Twice I have gone in explaining that I am growing out my hair, all I wanted was to slightly trim it to keep it healthy and growing, twice I have done that and Twice have they completely ruined my growth by cutting it way too short. Short to the point where it's almost buzzed, Twice. Super disappointed. I simply say, I'm growing out my hair and I want it to be more flowed in the back, just a little trim is all. and TWICE have they completely screwed up my hair. they get no more of my business. very, very disappointed.

This one is less than mile away from me so I decided to check it out. I thought what I explained would be good enough, a low fade on the sides and about an inch of the top. I said a one would be okay to start with on the low fade. She ended up taking it way above the ears and it ended up being a high fade or even a high and tight. The staff was nice though and the place was generally clean, one bad haircut is just enough for me.

If you have a bright neon sign that says “OPEN”, have your hours painted on the door, and a person inside walking around....unlock your doors and serve a customer. Was it close to closing time?, yes. But if closing is 8pm and it’s 7:30, then you can still take a customer. Or at the very least turn off the open sign.

Having worked at Lady Jane's for about 11 months . I was hired on for my skills of 30 years experience, and the only 1 in the salon who could do flat tops, and ethnic hair. I was pulled in the back and yelled at by the management and informed I was not a good fit. This was brought on because I was not interested in sucking up to the manager and didn't care to waste my time to fit into her little salon clique .. Unfortunately this salon has a lot of turn over, and they don't value the talented stylist that do work there ( for limited time.) I was also expected to sign a new contract that did not have my best interest at heart. I was treated badly for refusing to 'just sign it' on managers cell phone without opportunity to read and fully understand. When I said I would prefer it printed out and accurate to my % commission rate fixed, again I was told just sign it... And since I wanted a professional to look over the details.. led to me being taken off the schedule. They claim we are independent contractors, and take 60% of income + an additional 3% for credit cards used, and forced to pay into backbar daily, at first they were covering radio marketing, but soon after stopped that completely! Good luck to those who still work there and the clients as well..

Great staff decent pricing. Prices went up from 12 bucks to 15 for a "regular" haircut. The staff is awesome and friendly. There can be very long wait times during certain hours of the day. Add on services are too pricey to justify. Overall a nice place to get a haircut.

I've been there twice and left unhappy both times the frist time i wasn't givin the haircut I asked for and left mostly bauld . I decided to give them another shot and explained to the lady about cutting my hair the last time for which he apologized but clearly didn't care because she didn't do as I asked and apcut half my eyebrow off plus she charged me three dollars more and asked for a tip . When I got home my girlfriend even noticed the poor cut I got and was pissed .

I have been in with my kids multiple times. Tonight I took in my 17 year old for the standard haircut. The stylist decides that she's going to upsell to him and then does the $39 hair treatment without ever consulting with me. This is SO UNETHICAL! How can she think that it's alright to seek permission from a minor and not talk to the parent who she knows is sitting in a chair in the shop waiting? We will never be going back there.

I went here to pamper myself a bit i shave with hair clippers bald use the same clippers on my face, it makes it simple...i came here noon on 5-11-18 and had one of the worst haircutting experiences of my life the girl was stuck up, valley girl attitude was extremely rough with the clippers/ on my head and while shaving my beard was rude about damn near every aspect of it, i didnt want the hot towel so i get an "ok" in the your a dumb A for not wanting it tone and unlike the first time i came here she laid me back to shave my face which caused all the hair to accumulate on my face, in my eyes nose and mouth.. Which i repeatedly had to sit up and brush off, when i blew some hair out of my mouth (not spit, just a small burst of air to clear the hair pile) he got upset cause i blew it in her face which i did not know cause my eye where closed do to the accumulation of hair. So this mcnasty proceeds to be rougher on my shave giving me clipper burn on my neck then walks away.. I noticed hair on my neck forehead and mustach area and said i need all this gone.. She said i know im just done with you and your attitude and i conversed with her about not knowing i blew hair at her and i was sry as she roughly ckeared up 2 or 3 of the problem areas then she says you want those long eyebrows trimmed i responded uh no, she tells me thats wierd all of this with a really nasty attitude and sarcastic tone....like not even close to what is advertised, i was so upset i just walked instead of telling her how she is supposed to do her job and ive never worked a day doing what she does but i know it is not supposed to be even closed to that B.S my

BEWARE, not trained barbers, totally inexperienced "stylists". I asked for a #1 fade and a trim for my modern pompadour style. I ended up with a .5 undercut that looks like a mohawk. Worst haircut I have ever received! It's going to take months to get my hair back. Also, my beard trim was uneven and I was left with one side of my mustache shorter than the other. I'm NEVER going back here again!

