You will see the opinions of real people who are using the services of Floyd\'s 99 Barbershop (Castle Rock) (Barber Shop) in the state of Colorado.
Nowadays this business gets a score of 3.6 over 5 and this rating is based on 132 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an reviews average is really high, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the score is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to give their score when they are satisfied with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to give reviews when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Barber Shop is classified in the category of Hair salon.
1st time shame on you, 2nd time shame on me. This would be the 2nd time we have made an appointment for our son to get a haircut. Let me say he is under 3 so sitting still isnt easy, both times we waited nearly 20 minutes past our time to get called. I cant complain about the stylists because I understand cutting a kid who doesnt sit still easy, but the lack of customer service from the front staff is laughable. I suggest that you stop taking appointments if you cant keep them, or retrain your front staff what it means to have service.
Sonia is a great stylist!
It was mediocre service, they had no licensed barber on site for a shave , the hair stylist next to me kept hacking up a lung and admitted to having a bad cold or whatever disease. Don't recommend this place if you wanna look and feel sharp for a date or interview...
John M. Cut my hair. He did an awesome job, exactly what I was looking for! He had great customer service and will definitely be going back to him!
I have been coming to the Floyds Barbershop in Castle Rock for over 6 years, this shop has gone way down. I come in religiously every 2-3 weeks, most know me by name, and get the same haircut, pretty quick buzz.. Tonight was the last time that I'll go to this shop, the customer service coordinators aren't there to service the clients which is what this business needs. Clients to survive, told me, sorry we're not taking anyone else. Again 3 customers there, 4 employees.. 45 mins before closing. Well since the corrida the believes in "no service" so please read the reviews, this shop has taken a turn really badly... In the 6 yrs I've seen a ton of employee turn over, been on multiple different days and never been treated as horrible as tonight. I hope that the coordinator knows how much business he's turning away. Especially since the power of social media / word of mouth, knowing / contacting as many of my friends / acquaintances that usually go to this shop, we ALL will go some place else. Extreme caution if you do utilize this facility for your hair, look at other reviews since looking like some really bad issues.. Ouch, 2 times a month, that's $52 a month, which is $624 approx per year not including tips of business from 1 person alone, never returning to this shop.. OUCH...
After my first experience with Floyds 99 Barbershop I will NEVER go to another barbershop. I have had at least 6 different barbers since going there and I have yet to be disappointed. I will give a big shout out to Cocco! She is phenomenal! Best hair stylist in Castle Rock! I love Floyds!
This place is the worst barber shop and/ or business I have ever walked into. This is the third and final time I have gone there. I walk in there is one person waiting. I ask the kid at the register how long is the wait. He snidely replies as you can see not very long. I say just because there is not people sitting there does not account for appointments or call aheads. He assured me the wait will not be long. I sit there for 10 minutes and watch two stylists go on break or go to lunch at 1:30 in the afternoon, and proceed to see three other stylists congregate around the register on their phones and not dealing with what has become a line of six customers waiting for haircuts. I have noticed something else, it seems like there is a rather high turnover of stylists here. Needless find another place to get your hair needs taken care of.
Worst haircut i have ever recieved.
Awesome barber shop! Mark did an excellent job on my face and was very friendly. I also loved the Rock and roll decor. Made me feel right at home. I would highly recommend this barber shop
TERRIBLE customer service. I called earlier in the day to make an appointment for my son at 3:00 pm. Arrived at 2:58 and checked in with the receptionist. She said to have a seat, it would only be a minute. 15 minutes later, 6 other customers that arrived after us were all getting hair cuts and we were still waiting. I told the receptionist that we had an appointment at 3 and we’re still waiting. She didn’t have a clue what was going on and acted like I was a nuisance. Sat back down and waited another 5 minutes as more people walked in and we’re getting haircuts before us. Again told the receptionist that we had been waiting patiently since 3:00. Again acted like I was inconveniencing her by bringing that to her attention and told me it would be one more minute. Finally at 3:30, as I was standing up to leave they called my son’s name and was ready. What’s the point of making an appointment if they clearly don’t care. Will never come back to Floyd’s again.
When I was at Floyd's i told the barber "What ever you do do not i repeat do not cut the length." and what does he do, he cuts the length. #wortscutever
No wait for a woman's haircut. The stylist didn't cut my hair as requested. I had a picture and it was a simple cut, but he pretty much ignored what I said and did his own thing. The cut was done well and looks decent, but isn't "me." I'm not completely unsatisfied as my hair doesn't look terrible. I'm just disappointed and can't wait until it grow out a little bit. Other than that, customer service was good and environment was pleasant.
I like to get a buzz cut and beard trim literally the staff here suck. They can never seem to be able to do both. They are Absolutely rude. I was waiting on a friend to get a cut 30 minutes BEFORE they closed and heard them turning away people. There was no wait....i suppose they don't want to be here a minute past 6. That's not how you build clients. I've been to a number of Floyd's in the past and never have I been treated like this. I can honestly say I would rather go to other places where they actually care.
Mike H did an outstanding job cutting my hair. I recently moved here from Ohio and needed to find a new barber... I lucked out with Mike. He was very professional and you can tell he takes pride in his work. I will definitely be back and thank you for the new look my man!
