Brandon is awesome! I absolutely LOVE the design in my undercut. He was fast, and very detailed with it. The whole time he was doing my hair, there were some walk-ins, and people who called to schedule appointments, and he didn't say no to anybody. He assured them they will get in today, despite being super busy. Which is just amazing customer service. You can definitely tell that he loves what he does.

There is only one phenomenal barber here; the rest are one-trick-ponies and seem very subpar. (They are only used to the standard taper or high-top fade. Proceed with caution if you're looking to get something a little different.) There's a reason this one barber is constantly booked with appointments day in and day out while the other barbers are generally always available. The prices here are low, so you get what you pay for. If you've ever gotten a cut at a high quality place, you'll notice the difference in skill/quality once you get a cut at Ace of Fades.

Wow!! What a barber shop! I was lucky enough to have John cut my hair at my visit. He took the time to determine the way my hair grows, and cut with the grain as you could say. They are available for appointments or walk-in. John took the time to do me up right, and made me look 1000x better than when I walked in!! I only spent $20, which is reasonable, and like it says by the door "Cheap haircuts aren't good; and good haircuts aren't cheap". Would recommend to anyone!! 11/10

Ace of fades is amazing. The Keizer location is no longer there, but the main one is one commercial in downtown Salem. I have gone there for a while to do my beard. But I built up courage and took a blade to my hair for the first time in 6 years. They were very careful and understanding that I was paranoid about cutting my hair at all. They made me feel comfortable! Not to mention the excellent beard styling, the hair cut was amazing too. Best service, really chill environment. This is the only shop I trust to touch my beard and locks, and at an unbeatable price. They also hooked me up with an eyebrow notch. Everything I needed.

My boyfriend has gotten his hair cut here a couple times now. The first time was horrid, the wait was long and the cut took almost an hr, for a skin fade. The guy cut his head and left it a little crooked. He decided to give them another shot, I wouldn't have, this time he got John who did a great job. We still had to wait almost an hr as we were there when they said they would open but no one actually showed up until 20 min later and we were 2nd in line. I give 3 stars look only because John did a great job on my bfs cut, but the time and un professional way the business is handled doesn't impress me and if it was my choice I wouldn't go there for my hair.

My family never leaves disappointed. They have a great team and we enjoy our appointments as our barber really listens to our requests and executes them flawlessly. Dont go anywhere else...Aof is your place for not only an awesome cut but a great experience! Fyi:Sometimes there can be a waiting time for the next available barber but that is what an appointment is for. We usually call in a week or two ahead as they fill up fast :)

Worst service ever. No one acknowledge me as I walked in . After 2 barbers were done with there haircuts they walked away and never said I'll be with in a minute or anything. One went to smoke a ciggeret and another one went to the back room . Place was dirty in the restroom and I just don't feel like the owner takes a pride in what he does or his shop . Tried to give a new shop a chance but failed once again . Don't waste your time . Last time I went at 4 and there was one guy working (fat dude tatted up). 3 ppl ahead of me i was thinking it wasn't going to be a long wait but I was wrong. He kept saying his the best barber and he don't like rushing ppl so he won't fuck up hair! I waited and when it was my turun it was 6 15 already I know I never wait that long at Hair Express in Woodburn I was fucking tired of being there he cuts my hair and I told him tape me up I go 4 on top and 3 on the sides and bottom and fade the sides up. This motherfucker did not fade me up what so ever ! Look like a military hair cut! I'm sure if I told him I hated ppl with EBT help and hate Obama he would tape me up good!! Just like the 3 ppl ahead of me. Fuck this place go to Diamonds or Hair Express ace fade is trash. On top of all this bullshit the downtown one closed at 4 (early as fuck) and that barber shows up in Keizer and he was going to the smoke shop next door!! Lol waist of money!

Even while going through with the cut he asked and gave options for the finer details of the cut and how it would work with my facial hair. The result was better than I'd imagined it could be. By far one of the best cuts I've ever had, showed up at 3pm on a Saturday knowing that they close at 4pm. Was able to get my hair cut after waiting an hour and fourty mins, now Dont get it twisted, I appreciate them staying after hours and cutting me up, but had I known the wait was gone be that long, I would've came back Monday. Since this being my fist experience there, I gave it four stars, hoping my next cuts wait won't be as long. They definitely are a five star baber shop, skills on deck!

Plus they do a punch card thing, which helps with costs :) They did a mohawk with a complicated back cut to mine, and listened very closely to what I wanted and didn't want. Just a great overall experience, and they play nice music too

The hair I got the first time was just perfect. Second time I came cuz I liked the haircut was messed up. Seemed to me like the guy doing what he liked not what I asked for. And there's nobody like to talk about it after it's already messed up cuz even if I complained, no one is getting your hair back. So, I just let it go. forgot what the guy name is, but he's the one all the way at the back left side when you enter the shop.

I called several places and but ACE OF SPADES was courteous on the phone and let us know there would be a wait. It was crowded but we sat and waited. Watching these men do complicated haircuts was fascinating. My husband is pretty set on how his hair should look and Jake talked with him thoroughout the whole process to give him the haircut he perceived. Terrific haircut and my husband very pleased with the results. I think it's the best he has had in years. The shop could use some updates but the gentlemen working there are fun and courteous and take pride in every haircut. It was a great experience with some very nice people. Yes sometimes the wait times are long but that’s because right now they only have two barbers you have to expect that. Let me start off by saying the haircut quality is great here. The price is right and people here know how to cut hair. A haircut will take more than 30min to complete because they want to do a good job. Some of them transitioned from a old spot on Baltimore Pike. The review goes sour after that. Waiting 2-3 hours for a haircut is unacceptable. "Homeboys" coming in after you without appointments will get a cut before you. Barbers will walk past you and randomly pick someone and ask if they are being helped even if that kid just came in. No poops given about who came in first. The motto here is, "you snooze, you lose." I'm sure getting appointments would resolve the situation, but my schedule is always shifting so I don't really like to confirm to a sure time. This joint seems to lack a "boss" or "manager" unlike the old joint which creates a chaotic structure.

Worst Barber Shop experience of my life. I walked in and there was only one other person getting a cut, and only two workers. The guy who worked on me was sitting and watching a football documentary on their mounted big-screen. He got up, did a few things without saying anything, then when I was about to sit down unsure of what else to do, he waved me over. He didn't say anything to me until I was seated and covered. I told him "Razor the head--I fell behind" and that was the extent of communication between us (aside from random football commentary). He didn't use a razor, he buzzed and then moved to an electric shaver--but okay, no big. Then he attacked my facial hair without saying or asking anything. He gave me wicked razor burn on my upper lip as he cut down a good half an inch of hair that I was fine with, cut me several times in the process, missed a spot under my nose, gave me these weird points below my cheek bones, and it looked absolutely terrible! I shaved it all off as soon as I got home, and now I look like Mr. Clean. Thanks for that.
