A recent move left me without my stylist (to whom I had gone for over 15 years!). After a couple of failed attempts at finding someone new, I stumbled upon DirtyApples Salon and am so glad I did. BEST HAIRCUT EVER! Linda took her time and learned my hair...I no longer have to fight cowlicks or growth angles...it just falls perfectly. I get more compliments than ever.

You can't beat this place. Especially since the can get a real, professional looking cut fit only a few more dollars than the hack job you'll get from the chains. Ryan's a good guy to talk with as well. Place is really comfortable.

Great experience at this salon, took me forever to find one in Delaware and now that I've found one, I'm staying. Cut and color was spot on, I was comfortable giving Ryan some basic instruction and letting him do the rest. Love the style of the salon too!

For the same price as a SuperCuts or Hair Cuttery, Ryan delivers an exceptional cut, is personable and gave me the cut I was looking for with minimal input from me.. They also have the most comfortable wash basins that I've ever rested my head in.

Moving to DE, I was disappointed to see what few options men had fora "non-great clips" haircut. Very pleased I stumbled across Dirty Apples. Friendly staff, clean and modern salon, and obviously I walked away with a haircut I was happy about. Highly recommended.

The salon is clean, well laid out and has a very bright, happy energy. Ryan and his staff are very helpful and lovely to deal with. Ryan takes the time to help you figure out what you like about a cut and fits it to you. I would definitely recommend DirtyApples.

I was very impressed on my first visit to this salon. Ryan spent time and asked a lot of questions to understand what I wanted and gave me the perfect haircut. This time though, he felt a little off. Hardly paid attention to what I was saying, didnt try to understand and delivered maybe 2 of the 6-7 things I wanted to see. He even forgot to make one major change and after blowdry, when I reminded for the 3rd time, cut my dry and already styled hair to fix it! I can understand we all have those days but now I have to live with this hair till it grows back. Not sure I'll go back again. Might as well go to the lower priced basic salons if that's what is going to be delivered here at DirtyApples.

I was looking for a place to have hair cut since we just moved to Newark. Overall, I had a great experience with Ryan. I am very picky about my hair, and I only had two hair stylists in the last 15 years. I am Asian and I found that it was difficult to find American barber who could cut Asian hair. Ryan was able to cut my hair by looking at my photo, I am very pleased and will come back. Bonus: their store is clean and comfortable. The reception girl is friendly and helpful. Thank you Ryan!

I found friendly service, beautiful cuts and colors, and fair prices there for four years. Best haircut and hair salon experience Ive ever had. Nice and friendly staff but not overly talkative if you are an introvert like me. They have coffee and let me borrow headphones while I waited. Even sent me out with 2 bed bath and beyond coupons so I can get a new hairbrush! Only regret is not tipping more. Fancy salon experience for a low price.

Came in late on a Saturday and Ryan was able to squeeze me in for a quick cut. Best experience I've had at any barber/stylist. Very professional and x10 better quality than the other barbers I've been to for the same price!

Did not give me the haircut I specifically asked for, unevenly cut (longer in back and a weird chunk with a long point near back on right side longer than the rest, all called out by another stylist), and offered for me to call in anytime if I wasn't satisfied with anything for a fix, but no call back from salon at all, so I guess they don't stand by their word? Also extremely hard to get someone on the phone, and would be hard to even get in for a fix in a timely manner if they did stand by their word because of how tightly booked they are. I waited three weeks for a disappointing experience. Cost plus wait time not worth it in the end. Really wanted to like, but was a no for me in the end.

Went there on the recommendation of a friend. Got a hair cut elsewhere and it was not how I wanted it at all. Dirty apples was a very nice, clean, friendly salon. He was able to fix my cut to just how i wanted it. Good pricing, definitely planning on going back.
