Nice people. Comfortable space. But after having heard such glowing reviews from my fellow co-workers, I was truly dismayed and disappointed with the outcome. The haircut was fine, but they really wrecked my beard, specifically my moustache, cut it straight across on one side leaving a noticeable bare patch. Everyone has bad days from time-to-time. (Maybe I just happened to be there on one of those particular days.)

I never enjoy getting my hair cut and usually leave a salon dissatisfied with a mediocre and unflattering hairstyle, edging a respectable distance from the front door before donning a hat and sense of displeasure. This timeless affliction imparts a feeling of dread months later when it can no longer be denied that I am once again in dire need of a haircut. "Better luck next time" has been my running mantra. Luck finally came my way when I stumbled into this gem off the beaten path. Peace Valley presented itself as a two-man shop that really breathes a western vibe in a hip, yet unpretentious way. This cozy nook has a tasteful selection of unique clothing and functional goods in the style of the rustic gentleman. I was treated by Ryan, a pleasant fellow who offered me a haircut and soothing hot shave despite not having an appointment. All I asked for was shorter hair, absent of flamboyance. Was I pleased! Finally I've found a place where I can return with the peace of mind knowing that, not only will I receive an outstanding haircut, I'll get an outstanding experience too.

He gave me the haircut exactly how I wanted and made sure everything looked good, which is no small feat because I am very particular about how my hair is cut and gave lots of strange/complicated directions. He didn’t rush through my appointment and had a unique conversation with me which was much different from other barbers I’ve been to.