I'm over this place. They don't charge what's listed on their list of prices on the wall. Last time she charged me 17. The wall says 15 for a haircut. All I got was a haircut. Nothing added on. Today a different girl charged me 20. I look on the wall. Still says 15 for a haircut. I ask what's up. She says "oh that's just for a buzzcut". I didn't have time to deal with it nor did I feel like dealing with it but that sealed it. Never going back.

Let's not forget that the barber chair was seriously the Cadillac of barber chairs. I could have fallen asleep. I’ve had good and bad experiences here, long waits even with appointments. Always better than most places in cut quality. Whoever runs it needs to get their arms around it, revolving door of stylist which results in all over prices some how. I’ve paid as little as $17 & as much as $39 (before tip). Tonight was the first time it was above $25 and I’m not sure why. Same service I’ve been getting there for a couple months. Just doesn’t seem like the place runs well, I don’t plan on going back anymore, just not worth it.

So, I'm not one to write reviews, but I've had it with poor customer service and the attitude that my time isn't valuable. My 6 year old had a 1:00 appointment. He was so excited to get a "big boy haircut". We signed in on the computer, designated when asked that we had the 1:00 appointment, and waited. At 1:30, no one had even acknowledged us, so I interrupted a stylist to ask what the problem was. She first said that my son didn't have an appointment. Then she "found him" and basically just shrugged it off and said we could wait another 20-30 minutes or leave. I asked what the point of having an appointment is if they don't reserve time. She said appointments are one hour slots... but we would have been waiting an hour WITH an appointment, which means they took someone else in our slot. We left, and my son was crying. The worst part is no one was even apologetic. I see from Yelp reviews this is typical at this place, so that tells me this is not a company I want to do business with. It's a shame because the actual venue is super nice and affordable. I've sent this same review to corporate!

I wanted to give this place a chance. They have so-so reviews, but I was willing to give them a shot. I was very disappointed. The woman who cut my hair was rude and aggressive. She pushed the trimmers into my neck enough that I have a cut (see picture). She didn't hold up a mirror to show me the back of my neck or I would've asked her to clean it up. There is a big spot around my ear that she missed too. I have to go to a different barber/salon today just to clean up mistakes. I can't speak to the other employees, but based on other reviews, they have similar issues. I was able to walk right in on a Friday afternoon, but that is probably more of a warning than a positive. I did not see their prices posted anywhere, but it was $19 for a basic haircut, no frills.

After being required to have my haircut every week during my eight years of military service, I became somewhat of an aficionado for recognizing high quality barber services; and Lady Jane's is no exception. It wouldn't be fair, however, to say I found a good barber; instead, I found a great hair stylist - Natalie. Unlike many other experiences I've had with haircut's at national chains (Great Clips, Supercuts, etc.), Natalie takes time to customize and personalize my haircut. Moreover, she does so with years of experience, making sure that each clipping is conforming to a sleek and professional look. In fact, I've gotten haircuts just before going to job interviews, which were well recieved and complimented, that helped me have that extra edge and confidence, letting my potential employer know that I portray a highly professional demeanor. Overall, the choice is simple: if you want a great haircut, go to Lady Jane's.

The salon opened about a year ago, and I've been going to them ever since, never a bad haircut. Relatively a short wait on walk ins - they can make appointments if you like. Professional and courteous and only $15 for a (wet and) cut. Ask for Amber who works Tues, Weds., Fri. 10 - 8; Sat 9 - 6. About 8 total stylists at any given time to help you with products or cuts, etc. !

