Classic in many ways!! Customer service is excellent! Barbers are attentive and respectful. True gentlemen and gentlewoman! Net clean shop plus you can get your shoes shined.

Justin Birt

If you have to sell one of your children, it's worth it to sit in a chair at Red's. But you won't have to; their prices are super-reasonable. Best barber shop I've ever visited.

Adam VanOsdol

Mark Schweitzer

Good old fashioned barber shop. William is the man.

John Hiester

I have been growing my beard for 6 months and have had it cleaned up a couple of times and it looks great each time afterwards. Today I went into Red's for a scheduled appointment for a beard trim and tidy. I asked for just a blending on the sides and a bit of shaping up. I mentioned I did not want it to loose any length. The barber was nice enough and did an admirable job on the beard, but he hacked away at my Stache that I've had since college! I thought he might be just tidying it up, but now it looks like those creepers that carve details in their beard and stache. They offered to fix it, but they can't replace it after it is cut off! They said they will refund my money, but I am left with weeks of looking like a creeper while it grows back. I'm never going there again, until it grows back, I get a new and tidy up as requested, and can them show them how to listen to their customers.

Well they advertise that they take walk ins. Not So much. 4 empty chairs. 3 barbers standing around and no one in the waiting area. I’m nearly bald. My haircut and neck shave take at best 8 minutes. They couldn’t fit me in for an hour???? Walked into Jacks 3 blocks away. Sat down. Walked out 8 min later done. Thanks Jacks. I’m sure Reds will reply that I’m somehow wrong and it’s my fault etc.

David Murphy

Very nice and professional extinguishment

Clean facilities, friendly staff, offers straight shave.

I have been to reds a total of 4 times. The first 3 times, I went for their top service the quartet. I asked for the haircut, shave, and shampoo. The first 2 visits went well. The third visit I went in I got a hair cut, and a shave but was charged for the quartet. The barber, “Jennifer” mentioned being on the keto diet, and seemed to be struggling. I tipped the barber hoping to make her day brighter, and later just told myself no more quartets. Next time, I will just get a “haircut.” Weeks had passed by as I was growing out my bangs for a haircut with no hard lines. I specifically told the barber, “Al” multiples times what I was doing, and what I wanted. It seemed that the barber was not giving me his full attention. The barber put hard lines in my hair. I kept cool being optimistic thinking well surely it is a nice line up. The barber gives me this scratched up mirror to where I can barely see myself to “check it out.” I am like perfect, and I leave. I do not want to me negative I try to stay positive. When I got to my car, and looked at myself in the rear view, I lost it. It is going to take me 2 more months to grow my hair line back out. So frustrating after giving reds $130 for services, and tips on 2 visits that where disappointing. I did call, and spoke to the receptionist because no manager or owner was at the barbershop. I asked that the owner or manager contact me which no one ever did. This is what I got after telling the barber multiplies do not get into my hair line. The barber “Al” took my bangs off with liners, and gave me side lines that are not symmetric.

Michael is hands down the best here, although all these guys are top notch. Amazing staff, cuts that make even an ugly mug look good. You're gonna pay at least $25 for a cut, but don't forget to tip!

Tereance Puryear

Great barbers.

Michael Bonsai

Overpriced !

Dan Gallagher

Michael did a great job. Takes appointments and was prompt. Online scheduling now available. Very thorough and great conversation. Looking forward to my next visit.

For a wonderful haircut and a 5-star experience go to Red’s Classic and ask for Anita Lyons.

Michael Mcvey

1st and most of all l get a top flight haircut the atmosphere is for all there u can get a shoe shine hair and facial products nice straw hats and everybody cares

Anthony Lynch

Lotta lazy brovas here. Advert says open until 6:00 on Sat. Called around 5:20 but bro said he was closing in 10 min. I said I was 5 minutes away. Then he said he's "booked up". Which is it? Why advertise open till 6 if you're closing at 5:30?

Isidro Tecuanhuehue

Old school.

Michael Downey

From 5 to 2 stars. Always liked getting a hair cut here with William. But as others have said, management and the skills of the staff have taken a huge dive over the past year or so. They also stopped taking appointments online, which was the deal breaker for me.

