Above and beyond is an UNDERSTATEMENT! Steve is a PRO... and it shows. I walked in to this barbershop with high expectations after seeing the other three 5 star reviews. This man did not disappoint. Believe everything you have read... He delivered on all counts. While I was in the chair I learned one of the other people there getting their hair cut had driven all the way down from Show Low so Steve could do it. Given the quality of his work and the level of service he provides, I wouldn't be surprised to learn he has more customers that travel that far or further just to have him do their hair. Suffice to say, I have found my new barber.

I wish I had gotten her name. I will definitely comming back regularly and I am extremely happy with my haircut. The haircut was very cheap, 10$, I gave her a 10$ tip however if I had had more money I would’ve given it to her. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with the quality of my cut. Steve is a (I believe) a 6th generation barber who specializes and prefers to use scissors for most of his cuts. This is something I had never experienced before. I prefer my hair a bit longer on the sides so the scissors produce a much softer/ blended look then clippers. The beard trims I have gotten from him come out extremely well also. Steve is the first barber that I have trusted to the point that I just close my eyes and talk with him. On top of everything, like his decades of experience, he is also one of the fairest prices I have come across. I was looking for a new barber, and have tried about 4 others, but after my 2nd visit here, I think i'l be using Steve for as long as I am able.

If you want a great haircut by a knowlegable experienced barber then come to Steve's . My whole family gets their hair cut there. A lot of times we all go at the same time ! The barbers are all friendly and are great at what they do. And the shop looks like a barber shop . They have vacuums on their clippers so you don't leave a hairy mess. And they shave you up if you're looking like a caveman, if you want it!Plus a shoulder and neck massager at the end. This was my first time at a barber in about a year and I was surprised by the professionalism here. I was greeted at the door and Steve introduced himself. He only asked a few questions about what I was looking for and recommended a few options. He definitely made sure to surpass any of my expectations by the time he was done. I have never received such a meticulous cut in such a short amount of time. He has obviously perfected his craft and has the interpersonal skills to match. I would highly recommend him to anyone and plan on returning every two weeks for years to come. If it isn't obvious, I'm an extremely happy customer.

I've been going to Steve for years, I moved to the westside years ago and probably tried about 5 different barbers each one butchered my hair so bad I ended up shaving it bald and used YouTube to try and fade my own hair. I figured if I had to walk around with a jacked up haircut atleast i didn't waste my time waiting and money paying for it. Once i moved back to this side i wasted no time getting back into his chair. Steve is a Awesome guy and even better barber also strangely enough his prices never went up in the mean time. I was use to paying min 18 for a tearful haircut without a tip. Bottom line if you want awesome customer service and a nice clean cut go see him.

I went to Steves barber shop on cave creek yesterday on a recommendation from a long time friend who has been going to Steves for over 20 years. While waiting I over heard where he comes from, and we had a lot in common. Listening to the customers in the shop it was clear that everyone has been a long time customer. While waiting and watching he either can chat with the client if they choose or just cut if they prefer and he has a feel for either direction. At the conclusion of my cut he broke out the shoulder messager, this brought me back to the shops back east, where there were long time clients and a sense of community. Clearly Steve's shop is a place where you could stop by on a Saturday and chop it up even if you didn't need a cut. Now there are 2 Steve's barbershop's in north Phoenix and I have been to both and this one is second to none. I highly recommend this Steve's shop. And oh by the way the prices are right on target.

Got a hair cut and beard "trim" here after my old barber retired. The hair cut was okay for $12, not the best and not the worst (3 star cut). This big issue was when I asked for a beard trim and to keep the taper of my beard. By the time he was done he had removed 2 to 3 months worth of growth (not a trim at all) and completely rounded my beard. Hands down the worst beard trim I have ever had, my wife almost cried at what he did to my beard. Also he does not clean you up after words so you leave there just covered in hair.

Good place to get a cut if your an older gentleman with no particular sense or care for detail. If you are someone who cares about absolute detail I recommend going to a shop with people who are in the know about hairstyles. But was nice but won't be returning for a cut. Haircut was too basic and Grandpa looking. Going somewhere else tomorrow to get fixed