The woman who did my hair was successfully able to ruin my hair. Did not listen to anything I asked her to do. My hair looks ridiculous and not even from both sides. I got my hair cut here just before Christmas as they happened to be one of the very few hair cut places around that was not packed right before Christmas. They are definitely not a barber shop as they use a regular cheap razor to shave the back of your neck in place of a straight edge. I am not sure what the stylist did but when I went home, I had to get my trimmers out to fix the right side of my hair as she did not do a very good job of blending the side hair in with the scalp. Despite this, I still gave her a decent tip yet not even a "Thank you" or "Merry Christmas" in return. If you want a real hair cut go to a real barber. I would list which one is the best in town, but I am sure that would get my post blocked. But here is a hint, The best place is a Reel Barber Shop, Just ask Fred.

We had a pleasant experience and wow a little tough to understand, the girl who cut my son's hair was mostly of good nature. Rather expensive for what we got which was a simple boys cut no part No Shave lines or anything like that, just a simple haircut for a 5 year old boy. With tip it was almost $30 which I feel like is a bit pricey for what we got but otherwise you can go in and get a good haircut at whatever the anticipated price rates are.

I ask for a light trim with scissors, got a buzz cut with clippers. After the cut she tried to instruct me on how I should request a cut. Guard #, finger length and a bunch of nonsense (not even close to what I like or asked for). She should listen to the customer and at least try to do what they ask. This place is just straight up scandaless I mean if you come in 20 minutes before the shop closes they should cut your hair. It says they will close at 5pm but they lock there door before that time infact way before. How it works is if you are a paying customer and you arrive before it closes they cut you and lock the door at the time it closes not before. This is just pure laziness because these stylists don’t want to cut anymore hair so they can just leave. I won’t be returning to this place again. Well along with the haircuts they give the same as sport clips or great clips. Not really gonna be a good result when your stylist just wants to move on to the next person in 5 minutes. Don’t come here there are way better real barbershops in the northland then this dump.

Started going to Lady Jane’s after discovering them next to Firehouse Subs on Eagle road. Alyssa does a great job on my haircut and spent quite a bit of time trying to perfect the best approach to my challenging, thick and strong-willed hair. :-) Also, one of the few places where they don’t rush you out but spend time giving a great scalp massage and straight razor shave on the back of the neck. Nice to see this level of service for the same price as other men’s haircut shops. Glad you’re in Boise Lady Jane’s!

I have gone in three times the first two times I checked in and sat down , waited anywhere from 10-20 before I got my hair cut which is pretty long considering the hair cuts take 20-40 min, I said okay what ever I'll try them again. this last time I went in checked in and selected first available. Cause there was a girl just wrapping up a cut and there was no one else waiting. So I figured i would be next. Well that was wrong I waited about 15 min then a gentleman walks in and checks in then the girl finishes up the guy she was working on and is sweeping at this point so I figured I would be next since I have been in there about 20 min at this point. NOPE wrong again she skipped me and didn't even say a word and helped the guy who was in there waiting about 5 min , so I went up and waited for 4 mins (yes I counts how long it took for someone to acknowledge me ) and once I did I asked to be taken off the list since I was skipped. The lady didn't even say sorry or anything so I just walked out! SO ONLY COME HERE IF YOU ARE WILLING TO WASTE AT LEAST 1hour to 1.5 hours getting your hair cut.

I went in here to get a haircut. I signed in with one person ahead of me. 45 mins later and at least 2-3 stylists doing nothing, I decided to leave. I expect to wait when its busy. I don't expect to wait with no help. It was the most ridiculous thing I've seen. Rather then confront them, I just left irritated. Of course, they knew i was there. I will never go here again.

This is the best place I've ever gotten my haircut. True story- the very first time I went here a new girl, that was still very inexperienced gave me a pretty bad haircut and when I was checking out the manager came over and not only realized the sub par job, but had the tact and grace to not make it uncomfortable for me and ended up giving me the best haircut I'd ever had. What a rip off!!! I stop by for the first time for a quick haircut. I see that just a haircut is $16 I go back and am asked how I would like my haircut and I say I would like a razor fade. I’m told the can’t do it with a razor but have some clippers that cut very short. I get my haircut and tell the stylist no need to wash my hair it’s late and she should get home to her kids. I go to pay and am told I owe $25 for my haircut. Stunned I ask why $25 when the sign says $16???? I’m told that’s for a buzz cut even though it does not specify on the sign. Then I’m told the clippers that were used were “SPECIAL HIGH TECH CLIPPERS” and I was charged for that plus $3 for a neck shave hot towel and wash even though I didn’t have it or requested it. I was told they charged everybody $3 even if they don’t receive the service. I was told they were independent contractors and basically do and charge what they want. WHAT A SCAM B E W A R E !!!!!!!!