Silas Fritz

Got the best cut by Matthew Secuskie.

Aaron Darcy

They sell Merkur safety razors, blades, brushes and pretty much every other shaving accessory. That’s what brought me here and I was not disappointed. I didn’t get a haircut or shave but based on the décor and friendly staff, I got a sense that either would be enjoyable.

Jake Fisher

Red's was a very professional establishment. You get what you pay for, and this place is great. All the barbers are dressed nicely in shirts and ties. The staff is very friendly. The haircuts are professional quality. The facility is clean and it has a classic barbershop feel to it. There are a variety of services they offer from shoe shining to beard trimming. They sell plenty of products for haircare and facial hair maintenance. Definitely worth the trip. Lastly, you don't need cash like most barbershops! The receipt is sent directly to your email address.

Andrew Heilman

Go here if you want staff Infection from old razors. Thought it was just the barber but it happened twice with two different people. The place used to be great.

Jonathan Mertz

Nice haircut, but like most barber shops it is rather filthy inside.

Kyle S

Overpriced. Ruined 3 months of beard growth that I explicitly told not to touch. Serious incompetence on the part of the barber.

Glen Klink

All sizzle, no steak. I've been here twice. Once for a straight-shave, second time for a hair cut. Both experiences lacked quality and I was disappointed with the result. The shop has many interesting and unique items and a really cool "feel" -- but talent of the Barbers is lacking.

Henok Alem

Paul Bolen

Great customer service! Best place in Indy to get a hair cut!

Luke Stark

A nice barbered hair cut with straight razor shave of your neck. I've never had a bad experience and I keep coming back.

Mason Brown

The girl cutting my hair was extremely inexperienced. It almost seemed as if it were one of her first times cutting someone's hair. I contemplated walking out as soon as she spent 5-10 minutes talking to herself about how she would achieve my desired haircut. After an extremely slow job, she was still unable to please me. I went and got my hair fixed the next day by a much better barber. Sadly, I will not be getting my haircut here again. Waste of $23...

Shane Parker

My haircut was not finished. I had to use my own clippers to finish it. I will never waste my money again here.

Jack Stewart

Best barber shop in the city

E Edy

This is a very professional, welcoming establishment. Justin cut my hair and did an excellent job! I highly recommend.

Bob Geis

This is a great place. William is a great guy and a great barber. It is very professionally operated and easy to make appointments.

R Duncan

When I go to Indiana I always get my hair cut there. Introduced my son to Red's. He loves it too.

Bassim Audi

I booked Red's for myself and my groomsmen the morning of my wedding and they provided a VERY cool experience for all of us. We were able to bring in food and beverages and hang out will also getting a GREAT shave and cut. i would HIGHLY recommend this place for a regular cut or an awesome experience with your crew.

Skyler Leffingwell

Upon arrival - super pumped to try this place I’ve heard such great things about. Awesome vibe, great greeting, was able to come a little early and get in. I showed Tyler the desired haircut. Pretty simple, straight across textured bangs, bald fade sides and back. He did not talk or try to make conversation the entire time, made one joke, and continued to cut my hair. At the end, he (with my hair still wet and not styled at all) told me that I was good to go. I had to ask him for a towel to dry my hair to see the finished result. He grabbed it for me. I told him that the bangs needed to be straightened out, as they were OBVIOUSLY crooked. He cut some off. Had to ask him AGAIN, and he rudely told me to move my arm. A total of 3 times I had to ask him to fix it. I ended up telling him I’d have to fix it myself and he accepted that. It was still obviously crooked, the cashier agreed. She told me I could wait for another barber to fix it, but would need to wait for their current cuts to finish up. She did not charge me, and apologized for my inconvenience. I literally ran back to the store, bought hair product. Went back to work FUMING, and ended up cutting my own hair.

John Mitchell

Just went for the first time today. I got my head straight razor shaved, beard trimmed, and neck straight razor shaved, and my boots polished. A one stop shop for grooming. Loved the ambiance, friendly staff, and the whole feel. I will, without a doubt, make this a common occurrence for myself.

