Super hit or miss. You either get a great haircut or they completely mess it up. I had Neil twice.. the first time the haircut was good but he messed up trying to line up my beard and it was super lopsided. Second time I had him he completely messed up the haircut and gave me the worst hard-part I've ever seen... one of my friends even asked, "was he drunk when he cut that part?" Like I said, they are super hit or miss, you're better off going somewhere else. I won't be going back.

Normally a great place. Today I was in and out of her chair in 10 minutes. At $25 for 10 minutes and not a good cut ( how could it be in 10 minutes). That’s $150/hour. I went to the barber not the lawyer.

Absolutely awful, WORST haircut in my life. Wanted something new, asked the stylist for a low fade and to leave the top medium and messy. I ended up with the ugliest military fin haircut imaginable. And there's no hair left to "fix it". I am considering shaving my head it is so bad and am scared to go out.

I went in today on a recommendation from a friend that Kirk does an amazing job. I've been to Floyd's before and the three stylists I've had before did a great job, and I've always left thinking my money was well-spent. Kirk easily surpassed all of them. I got a crew cut which looked really sharp, but what put it over the top was the attention he paid to my beard and the shave. In the past, I've had stylists shave my neck, but Kirk also shaved around my beard, edged it out, put on a moisturizer, and dusted my face and neck with talc. For guys, this is the difference between going with a Floyd's stylist and a Floyd's barber. It's a completely different experience; Kirk knocked it out of the park. Remarkably, he did all of this at the same price I've always been charged at Floyd's. I've been in Denver for six years, and this is the best haircut I've ever had in town. Guys, go see Kirk.

I used to live nearby, but I travel from the DTC in order to have my hair cut and colored by Jessica. She is personable, polite, funny, and she always does an excellent job on my hair. They keep the shop clean, and everyone is nice and welcoming. Parking isn't super convenient, but there are a couple of spots in the 7-11 lot, and there is always street parking. I will keep coming back.

Worst experience ever, i walked in was told i had a 15 minute wait. Another senior citizen walked in and was told the same thing. 2. Minutes later 4 20 year olds walked in, said they had .No appointments but were called first. The other senior and i walked out. It's obvious Floyds has a bias towards senior citizens.

went in yesterday and got my hair cut by TAMMY. She continuously decided to tell me how dead my hair was as if i didnt know... Thats why i was getting it cut. I asked her for a face frame and she gave me face stairs. She said she had been cutting hair for 17 years and cant even do a face frame correct. Never have i ever had such a bad haircut for 30$. My first time going there was a horrible experience and i wont be going there again.

If I could give NO STARS I would. I sent my 13 year old son here for a hair cut before he started school and it was awful. so bad I ended up fixing it myself which defeated the purpose of a professional doing it. The stylist didn't blend it and pretty much was a bowl cut. He went back in for it to be fixed and just made it worse. She didn't even clean up his neck. Can't believe they let him walk out of there thinking it was acceptable.

Came in for a walk-in, gave my name and had a seat with a 5 minute quoted wait. A guy came in a few minutes after me also for a walk-in. After 5 minutes, he was helped and two of the four stylists then went on break. I got an “I’m sorry, we’re short staffed - you can wait another 20 minutes or make an appointment”. It’s alright, I won’t be back.

My favorite thing about my experience was he offered me suggestions on tweaking my style in a manner that didn't seem pushy and made me feel like he really cared how I liked my hair even after I would leave. I get consistently good cuts here for a fair price. I have had a few not-great cuts, but hair grows, and one was more that I was not specific enough about what I wanted. I love the shoulder massages, and the staff is great. I have used the same location for 5 years now. I love that I can call ahead to get on the list, orr book a specific time or staff online. Only drawback is parking. It just sucks at this location. You could try finding a spot for 10 minutes during lunch rush.

Disorganized and rude. Made an appointment for a color appointment and arrived on time. The receptionist didn't care that she had just made an appointment 30 minutes earlier. "Well the colorist has gone and there is no one to talk to". Glib and unapologetic, she called other salons to try and fix her mistake. I arrive to the downtown location and the stylest there does not listen at all to my wishes, even with a display photo in front of her. My "color" amounted to thin highlights and I left after being there for over 4 hours. 10/10 would not recommend

Why have an online appointment scheduling system if I have to wait 40 minutes to be told Andrew is running late?? If you are reading this please do not have to go back to work or have a dinner date.....you are going to be late. Check out my friends at 120th and Washington, it is more of a drive but you will probably save u yourself sometime. This Colfax location is a joke.

