Exactly why I haven't had a different barber for 3 years. My normal cut takes an hour. This one took 20 mins and she didn't even give me what I wanted! Absolutely terrible, how are you gonna be a barber when you can't follow the simplest directions!? Right back to the same old barber, can't trust these pathetic chain barber shops.

More of a upscale great clips as far as doing a guys hair fades. Ive had 1 hair cut I've asked for out of the 10+. Overspriced as well and I can only say this about the mens cuts. I always ask for a low or medium fade but they usually end up going high.

To busy laughin and having a good time with her client. Been at this location several times and feel poorly managed, will not go back after this experience.

I walk up at 852am, the doors are unlocked so I poke my head in and the girls tell me they’re not open. 4 people proceed to walk in 3 minutes later. I go in and ask if they have availability for walks in and was instructed that they’re full first thing with appointments. Thanks for making me wait for nothing. I won’t be back here, the front desk gal was not nice whatsoever.

The staff was incredibly rude, the lady who cut my hair argued with me the entire time when I asked her not to cut it too short. After asking her to not cut off any more, she proceeded to cut more off. After I was done, they charged me $26.00, and couldn't have been more disrespectful.

Yeesh. I'd advise anyone thinking of coming here to keep looking. Came in one night for a beard trim because they're open late, and boy did I have regrets. The "stylist" spent all of 5 mins and did more talking than trimming. In the end, I had to go somewhere else to get it repaired.

On two separate occasions I have made a hair appointment at this location. The first time I arrived five minutes early, let them know I was there and then watched four other guys get called up before me. I waited and was called up 45 minutes after my scheduled time. The second time I arrived ten minutes early, let them know I was there, and then waited until 20 minutes after my scheduled time before I walked out. Either this location overschedules and these other guys also had appointments that hadn't been called, or they take walk-ins over appointments and calling ahead doesn't do you any good. Either way, this place is garbage. Find a place that cares about your time!

I have gone here for awhile. When you can find somone good, get her name and ask for her again. Otherwise, you are bobbing for apples. On the less expensive end, you can opt for a teaching place like cost cutters or the $10 machine cut from someone claiming to be a butcher. Oops - barber. This shop isn't too bad. They just need some professional management. But then again, most younger people IMHO do not understand what customer service is all about.

Worst Floyds in Colorado. You better have an appointment. They will not cater to walk-ins. Week day mornings, afternoons, weekends. Doesn't matter. I'd rather deal with bad hairstylists than wait another minute on this place. This could be a great place if it weren't for lazy people and poor planning.

Since then I would never let another person touch me with a pair of shears. She's an amazing person first, and an awesome stylist to boot. Always open to new cuts and giving feedback on the latest styles, I would recommend her to new clients both young and old AND she trims my beard... awesome! Call the Longmont shop and ask for Lexi, no need to read more comments, no further questions.

I have had my hair chopped here for a couple years now, I finally got a repeat with one of the hairstylists and had to review. It can be hard for a guy to find a stylist that will truly try to give you a great haircut without relying on cuteness and flirting for a good tip and I have to say I love this place for the reason that they have always focused on a good cut first. Jenny C has truly given me my 2 greatest haircuts while being very professional and making me feel appreciated with good small talk and quick quality service.

Floyd's offers a pretty decent barbershop experience. The inside has a nice classic rock aesthetic but the playlist is more pop and the staff is friendly. As a man, come to Floyd's if you're looking for a modern hairstyle (emphasis on the top and front with shorter/fade on the back and sides) as it seems most of the staff's training leans toward that. However, BE WARNED. The scheduling at Floyd's is pretty tight so make sure you call and reserve ahead of time unless you want to wait +1 hour. (This is especially important if you want anything other than just a haircut) Pros: - Friendly staff - Hot towels available - Complimentary neck shave - Foosball table! - Responsible owner who cares about reviews Cons: - Tight scheduling (walk-in unfreindly) - No physical menu or prices present - Lack of seating (6 seats) and no seating outside Normally I would give Floyd's a 3 star rating. However, the fact that the owner cares enough to read and respond to these reviews is a pretty big plus for me and worthy of bumping up this review to 4 stars.

Hey Floyd's in Longmont, I'm a long time customer who usually get's his hair cut in FoCo. Tonight April contributed to possibly my worst experience: she felt rushed, rude, and unpleasant. Many times she snagged my hair with clippers and simply replied with an unapologetic "oops". To top it off, she hit me with her drying towel several times to clear off hair and shaving cream. Not a good time at all! Please reply to my review with how you plan to deal with this and I might consider coming back and improving your rating.