IUHOOSIERIU

I have been going to different barbers around the state for years and I have to say, Red’s is the best. Wonderful atmosphere, luxury with that old-time barbershop feel, and all of the barbers are extremely talented and super friendly. Mr. William Hogg is the best. Always gives me incredible fades, takes his time, and is the nicest guy. Always impressed by his work and our conversation. Love this place!

Todd Durham

Best place in Indy to get a fresh cut.

Juan Herrera

Barbers here are very familiar with current hair trends. They offer variety of services; cutting hair, straight blade razor shaves, beard trims or whatever style you need. The barbers are very talented and very friendly.Kudos!!!!

Brian Staresnick

Nostalgic, old-timey barbershop. The staff and quality of service is good. Highly recommend this place.

Jeffrey Wacaser

Got a great haircut here!

Sam Ansaldi

Good haircut, but the straight razor facial shave left me with quite a few cuts. Management was however very nice and accomidating when it came to ensuring a good experience.

Abby Campbell

The staff amazing I had my kids there and they were kinda crazy and they were so sweet and accommodating, however, the barber experience was a different story . I brought my husband here as a special treat and told the stylist to fade his hair from a zero, leave top long and a hard part. He left with no hard part and his hair is tapered like Gumby. Not only that but I paid for the barber shop trio and he told me she did not shampoo him even though that's what I paid for. She did a shave but that was crooked as well. Just super upset that his experience was not what I paid for. Hopefully this was just a bad day for her, but we won't be back sad to say.

Thomas Mann

I've been going to Red's for five years now. William and Mike are the guys who have taken care of me most over the years. The haircuts are top notch and the atmosphere feeds my nostalgia for an era I'm too young to remember. If you're looking for a salon, if you're looking for just a run of the mill trim with no conversation, if you're looking for mediocrity - this isn't the place. Red's has been a part of my Saturday morning routine over the years because it is an experience you will come to crave. Let the music be a retreat from noise of a busy day. The conversation beats any of the talking heads you can't get away from on the news. The camaraderie of the barbers and staff draws you in. If you let them, they'll make you family. All that, plus you walk out of there with a hair cut worth three times the price.

Allen Tucker

This is my go to barbershop. Classic old school barbershop vibe with great personalities and jazz music.

Cameron Copas

I set an appointment and was taken back 25 minutes after the originally specified time. The barber shaved some of my hair down to the skin. He left the hair above my ears untouched and longer than the rest of my head. The fade on top was terrible and looked like something I did myself with a handheld mirror.

Keith Harkness

Classic!

Alex

Was good at the beginning but I'm afraid this place is losing its excellence.

Anthony Bridgewater

The do a good job with there work. They really take the time to make your hair look great. And they are very nice too

John Porter

William is a good barber! I like going because of friendly staff.

Michael Mehrmann

Michael A cut my hair today. I was discussed by the smell of his fingers. I assume he was just on a break and smoked a cigarette before he cut my hair. I wanted to say something but didn’t. Payed my fee but won’t go back to see him.

glennrightsell1

Excellent service and great class barbers. I made appointment online got in same day by noon.Haircut was good then scalp massage was even better.Had my boots shined even got a pocket comb. This is definitely my choice of best service and plan to always get my haircut here from now on

Shaun Hammer

Always a great haircut. Never had a bad haircut.

Jared Bond

I've gotten my haircut at Red's for several years and they never disappoint. William is my regular barber but I've also had Tyler, Elliott, and Al all cut my hair. Each of them has done a great job. I enjoy the conversations and the comradery between the patrons and the barbers. The shop can get busy at times so make sure to call ahead. Also, they do a great shoe shine.

Jameson Terzini

Matthew does a fantastic job cutting my hair. All the lovely help at the front desk makes it so simple and easy to not only make appointments but get in and get out quickly. Also, cannot forget my guy William, another great barber. Highly recommend Red's.

Gary Mcnally

Returning to only the best for men's haircut! Am up at the pyramids..there is nothing here. Appointment tomorrow! Thanks.

Ashton Eller

Elliott is the best!

Christopher Grunden

Good atmosphere, never had a bad haircut.

Drew Avery

Michael hooked it up! I got taken care of like I had been there a million times before, even though it was first time there! Looking forward to my next visit.

