The staff is always friendly and provide consistent, quality haircuts. They are knowledgeable, with experience in all types of hair, and work well together creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. I have been a customer for 7 years and have yet to be dissatisfied with my haircut or visit. I highly recommend this establishment due to these factors and their low prices. I look forward to each visit knowing that I will always leave looking my best.

Disappointed in this place we arrived there at 3pm. The lady refused to cut my 8 year old sons hair, she said they are closing at 4pm! One person was on the chair almost finished and one person waiting. Maybe they should change the hours!

Wayne and his team are haircut specialists, and treat their craft quite seriously. Lively, retro atmosphere with a decent vinyl/LP selection playing contemporary tracks in the background. Cool aesthetic, with a revolving photo/art selection showcased on the walls. It can get quite busy at times, but I’ve had success as a walk-in...never having to wait too long. Cash only, which is somewhat annoying - but they do have an in-house ATM. Highly recommended!

My first time at this Barbershop about a year ago I was slightly reluctant to try it. I read some of the 'bad' reviews and didn't think it was worth the trouble. I'm am so glad I didn't go anywhere else though! The experience every single time I enter flows of the laid back soulful pride that only Wayne could pull off. Wayne and His staff have top of the line skill, and customer satisfaction is through the roof. They are all clean, well groomed, and professional in a manner that doesn't speak bureaucracy. There's always good laughs and entertaining conversations to pass by the time. People who come here find it best to not have evening plans though, they're good because they take their time with their haircuts. And that means the people in front of you are going to get the best quality haircut that your going to get. I usually block anywhere between 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on the amount of people inside. I always tip well for this service. I only get it done once every two weeks, so two weeks worth of tips is what they will get.

I walked in and was welcomed by a rude woman who was cutting a gentleman’s hair who just said “this is it for the night guys”. Not Hi or how can I help you? It was 6:10 and they close at 7:00. I also called the day before and was told I could walk in up till 6:30. First time in the door and was the last. First impressions are everything.

If you call yourself a barber shop operate like a barber shop. Ie you don’t need an appointment. If you want to operate like a hair salon fair enough but call yourself that. Seriously!

GREAT atmosphere and best quality cut on the east coast! I've been a customer and friend of Wane's Barber Shop since 2011 and couldn't imagine getting a haircut anywhere else. Need a cut but didn't make an appointment? Go to the Groton, CT location for walk-ins. Don't want to wait in line? Make an appointment at the Mystic, CT location. #customerforlife