Really great place to get a haircut whether you walk in or make an appointment. Would highly recommend SoHo Salon over Floyd's barbershop with a better cut by the best stylists and barbers in Denver for men and Women. James is the bomb at SoHo, but can be really busy. Only go to Floyd's if you're in a pinch and want a good haircut for a more reasonable price. SoHo is where it's at!!

After my old hair stylist moved away from the Floyd's on Broadway, I decided to try out this Floyd's with a walk in last summer. I got ultra lucky because I got my hair cut by Jake L., who is a super star, and I've been getting my hair cut by her ever since. I consider her The Hair Whisperer because I can say just a few words and she knows exactly what I'm hoping for in a cut! She's even come up with unique cuts for me, such as "The Edgy Pixie!" :) She's very professional and a true artist, but she's also very friendly and laid back. Getting a cut with her is always a pleasure, and it's the reason I keep coming back to this Floyd's!

The service is amazing! The facilities are kept clean and well organized. The one amd only downside here as you'll find out if tou pay them a visit, is the parking. Give yourself plenty of time for parking the smaller streets off of Colfax around here are terrible and there is only about a dozen parking spots available for three very busy businesses in the same corner.

It is always a hit or miss. I appreciate the willingness to correct a stylist's work, but there is no reason that some of these people should be able to work in the industry. My son was left with no hair after the one side bowl cut and mullet chunks were fixed (their words). My husband asked for a tapered fade and stopped the guy trying to line him up. too late. Theres not enough hair left on top to fix either so now have to shave his head right before going out of town.

If I could give No Stars I would. This is the second time I've visited this particular location of Floyd's and it was worse than the first. I made an appointment in advance. When I arrived I was told there might be a 15 minute wait. 20 minutes goes by, 30 minutes goes by, it isn't looking good. I ask if they may be ready soon and the reception girl says "probably" with all the authority that a sixteen year old can use to assure me. It isn't enough to be made to wait for an appointment which was already on the books. What's worse is that I couldn't help but overhear the mundane conversation between the two female reception employees, neither of which had bothered to shower or comb their hair for the workday. Lovely. Does anyone train customer service anymore? The careless, incessant giggling over the phone, the apparent difficulty of juggling said phone with an actual person standing before her, the inability to fold a simple small hair towel without dragging it across her dirty shoe while she sits vulgarly open-legged while perched on a stool that she grates along the floor each time she scoots. Those are all things which can be changed and refined by requiring customer service of your employees. There was no apology for the wait, no attempt to provide me another stylist, and no real concern for retaining my business. Those are things which should be addressed and changed by a discerning manager. If this reception job is a stepping stone to greater things, I wish this poor girl luck because those dirty shoes are gonna take a lot more scrapes up the ladder if she ever wants to work somewhere with real expectations. Unfortunately I cannot review the haircut since I left after 40 minutes of waiting. Sad to think that some stylist lost their rate and their tip because of poor time management and bad customer service.

Great quality cut where the stylist will be very detail-oriented about the type of cut you want. Affordable for what I consider to be a more upper-scale barbershop. Make sure to call ahead and put your name on the list, and they'll give you an estimate of when to come in. If you walk-in, you're almost guaranteed a 30 minute wait minimum.

This was my second visit to a Floyd's Barbershop. I got the best haircut I can remember in a while here on Sat 12/3/16 (my second best was from my first visit to a Floyd's, the one on 11th and Broadway, two months prior). This place has such a great sensibility with barbers and stylists and front-desk staff that are always friendly and helpful. I like being able to book an appointment online, or on the day of being able to call and book as little as an hour ahead of time. Cody cut my hair on this visit. A really nice guy, easy and engaging to talk with (though I'm sure having many things in common helped there). I appreciated that he gave me just what I wanted, given that I didn't know specifically what I wanted when I sat down, and the guidance I gave him reflected that. I'm a stylish and a bit of a trendy guy (the gay gene from both parents), but I know I'm not 21 anymore, in fact for years, not even 51 anymore. However, Cody bridged the 30 year difference in our ages and managed to give me a haircut with a look that was almost hipster but without making it look like I was mutton with a lamb's sheer. I guess I'll be having fly back every couple of months now just to get my haircut. Thanks a lot, Cody!