Brad Young

Really big fan of Red's. The first 3 months I went here, I tried different barbers and finally went with Matthew. He was tentative to my needs, talkative and always asked how my day is going and what upcoming plans I had. I used to go to Jacks Barber Shop in the Market, but always had a problem finding parking and getting on Brenda's schedule. Red's has a very classic atmosphere and even offer additional products in the store front for your beard or hair needs.

James Roberts

I called up and talk to the receptionist told her I wanted to get a beard TRIM I capitalized trim for a reason. I've gotten a trim before and my beard got jacked up. So I told them I was nervous and worries. Ton, tony or whatever his name was assured me I was in good hands. I should walked when he took my stach and put it up over my nose. But I was in the chair and we started. Second sign of something going wrong is he used clippers ONLY and know some use clippers in the begging for the basic shape. But not the whole time. He kept TRIMMING it seemed liked he wasn't taking much off. This was not the case. I walked in for over a 2 year old beard and left with maybe 8 or 9 month. Also my stach was jacked again. One side was twice as long as the other. In this one sitting, I lost years worth of growth (not asked for or requested) half a year of growth on my stach. Also my beard was thinned out and shape wasn't natural. I do not recommend any man growing his beard out going here for any type of trim. If you want to lose a lot of growth and have a guy snip here and there with no real reason, then this is the place. If I could rate this lower then 1 star I would in a heart beat!

Samuel Cruse

Amazing staff and service

Jon Pope

Best in Indy, they also did a great job shinning my shoes.

Paul Kam

Good experience I love the haircut

Neal Guidarelli

I just moved to Indy and I've been searching for a place to take care of my hair I can trust. I finally found that place. Matthew Secuskie did a hell of a job. He made me a regular now.

Robert Raschke

Customer service is not their strength.

Shawn White

Overall good cut.

Scott Loewenstein

Great place

Corey Smiley

I've been going here for the last 3 1/2 years. Great place.

Nick

Cool atmosphere and a good haircut.

Jeremy Tuterow

This place is amazing!! Music could use a little updating... But that is trivial compared to the incredible staff and service. Bobby upfront always has a smile on his face and really knows the Depot products (sold me 2) I have never been brand loyal to a barber before but Tyler gave me the best hair cut I have ever had. Client for life now! Thank you Tyler!!!!

Mac McCarthy

Had an older gentleman as my barber here, was a fantastic experience, would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic barbershop with skilled people.

Sam Trap

Old fashion barber shop with hair cuts, shaves and shoe polisher. The staff is educated and takes their time to give you a really nice shave and cut. It isnt the cheapest place in the world but to me a good hair cut is worth way more than they charge. I really like the place and won't get a haircut anywhere else.

Antonio Scotto D'apollonio

Great hair cut. Great service. Cozy spot. Love the decor and the barber is awesome. Would recommend to anyone!

Lorenc Qorlaze

First of all I'd like to say that I have been a regular customer at Red's for almost three years now. I used to love it in the beginning, the atmosphere was nice and the service was top notch. However, I'm sad to say that all that has changed. For the past year or so they have been changing the barbers like crazy and maybe only a couple of the original barbers are still working at the shop. The new guys look like they are apprentices and have no idea what they are doing, I have been there multiple times and described them the same haircut, and I haven't gotten the same cut twice! I looks like Red's is using its reputation as a cash cow by hiring inexperienced barbers and still charging you $23 for a haircut. I'm sorry but I'm not going to pay somebody almost $30 along with tip for them to practice cutting hair on me! I'm very sad that this has happened, because I truly enjoyed the experience and did not mind paying the premium for the hair cut. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else! Note: Most of the reviews here say is great, and would agree with them at the time, but most of them are over two years old.

Geoff Sadjadi

Haircuts are always good here. Staff and barbers are always friendly.

Chris Knaffle

Wonderful! Great classic barber shop. Extremely polite and classy employees dressed professionally.

Luke R

The cut was great!

Emily Brauchle

Fiance came here before our engagement photos and looked great afterwards. Will definitely be returning before our wedding.

