hell of a nice guy and a gentleman. He trimmed my beard and shaved my head. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because I feel that he could have talked to me more and other people in the room a little less in order to make sure we were on the same page with what I wanted. Don't get me wrong - he made me look great! Very much appreciated. Thanks again.

They did an excellent job and did so in adequate time frame. Only thing I can complain about was an easy fix. I asked for sides shaved, usually people understand that I meant all the sides straight razored, the barber took it as sideburns need to be skin and the rest no guard. A simple fix was just saying I meant to shave all the sides with a straight razor. Great cut either way.

Cleanest cuts in eastern Iowa. Just make sure to schedule an appointment online walk in takes hours. This place is tier one and they make you feel damn fresh. I haven't had a bad experience yet. They don't mess around and they are always full. That alone tells you they know what they are doing.

So I'll start off with the bad and leave this on a high note. The neighborhood this place is in is kinda sketchy for my taste, Parking could be a problem if they are busy. I had concerns for the safety of my vehicle. Lastly, they are CASH ONLY!!! Boo to this, in this day in age. But for anyone looking to get the full treatment for "Men Specific" grooming, this is the place to go. $20 for a haircut, strait-razor shave, nose hair trim. total line up. Not bad AT ALL for the price. I enjoy the "theme" of the mens room and got a kick our of their creativity with the vanity stands being tool chests, nice touch. My Barber was personable, respectful, listened to what I asked for. I'm a pretty loyal customer if I find exactly what I'm looking for and I believe I found it in this place at this time.

First and probably last time there. Dude screwed up my head. Lined up way too far up my ears to skin, then side burns aren't the same. AND NEVER TOUCH A MANS MUSTACHE UNLESS HE TELLS YOU TO!! He trimmed it way short and shaved the line of it way down, and it wasn't even! I never asked you to trim it! I was obviously growing it out! AT LEAST ASK NEXT TIME! I had to shave the entire mustache off when I got home! Youre supposed to look good leaving a "real barber's chair" not having to shave off a mess up!! I was so pissed! Nearly snapped on him! Guess I'm still trying to find a good barber elsewhere here in CR! Good thing I can wear a hat at work.

This was my very first visit to an actual men's barbershop. For years I've only gone to places like Cost Cutters and I've had varying levels of satisfaction. I've honestly been somewhat intimidated by the idea of going to a true barbershop, but I finally bit the bullet and went. I don't know why I've waited so long. This place was really great. One of the best and most attentive haircuts I've ever received. The wait was quite long since I was just a walk in, but I will be calling ahead to make an appointment from now on. The price is great too. Full cut and beard trim for $20. I was really expecting it to cost more.

Only went there once, had a cut from Jose. I showed him a photo of what I wanted my hair to look like, it was a very simple request / style. Then he said he would "trim up my beard a little bit" which I regretfully agreed to. Jose proceeded to trim about three inches off of my beard, and give me an awful haircut that was nothing like what I had asked for. He spent more time trimming my eyebrows, mustache and beard than he did my hair. During most of the cut he was standing between my chair and the mirror so I couldn't tell what it looked like until he was done. When he was done I had a look at it and I was pretty appalled about losing 3 inches off of my beard and I said "Well that's definitely not what I had in mind." and Jose replied "well I'm sorry bro, I guess I just wanted to make it look my idea of good and not yours." They only take cash so after I spent 15 minutes trying to get their ATM to work I had to run across the street to Kum & Go to get cash out (and pay an extra $3) to pay for the cut. So by the time I handed Jose the cash I had been there for an hour and a half. Overall I like the idea of the Men's Room, and I hope it does well. The other barbers could have handled my cut much better for all I know. I just hope they don't continue ruining guys beards like Jose did mine and I hope this serves as a warning to other potential walk-in clients.

I am very picky when it comes to barbers, so when I was visiting from out of town for a wedding, this spot was recommended to me. The building is really low key with no parking, so you'll have to find a spot, but it's worth it. Really cool industrial vibe inside and a bunch of barbers that really know what they're doing. Everyone there was super friendly and it feels the way a barber shop should. My barber took his time and listened to what I asked for. He did a great job with a razor fade and a beard trim with a line up. Looking around, I'm confident that any barber in that shop is a safe bet. Every client walked out looking great. I highly recommend this spot. If I lived in CR, it would be my go-to barbershop.

The only barbershop that can do shaving in town. The worst part was just showing up without an appointment. I don't usually go to this place but the last time i decided to call for an appointment they told me I can just show up before the closing time without an appointment because they don't accept appointment today. It's a damn to be there waiting while more people showing up for their appointment. I waited from 2:30pm then have mine at 5:20pm.

Made an appointment, but when I showed up, Manny was cutting another customer's hair, then when finished, he ignored me and started on another. I won't be back and that's too bad because he does a good job. I cannot recommend this place unless you have a high tolerance for rudeness.