This was a good experience for both myself and my son. The sports theme is not really our thing, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The seating in the waiting area was very comfortable. The quality of the cuts was top notch and the staff listened to what we asked for. The only downside was that the cuts took a long time. Worth it for the quality, though. I do recommend.

1-1/2hr of pure torture. “Tosha” claims to have been cutting hair for 20 years yet has NO CLUE how to do a simple fade. My scalp is raw from her digging the comb into the side of my head while she attempted an entire fade with a time comb and small shears and I’m pretty sure she ripped hairs out of my head while attempting to scalp me with the “scalp wash” she gave with the tenderness of someone trying scrub burnt lasagna out of an oven. It took me an hour and a half before I had to ask her to stop because she was clearly struggling with this simple fade and honestly my scalp couldn’t take the pain anymore. I knew 5 minutes in I was doomed but gave her multiple chances to clean it up and she failed miserably. WORST HAIRCUT OF MY ENTIRE LIFE

I stopped going to barber shops because I couldn't get a good haircut in Boise with good customer service, VIVIAN has made me get that trust back. She was beyond friendly, she had a clean work area, she has a great way of conversating while still doing a great job with the haircut. She is such a great multitasker. She massaged me so gently and relaxed me so much after a long day at work. I now will make this my new haircut place because of her. I definitely recommend her ! I was looking for a beard trim and haircut. My first time at lady Jane's was Feb 13th. My stylist spent almost an hour and a half on me. It was by far the best experience I have had in 5 years. She used probably 10 hot towels throughout did exactly what I asked and I was blown away at the price when I was done. Also straight razors what a beauitiful forgotten talent. I was expecting a 50 plus dollar bill when all said and done. It was 24 bucks. Boys go get taken care of there. I will be a loyal client moving forward.

UPDATE: I spoke with the manager Natalie who is the actual barber there. She offered to fix everything for me, however, I have decided to try somewhere else. I give her 5 STARS for her customer service. From what I gather, she is the one you want to see if you need your beard trimmed here. I knew I should have went against my better judgement of this place. Apparently they have a great marketing department because it comes off like they know what they are doing. I brought in written directions from my previous barber since I recently moved here and the girl still couldn't get it right. Not to mention, I asked about their beard trimming and if they do them often and she said they do them all the time. She told me she just couldn't do the straight razor. Why didn't I walk out at that moment in time? What a complete butcher job! Clearly you do not need a certification to work here. Avoid at all costs. They did offer to allow me to come back and have the manager who is apparently certified to correct it but after some thinking, I will go to another barber shop to get this nightmare corrected. Back to re-growing my beard again to get it back to where it was. Total disappointment and nothing but absolute regret!

A little more expensive than I like. But Natalie was amazing. Edit: I have lowered my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. The staff is awesome, but despite having a walk-ins welcome on their door, you will have issues if you need a straight razor. I still stand by what I said before, Natalie is amazing. But if you need straight razor work higher than the back of your lower neck, make an appointment. I don't like making appointments, so I will just go back to sport clips. I don't get the exact haircut I want there but it is about half the price and half the time.

This place is awesome! Such a refreshing break when I decided to take a chance and stop in my first time at the overland park location. This is where I found Natile. I have since followed her to the Kansas City Missouri location off Antioch, despite the fact that I live in South joco, KS. She does an amazing job, and she does it with absolutely no help from me. Don't, don't, don't..... waste your time... waited 30+ mins and watched two other people randomly go ahead of me on a slow quiet Sunday Morning as stylists stood in their breakroom on cellphones. The stylists are there for an hourly wage and the work ethic reflects that. If you like interfacing with a computer and a lazy stylist nursing a hangover this could be your spot. Just hope you have enough humor and charm to wear the horrible haircut for the next two weeks.

Called sports clips and they had a 90 minute waiting list. Searched the internet for an alternative and found Lady Janes less than a mile from my house. Was able to get in right away. I found the atmosphere, prices and customer service better than the sports clips by far. Katrina was super friendly and I'm now a customer for life! The cuts do take a little longer than your average “chop shops” but that’s what sets them apart.
