This is the best place for a haircut in Boise. It's often busy, so plan accordingly. But, it's worth the wait! Also, they don't accept credit cards, so be sure to bring cash.

Went in at 11:30 on a Saturday and there was one person in the chair just about finished. I didn't realize they only took cash so I was going to run across the street to the ATM to get some cash. As I'm walking out, the lady there rudly tells me she is closing...almost an hour and a half before the time listed. I was really looking forward to getting a cut here because I just live 3 minutes away but I'm so disappointed in the way I was treated that I won't be coming back. My advice, don't waste your time.

I have been to at least 5 different places in Boise to get my hair cut. Without a doubt, hands down (or up) this is the best place in town. I'm in and out of the chair in less than 20 minutes for half the price of most places. She skips the massage and hair wash because honestly, do you really need it? Also there is no sales pitch to buy all the goops and gels. I saw another review about someone showing up just prior to closing and being turned down service. When Patty says that she closes at a time, that is when she leaves the building. I've showed right before closing myself and made the mistake of going elsewhere. Never again. So, plan on showing up at least an hour prior to closing with cash in hand and be ready for the best haircut of your life!

Patty is simply wonderful! The haircuts are terrific and she is incredibly knowledgable and nice. She has a deep love for Boise history and has kept an iconic neighborhood barbershop running. Not many classic barbershops left, but this one is most certainly a gem! Highly recommended. I’ll be back for certain, next time I’m in town!