I took the recommendation from a friend to go there for a hair and beard cut. I cannot express how disappointed I am for doing so. I asked for a trim and to keep it on the longer side, she cut it short. My beard trim consisted of her grazing my beard with the clippers, using the clippers to shave a UNEVEN neckline ( no razor included) and a very stylish line cut into one side of my mustache. I will no longer speak to my friend anymore...

However when you have a client standing in front of you they should be acknowledged and taken care of as to waiting for the online appt ( that is late) to show up. So far I have never had a bad experience here and I hope to never really start lol. Although my hair cuts are pretty simple as I just get a buzz, from observing others and the rest of the staff I can say that they seem to want to give people what they want and take the time to ask questions about how they are feeling about the progression of their styling or cuts. Being either a walk in or from an appointment, I have never really had to wait longer than about 20 minutes from time in which is pretty good I think. The prices as far as I think are pretty decent as well with easy ways to pay and tip which is nice, as I don't need cash as older barbershops tend to deal in. My only real complaint which is more of an observation, is that the young girls tending to the front desk just really dont seem to care all that much and just kind of space out playing on their phones instead of paying attention to what else might be going on. I can't really fault them being an assumed minimum wage reception job without a whole lot of responsibility, but a little personality every now and then goes a long way as they are the first person someone deals with. The rest of the staff being the stylist and barbers are all really nice and friendly and strike up conversations as you're going on and even care enough to remember the last conversation you had when you were in before which is kind of nice being able to form at least a small bond with them.

First time at Floyds and will never go back. I came in with long hair and asked for an inch or so cut. I left with chunks of hair that barely hit my ear. The woman butchered my hair, there is no other term for it. It is completely uneven all over with random chunks that go to my shoulder and others that barely reach my ear. This is one of my first Google reviews but I was just so appalled at how horrible my haircut was. I felt like some of the other reviews that the woman could not care less about what it was she was doing. I realize I was only paying 25 for a haircut but I feel like I could have closed my eyes and taken scissors to my head and gotten the same results. Never again.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is apparently a Barber shop, but believe me when I say it’s the farthest thing from that. I’ve never written a review before, I’ve never complained about service even when it wasn’t the best, but the $30 hair cut & beard trim my fiancé received this afternoon was worse than terrible. So he has long hair about down to his shoulders and a beard that needed some trimming and clean lines. The “barber” started the cut by taking a razor and a hand full of his hair and chopping it, he continued to do this around the whole head. Then pretty much buzzed the whole thing never once putting any water or oils or anything at all. Then he went to the beard and same thing, he started using his razor on his completely dry face and neck. His whole neck is completely razor burned. When you look straight on at his face one side of his beard is shaved so far back his cheek and the other side is so far forward, it’s so extremely noticeably as well as how uneven he clipped the mustache. The top of his head was left jagged and uneven with legitimate strands of long hairs sticking up here and there. Through out the whole cut he dropped the razor and towels and continued to use them. And then at the end left a ton of trimmings all over the neck and eat and in the ears and down the shoulders. This was absolutely horrible and was worth not even $5 and we paid $30. Wish I could post pictures of how terrible. We just got home so I can try to fix it. When I called they offered us to come in and fix it for free, but after what we had left with there was no way we were EVER walking back in there.

Just move to Longmont and I have two teenage boys as well. We have three hairstyles that are completely different but all require a barber and two to three-week maintenance. It's very easy when you go into a barbershop with three people to find out the quality. All three of us got haircuts buy ladies that had no business being in a barbershop but a salon instead. It was full of gossip and nothing like a man's hangout place that they try to portray. When I told two of The Barbers what kind of hairstyle my boys wanted they didn't even know what they were and then when I asked to have my beard trimmed she gave me very insecure eyes and said she can put a guard on. If you want a place to take your little kids and give them haircuts this would be the place if you're looking for a place that has trendy haircuts, good barbers, a friendly environment, then this definitely is not the place for you because they hired hair salon people and not barbers. Now to find another place around Longmont that can actually give you a real haircut if your a guy and need a barber!

