It can be tough to find a good barber shop..but I found mine. Cesar has cut my hair twice and given me one shave. I’ve never been so pleased with my hair!!!! The products I was told to use are amazing as well. Very deliberate movements as he cuts, styles and shaves. I’ve been to a lot of different barbers in a lot of different cities and I can tell you, without hesitation, this guy knows his craft, and watching the rest of the crew I can tell they do too. If you’re a man and you want a great haircut and shave this is hands down the best in Boise!!!

I’ve been doing business with the founders of OBC for several years and I have to say the service provided has always been excellent. The cuts are legit and the people know their craft better than most. Fades are on point, lineups are great, and they actually take the time to talk with you about what you like or want while providing suggestions if needed. The kid’s cuts are fantastic and they devote the same time they would for an adult which leaves kids feeling confident and the styling backs that up. They even go the extra mile with beard trims, hot towels, and excellent straight razor work. Highly recommended in an excellent downtown location for a full on cut, quick trim, or whatever you need. Went in for a hair cut for my partner and I. We have been wanting to try this place for a while. So we walk in and the barber hollered from the loft that we could come back later since there was someone ahead of us. We said ok, thinking the place was walk ins only. The barber then asked if we wanted an appointment to lock in our time. He came down from the loft and We of course opted for an appointment. He then put us in for around 2PM to around 2:30PM for our appointment. We went and got food then came back at 2:15PM right inbetween the suggested time we should return. The barber took a peek downstairs from the loft again and said hi again guys! That was the only time he spoke to us when we returned. No ETA. All the while the guy was friendly when he did greet us. The reason for the low rating is that if you take the time to schedule an appointment for someone you should honor it. We ended up leaving upset and left around 3:05ish... 35 min past the late end of our appointment and 50 min of waiting total. What a bust.

Cesar at Oxblood Commons is by far the best barber in the Treasure Valley. He listens to what you want, takes his time to get your haircut just right, and always makes sure you’re satisfied with the end result. He makes himself available for early morning or late evening appointments, and does his best to fit you in with a time that works with your schedule. He doesn’t just cut hair, he gets to know his clients and builds relationships too. I can easily get a decent fade or a taper somewhere else, but the value at Oxblood is in the details. It’s always enjoyable getting a haircut there and I’ll never go to another barber because Cesar really does go above and beyond.

Honestly can't say good enough things about Oxblood. Cesar is running a great shop here in Boise. He listens to exactly what you want. If you're not feeling something, he fixes it. Missed a couple baby hairs on my neck, when we were finished, he pulled me back and took care of them. He cares about how you look as much as you do. Had to take my kid in there and he made loads of conversation with my kid and myself. Super friendly dude, too. Very positive, has funny stories, and overall just seems like a good person. Also the prices at Oxblood are fantastic. Been to other barbers that gouge you with the price and butcher your head. So, way to go Cesar. Couldn't recommend this place enough. I'll certainly be back in a couple months.