Tyler Sacre

I love Red's Barber shop. I have been to this place multiple times and only one time did I not get the haircut I was wanting (because I booked someone I usually don't due to timing). The staff is always super friendly and welcoming and over the years, they always have employed a diverse workforce, which I also support! Not only this, but the straight-razor shaves are amazing!

Michael Burk

$22 for a straight razor haircut by any one of several well trained barbers. Other services are extra. They take good care of you, especially if you know what you want. The decor is very 1950's manly barbershop vibe with a bit of modern hipster tossed in. Call for an appointment to guarantee you can walk in to a chair, but same day, usually within the hour seems to be the rule in my experience. Like most old-school style barbershops make sure to tell them if you don't want the cologne, otherwise you'll smell like your great-grandpa for the rest of the day.

William Hanes

This was a great experience very professional and friendly staff

Edward Whalen

Excellent place for a shave and a haircut. They also have a selection of old-timey grooming products as well. Good staff. Every I've stopped in has been a good experience.

Eric Rosenstock

Don’t advertise / offer beard trims as a service if your staff doesn’t know how to trim beards. I came in to get a bit of a shape up on my beard and lined up well, and instead I got hacked up with a guard on a trimmer. It was so misshapen and uneven I had to head back to my hotel and cut it even shorter to fix it myself. A beard trim involves hot towels, combing out the beard, and trimming it down evenly. She literally treated my beard like an army buzz cut shave. Unbelievable. if you have more than three weeks of beard growth, definitely go somewhere else that knows what they are doing with longer beards.

Derek Calhoun

Friendly atmosphere, professionally dressed staff. Made appt. at noon, was in by 3, and was done by 3:30. Plan to go back for my next cut!

A King

Came in with a professional, classic style and walked out with a typical, hard part-type style. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. Had to let it grow out. - Picky Client

Jesse Ghiorzi

Easy to get an appointment. Old school inside.

Tony Hughes

Great Cut always

Sam Proffer

I'll never go anywhere else and I'll never have my hair cut by anyone else. My barber was (is) Matt. He's friendly, professional, and extremely skilled. Call ahead and schedule an appointment. You'll love it!

grant williams

Best berbershop in the city. Micheal Anderson does a fantastic job, after I left my old barber who was at Riley towers, I had Micheal and he is the best barber in the city. You get a better quality haircut than what you pay for.

Ian Smith

Great place to get a clean cut. Staff is great!

Andrew Wells

I have been going here since 2006, William has cut my hair since 2007, he is by far the best barber in the joint. Professional and can do it all. I have had straight razor shaves and hundreds of hair cuts. Always, perfect and efficient. This year I started taking my son (18 months old). He HATES getting his hair cut. Cries and throws a fit, but sits reasonably still. William has managed to give him a GREAT hair cut every time. Even did a Mohawk today!! I don't know how he does it. If you go there and manage to get an appointment with William you will never go anywhere else again!!!!!

Trevor Black

Classic look through and through as most barber shops try to attain nowadays. I am in the military, which requires hair to be in regulation (tapered apearance etc). The fade I received from this establishment was a little messy, barely blended, and timely. Barbers aren't cheap and will probably need to go get this fixed right away. Now before you stay away based on my review, remember it is just the one barber out of many that cut my hair. So give em a try, Red's is not for me. Little pricey for me to get another haircut elsewhere sadly.

Verlosser

Good experience. My son had an 8:30am appointment . Michael the barber did a good job and was polite.

Brian Neal

Best Barbers in Town!

Carolina Carnicelli-Eppards

Beautiful, and all the staff are nice and make you feel so welcome! I bought a hat for my husband, great quality and nice price!

