Nobody else does as good a job as Mr. Mike on my boy's heads. Been taking them to see him for about 8yrs now. Not only is he good with hair, but the true "barbershop banter" here is beyond educational. We've learned alot about local / CO history, and my boys always walk out looking sharp! Mike Nelson is a great old school type barber. Damn good at what he does. Good conversation and hell of a personality. His other customers I've interacted with have all been quality people and interesting to talk to as well. I always enjoy stopping in his shop for haircuts a a good time. I highly recommend him if anyone is looking for a REAL barber and not some haircut factory kind of place. True barbershop atmosphere.

Nelson's is a real barber shop where one can get a great haircut, hot lather shave, and plenty of barber shop jaw-jacking. The owner Mike is the one who cuts hair and he really cares about his work. I've been going there for over five years and I've always left with an amazing haircut that I was happy with, and usually made a new friend or two while I was there. It's hard to find shops anymore that do hot lather shaves with a straight edge razor and Mike does a fine job. Even if you don't want to pay the extra few bucks for a face shave, Mike finishes every trim with a hot lather neck and sideburns clean up...once again, something that you don't find in most of today's shops. Bottom line: If you're looking for a great haircut with some fun conversation and good music - he's a local musician - head over to Nelson's. You may even get to meet his dog if you're lucky.

Mike is a great barber. He has been cutting my hair for twenty plus years. He has a tendency to cut a little short. So ask for a meedium. One of the few guys left to use a razor. Great musician also. Can give you a really close shave.

Have been getting Haircuts by Nelson for years, even before the Barbor Shop. I have yet to this day to have any issues with either Nelson or his work staff and they always know how to get a real haircut done. I refuse to go anywhere else for a haircut since the opening of the Barber Shop

This is the only place I will go to get my haircut. Mike does an exceptional job every time. Along with a quality haircut, he provides good conversation and great jokes. He always finishes with a straight razor around the ears and neckline, leaving you with a clean smooth look. Just know that he is cash only.