Was in a jam due to work schedule but called at 7pm with fingers crossed..was told I could get in at 7:45..sweet, on my way(I’m rural so it’s a 1/2 hr drive one way)..well, @ 8:15 I was still waiting with no signs of getting close (no hospitality/communication whatsoever)..so I let them know I was leaving (she said sorry), but that’s 1 1/2 hrs wasted for nothing..I mean I get it, ‘things’ happen with scheduling, but there was no evidence of ‘urgency’ whatsoever (except for closing duties) from what I observed..still giving 3 stars due to past experience and music..but the ball was dropped tonight!

First time, walk in. Able to get to me within 20 minutes. The decor is very modern, and the music was rockin (Bad Religion came on, I think I was sold at that point). Quite possibly the most intellectually stimulating conversation I've had in a long time with a hair stylist. The stylist was up on tech, stocks; etc.. Oh...and did I mention? I am THRiLLED with the cut. My wife is a licensed cosmetologist, and I hope she never reads this...every bit as thrilled as when she cuts it. Sometimes I have to go elsewhere due to timing, and this worked out perfectly. I will be back!

This is a good and bad review..... my son is super picky about his hair. Blow dries and styles it ever morning. He loves the front flip thing that’s really “in” right now. Usually we only go to one guy for his hair cuts, because seriously, this kid means business. This week must have been a busy week for our usual barber, because he didn’t have any openings. So I called up Floyd’s and set up an appointment. We have been here before, and the experience has always been ok, but this afternoon was sort of terrible. When my son walked up I noticed things looked patchy, and the top of his hair was kind of choppy. I thought that maybe with a shower it would remove the cut hair and lay right. So I paid and we headed home. After he showered I was a little shocked at how bad the cut was. I mean..... bad. So I called up Floyd’s and asked if there was anything they could do. (Ok that was the bad... now here’s the good) The lady on the phone got us in quickly and scheduled us with a different stylist, Kelli B. Kelli looked at my sons hair, discussed what needed to be done to save his front flip. Then took that seriously bad hair cut and turned it into a great one! The whole time she was working you could just tell she really enjoys her work. When I saw the finished product I even offered to pay again for it because she totally transformed the cut. So bad experience to good. I give her five stars, and we will be requesting her in the future.

She said this in front of my son. I do not want to be that person to write some nasty post, but I was just in shock of how I was treated. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever. Do not take your kids here unless you want to traumatize them. Our "barber" kept snapping at my special needs daughter to be still and complaining about how hard she was making it for her then she all but demanded (twice) I text my wife for her opinion. She kept saying she couldn't promise a good haircut and told me I was making it hard for her because she didn't want us to come back and complain. Once our daughter's hair dried it was obvious what a terrible job she did. I was so pissed at how unprofessional this "barber" was. Walk in had to wait a while but I was told it was better to make an appointment. I was called over by the manager and my new favorite stylist Lisa H. So now I call and to set an appointment and Lisa gives me a fantastic cut that I get complements and the price is worth it.

Walked in around 5:45 to get a cut and was told since I didn't have an appointment that it would be a 2 hr wait. I know I was a walk-in, but I've never had that happen to me at Floyd's in 6 years of going there. So now I'm sitting in my car looking at 5 females standing behind the front desk talking it up.............I'll just make sure I take my service elsewhere. Highly dissatisfying. Just went to the Great Clips a block away and got. Bomb haircut for $10 less FYI.

Getting my haircut is one of my most favorite things and this location happened to just ruin that whole experience. I don't know if it was an off day or what but I went in after work on a Wednesday because i just needed to get my haircut and I didn't have a chance to stop at my other barber louisville or the Floyd's in Lafayette. Since I have always had an amazing experience at the Floyd's in Lafayette,I thought it should be just fine... and it's just hair right? Well, I was wrong. The receptionist was nice enough but was a bit preoccupied on her phone. There were 2 females hairstylists there and the guy that ended up cutting my hair. I sat down I usually get a razor fade but since it was just a walk in appointment I didn't expect for them to have anyone available to do that type of cut, so I showed him a picture for reference and he starts buzzing my head.. fine right? No... not at all this dude is just roughing up my head... No rhyme or reason and it hurts. Does a hack job on everything, I had asked get my neck shaved and cleaned up... and it was the first time ever in 30 years I've ever gotten razor burn getting my hair cut! Barely used any lather and usually the use hot warm towels and he used a dry towel he picked up off the floor! Needless to say... I won't be back to this location again.