Andrew Long

Very professional. All I had done was a beard trim and the barber took his time and make sure he had done what I asked for. Got my suede shoes cleaned up while I had my beard trimmed and the dude that did it hooked it up. Definitely suggest this spot

Vincent Morretino

I've been going to Red's since 2011, and today was the last time I'll ever step foot in the place. I should have made this decision as soon as John and Kim moved on to greater things a few years ago. Since John and Kim have left, it has been a constant struggle to get my hair cut the way I want it. It's not complicated, and it only requires a few things: 1. The ability to follow written instructions 2. Clippers 3. Guards I must be honest and say that my real frustrations began when Robert started cutting my hair. He engages in incessant one sided conversations about sports (I'm not a sports guy at all, and I've told him that every time he has cut my hair), or about his reasoning and methodology of cutting hair, and about how he wants to open his own salon. Good for you dude, I've only heard about it half a dozen times now. And every time I've been in there, he tells me that he can cut my hair at a lower price if I would just deal with him directly and not go to Red's. Wow, talk about unethical. How about you stop using those scissors like I ask you every time you cut my hair, and use the clippers like I want you to? My haircut should not take an hour. It should take no longer than 10-15 minutes and that's being generous. It's like the guy takes advantage of a captive audience by not following directions and taking advantage of my patience and politeness. He's the Del Griffith to my Neal Page from Trains, Planes & Automobiles. He'd eventually listen to me and the haircut would be good enough. Well, today I had absolutely had it, and Robert didn't even cut my hair. But he was there. Oh yes, he was there. The last 2 times I've went to Red's, I specifically asked for someone other than Robert, while Robert was on duty. He obviously doesn't like it when he thinks his "customers" ask for a different barber. The guy that cut my hair today made me wait for 15 minutes (despite have a reservation) while he was across the street fixing his car's tail light. The guy behind the counter had no idea where he had went to, and finally found him and brought him in the shop. I asked the barber to follow the instructions on the print out, but I noticed that the instructions were wrong and told him that I wanted a fade and not a taper. He says "You want a bald fade, or a taper fade?" With a smile, I said "I don't want anything with the word "bald" in it, please." I didn't know that such specifics exist. My fade usually starts at 1/16th of an inch from the nape of my neck to about an inch above my external occipital protuberance and then goes up to a #2 guard, then a #4 for the top. So, he decides that he's just going to go ahead and give me a bald fade with a zero guard all the way to the top of my temporal bones. I got upset when I saw the damage done and he was apologetic. He did his best to even everything out, and the haircut was comped (as well as the Root Beer my son got in the shop), and for that I am thankful. I wasn't going to pay for the haircut anyways, but it was nice that I did not have to press the issue. What put me over the top is that Robert had been watching me get the haircut, saw how angry I had become, and as I walked to the register decided that it was an excellent time to call out, "It looks like the Army is missing a recruit!" Wow. Just wow. What a class act this guy is. Looks like I'll be wearing a hat for a while, but it really is my own fault for not finding a new barber years ago. The law of diminishing returns is in full effect at Red's.

Duckin Fummy

Go to Al, he's the man

Anwar Eaton

Great place have been going here for awhile. No matter which barber you go to you get a great experience.

Robert D Baugh II

I thought I go on record to make clear of a Review that was very Malicious and Defamatory in it's nature and was made out of pure anger and heartless intent! The individual made me out to be Insensitive and Rude and Inconsiderate...everything I'm NOT! I'm first of all a Perfectionist and I strive to be better than I was the day before! Mr. Vincent Morretino was my client for about 4 months and from day one I strived to give him the Best Haircut Possible because I want to make Red's Stand out as the Best Barber Shop in Downtown Indy! With 37 years experience as a Hair Designer/Barber My skill-set is really up to date ! I had to deal with Mr. Morretino being very vague in describing his details of his haircut! I explained to him that I would give him the Best haircut I can and I did! He left out pleased and returned to me Where I even improved and gave an even better cut than the 1st time! And our Manager Scott even stated that "His Haircut was really clean and Nice!" He makes me feel like...since I wasn't His previous Barbers I didn't know what I was doing thus my explaining my advance Barbering training, and techniques while cutting his hair! And I had said that I'd like to see Red's create a Salon with the same classic theme & flair...and mentioned that I HAD thought about opening my own salon quite afew times when I lived in Washington State. He made claims that" I said I'd do his hair for cheaper at my place" ...Funny For I was in a Homeless Veteran's Program due to a recent divorce, and staying in Brandon Hall a VOA Housing unit! So that was a lie! Told because most any employee with common sense wouldn't steal clients from a employer as Nice as Red's! But in his anger for having a Bad Haircut...That I didn't even DO! this was a Straight lash out from him! Now as far as conversations being one sided I've asked Mr Morretino very courteously How's he doing and to ask how he liked the last cut? I'm a very outgoing "people person" personality and I really friendly to all I meet! I don't think Mr. Morretino is friendly to that same extent? He even stated that "I seemed upset that he switch to another barber" and that bothered me"! Well nothing can be further from the truth...for people sit in either whoever's open or who they prefer! I'm only focused on who's in my chair and giving that person the Best Cut and or Shave! I Love Cutting and Styling Hair and it shows by the positive comments from the clients I've seen leave out of Red's While I was letting our Shoe Shine man "Israel" Shine up my shoes and looked up I asked as he was leaving out why the closer cut and said that "You look like a Army guy now" so there again I had words twisted and put in my mouth by a Mr. Morretino to the degree that it cost me my job! Sad how vicious someone can write a review...So I hope when you read reviews you use a filter when reading ones such as the one posted by Mr. Morretino!

