I WISH I could say I had a great experience but it was only half great. There were three barbers in the salon when I arrived and one customer leaving. I was told by friends that this was the place to go for a proper fade. I get there and I'm always a little worried because I have the bad luck sometimes of the barbershops assigning me to older white guys that are amazing barbers but are horrendous at fades. The one barber who I think is the owner and probably the best at fades decided to leave me in the hands of someone that was not good at fades. My barber was a lovely man. He did great work on the top of my head with the longe hair and was a pleasure to talk to. He finishes me up pretty quickly and left me with some pretty hard lines between the transition of the longer and shorter hair. I don't want to slight the barber because he was just doing his best but if you know proper fades aren't your thing then it would be better to just turn down the job. There was no one there but us so I had no one to go to for help. I guess I'll have to go to the guy at Super Cuts who suprosingly enough I hear actually knows how to give really great fades.

I typically cut my own hair and have trouble trusting other people to cut my hair. However, when I was in Hawaii, I decided to get a haircut. The reviews suggested Boss Cutz Barber Shop is the go to spot In Kona and I was not disappointed. The shop is clean and nicely decorated. The chairs are comfortable and cool looking. There are television screens visible in all directions. Even the barbers' shirts are modern and sleek. The shop maintains a barber shop feel, but with a twenty-first century twist. Jeremiah was my barber. He asked me what I wanted and spent over an hour and a half providing me with the perfect cut.

So I made an appointment to get my haircut day of my wedding, and I am so glad I did. These guys know exactly what they are doing, and they got me and my groomsman looking so fresh for my big day. I have been to quite a few barbershops in my life, and this was by far the best experience I had. The boss man is the one who chopped me up and he did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