Austin Clemens

First time in today and had Al as a barber. Amazing work. Fade, lining, everything. Best clean up I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend Al and Reds!

B.C. Kaiser

Old School , Real Barber shop. Shoe shines and all. Great atmosphere, great cuts, and shaves. Classy

Brandon Vos

I will never again go back to this "barber shop." Last year, funnily enough around the same day, I went to Red's looking for a nice modern cut. I showed the barber an image of the cut I wanted (gradual fade on the sides with good length on top) and instead of following my instructions, the barber took a number two all the way up to my side-part and decided I wanted a rigid, slicked-back pompadour, which wasn't even remotely close to the image I showed him. Cue one year later, and instead of getting the cut I wanted (think Lucky Blue Smith hair—I even showed pictures), the barber—sure enough—took a number three all the way up to my part and gave me—you guessed it—a rigid, slicked-back pompadour (autopilot, anyone?). This time, however, was even worse than the other time. He spent almost no time at all on my hair. A quick number three on the sides and an incredibly sloppy blend around the crown and, voila, he was finished. You could tell he just wanted to clock out and leave. To his credit, he did not charge me for the cut after noticing my displeasure, but that doesn't fix the incredibly ugly hair I have to deal with until it grows back. Save your money and go to Great Clips--you'll get the same service significantly cheaper.

Always a good experience here

James Wilkinson

The barbers are friendly and know what they are doing, but i feel mine tried to style my hair for me rather than just simply doing what i asked. I also didnt like facing the center of the room because i couldn't tell him he was doing it wrong without seeing it in the mirror. And now my hair looks stupid from the left side.

Classic barber shop. No frills haircut.

Dan Fowler

Great barber shop. Vintage atmosphere where barbers really know their craft. Staff is friendly and very respectful of your time. Quality products available to purchase from established brands as well as newcomers. Highly recommended.

Dustin Mathis

Best haircut I've ever gotten. Worth every penny

Brian Walker

This is the best barber shop I've ever visited. The prices are reasonable and the cuts are top notch. I always get my hair cut here.

Justin Smith

William did a great job on the cut, asked lots of questions and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. Cool atmosphere.

Andrew Pool

I've been having William at Red's cut my hair for many years. He's a great guy and does a very good job! Also nice to get your shoes shined while your getting a trim. The straight razor on the back of the neck is the perfect finishing touch.

Mason Riley

Barbers tend to turnover somewhat quickly, but if you find one you like, it's a good shop.

Bill Rowe

Fantastic experience getting my haircut at Red's. Looking forward to my next cut there.

Angelic Gisclair-Hadad

Very professional traditional barbers with classic services including razor shave. We 've never tried that particular service, since I bring my son for his haircuts, but this is his favorite place to get his haircut & they do a great job!

alivia 07

Mark Gray

It was a great place, but not any more. Need new management.

Elliot Zans

Always excellent service, great staff, great prices. Shout-out to Al Harrison who always gives me fantastic fades and sharp edges.

Jerry Boyd

Went today for the first time, highly recommended! I was referred to Elliot by a friend of mine and he did a top notch haircut. I have never had an experience like I did at the Barber Shop! Best haircut I have ever gotten! I’m honestly excited to go back and get another. Elliot described the love of the feeling sitting in the chair and I now completely agree after my experience with them. Other staff was amazing as well, very professional in everything they do! Update 20181128: I have been consistently going to this Barber Shop for haircuts. Each experience is amazing and I get the very best results every time. I am always excited to go get my haircut and feel amazing from the moment I sit in the chair.

George E. Reid

Hair cut, razor lined, shoe shine needed help.

Corey Casper

Awful experience here. The girl did so bad I got up before she was done because I didn't want her touching it anymore. Worst cut of my life.

Sabrina Schindler

Hoosier Meridian

I had long hair until I went here. The guy screwd it up so bad I told him to just take it all off. Now I have a crew cut. Not all, but most black barbers don’t understand white people hair and vice-versa. I’m not 100% blaming him. I possibly could have been more specific or explained what I wanted better. When I come to a barbershop in the city I have expectations that the barbers know their game. Really bad experience.

Chris V

Always good.

Brad Hunter

I was immediately laughed at when I walked in due to growing my hair out for awhile which was very unprofessional. My Barber told me I was his last client of the day and proceeded to say he was in a hurry so tell him what I want I spent over $50 and walked out with a terrible haircut and beard trim. I normally go to Elliot but he was not there. He is why you get a 2 star. I don't understand why a business has one man knowing wth he's doing for so long. Felt like Great Clips.

Adam Boatman

I was in need of a hair cut and just a little pampering. So, I decided to treat myself to a good, old fashioned, barber shop hair cut and shave. Why not go all out. So, I called Red's to schedule an appointment. I decided to go this the Barber Shop Quartet. It had everything I was looking for. A straight razor shave, a shampoo and razor finish. I've never shaved with a straight razor, let alone allowed someone to hold a straight razor to my neck. So, I was a little nervous, to say the least. Scheduling the appointment was easy and they were able to fit me in on a busy Friday during my lunch. I showed up about five minutes early and had a ten minute wait. The vintage decor of the shop was very pleasant and the atmosphere was calming. After checking in, I was greeted by John who would be taking care of me. He was extremely polite and very welcoming. John listen to what I was looking for, hair style wise, and executed with perfection. The entire process wasn't what interested me. John has a massive amount of knowledge when it comes to history and I love talking history. So, while my face was covered up in preparation for the straight razor shave. John shared story after story that were extremely well told and captivated my interests the entire time. The straight razor shave wasn't bad at all. Actually, I'll be going back to John for another. Honestly, the entire process was great but the conversation with John won me over. If you looking for a nice, comforting experience. I would recommend you make that phone call to Red's and ask for John. Well, worth it and I will certainly be back.

Larry Love

I love my red Classic Barber Shop because they good and William good barber and because your friendly.

Mark Price

A must stop for any proper gentleman. Haircut, shave, & shoe shine all in one place. Hats & vintage cuff links make this one heck of a mans store. One trip here & you'll be hooked for life.

Kuris

I'm starting to see newer barbers in the shop with only a handful left that I've gone to in the last two years. While some of the newer barbers are OK, it's really starting to show inexperience in my haircuts. If the trend continues, I will have to change my rating from three stars and consider moving on. The biggest thing that attracted me back then was the unique atmosphere and the barber's personality. A lot of that feels to be eroding away as of recent. *Updated 3/27* Have not been back since review as I've moved on. A shame as I liked them in the beginning but after a few bad cuts and indifferent attitude from some, the last cut really nailed the coffin shut.

Christopher Robertson

Good cut; nice guys. Not chepeast in town.

Añgela Pace

Love this place Will get my boys hair right

Chase Sillery

First time in a real barber and it was a great experience. Look forward to going back.

Gary Lee

Three days later and I'm still healing from being cut and scratched from lack of attention. My coworkers are asking me who mauled me and I quickly tell them "Red's Barbershop did this to me". Also had to fix my haircut when I got home because the barber failed to trim all the way to my part. This was a poor experience all around and I'll be requesting a refund. Will post company response - company was responsive and offered a full refund

Steve Dull

Best experience at a barbershop top quality

Ryan Schwier

Love this place! Great cut and shave every time. Not overpriced.