Hair stylists don't do a good job of cutting hair even, some of them smell like cigarette s while cutting hair. Best thing about it is the walk in. No appt needed. Also, I tried 10 different stylist between me and my kids, still 80% chance is till be a bad haircut.
Shay gives the best haircuts!
I've been going to Floyd's for several years now, they're the only ones in town I would trust to cut my hair. I've gotten salon cuts for hundreds of dollars that don't compete. sometimes (literally like, 2 or three times in ten years) the wait can be 45 mins+ but if you care more about speed than how you look, this probably isn't the place for you anyway. Without a doubt the best place to get your hair cut in castle rock.
Checked in for my husband and two sons to get haircuts. Was told it'd be a 10 min wait. 45 mins later we were still waiting and no one even bothered to explain why or let us know it would be a while. After an hour or waiting and other customers being taken to chairs, we walked out and won't return.
This place sucks.. I made an appointment to have a haircut.. I specifically asked for a barber who can use the straight razor.. when I get there for the appointment they said they don't have anyone who knows how to use the straight razor.. I have an important event planned for the next day and needed the haircut.. no one should count on this place.. very disappointed..
I’ve been returning Costumer for some time now and I couldn’t complain at all it was a quality cut, friendly staff and nice place. but I stoped going there when I left Colorado and I recently returned and asked for a high fade and the gal cut my hair very poorly not the quality i return for and I did not notice how bad it was till later that night I’m going to have to get it fixed I’m very disappointed. I do not think I will be returning to Floyd’s.
In the area for a wedding and needed a haircut. First time to the Castle Rock Floyd's but not my first time to one. Staff very friendly and place extremely clean. A short wait and then in barber chair. Great job as always.
This is my first review I have ever written for any company. I started going to Floyds a few months ago. I have been working with Mike and it has been a wonderful experience. He worked with me to give me the perfect cut. I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair, if you are too go see Mike.
Barber turned my back to the mirror.. asked how I wanted my hair, yet he didn’t follow direction.. then ended up not fading one side of my head.. Went back to get it fixed, new barber made me feel as I was wasting their time.
My son and I have been going to Gabby at Floyd's 99 for about 2 years. She does great work. She is also very personable, talkative and funny. She cares about her clients, even buying me a card for my last birthday. I would highly recommend Gabby
John Miller is a great stylist/barber! If are looking for a new stylist/barber you should give him a try. Whether you are looking for a new style or a classic cut he make you look great every time! No one has cut my hair better.
Seriously awesome!!
Thought it would be a good place to get a color done... WRONG!!! She didn't even bring the book out to let me choose a color and she put two stipes of bleach on the sides when I specifically asked for all over color and caramel hightlights. It's now faded completely back to where it was when I went there and I called to have it fixed 8 days later and was told they only guarantee color for 7 days and that I would have to pay full price. STAY AWAY.
What’s the point in calling ahead if when I arrive you tell me oh calling ahead does nothing if people walk in and they’ll be in front of you. Why not tell me that when I call in? What a waste of my 30 minute drive from the foothills.
Been going to Floyd's for years, one of the best places in CR to actually get a 0 fade. Today I came in, placed my hand on my sons head and said WE would like a hair cut. Receptionist asked me for my name, I gave it to her. I was seated quickly and after I was done I called over my son. They said, "wait, his name wasn't on the list, would you like to put him on the list?" I said, I walked in and said WE need a haircut and put my hand on his head." I can't remember her exact words, but basically she stated that it really wasn't her problem that I didn't give her his name. SHE DIDN'T ASK FOR HIS NAME, and I guess I am just supposed to guess their rules and know that if I walk in with my son, with him standing right next to me, with my hand on his head, and say WE need a haircut that I better make damn sure that I give them his name because when they don't ask I am just supposed to read their minds and know that this is a rule that needs to be followed. What a crock, NEVER GOING BACK. If you are willing to deal with the staff, I recommend Hannah. She is great and will have a few extra openings each month now.
Have been going here for years, as the population of Castle Rock has grown, even the call ahead feature sometimes yields a pretty long wait. Best option is to call for an appointment early in the morning or days before you need a hair cut.
I love this. Here, I've had several different hairdressers and I have enjoyed talking with every single one of them. They make it haircutting experience a lot better than most commercial hair cutting places
Mike is the man, he cuts my hair exactly the way I want and makes me look great. I've been taking my son's and myself there for years and will continue to do so for a long time
Everyone is good.
Friendly, great service .color cuts are great.
I have been going there for the past 3 years. Always had a great experience and been happy with my haircut. Always been a huge fan of Floyd's services and this location is no exception.
I went there for probably 5 times only but I can tell you is one of the best service I ever get. Price...hummm very fair You get a pro service you may pay more but I will still going to this place..I feel so great after I get the full aervice,,,hair cut ,flash back, shoulders massage and a great conversation. Floyd's 99 that's my place. Jose B.
All of the staff are very professional and helpful. Came in for a bald fade fohawk AMD some serious lineup work and JAIME absolutely killed this haircut. AMAZING HANDS! I now have a barber shop to call home.
Every other haircut I get here is jacked up. Nice shave though.
Got a great haircut.
Great haircuts at a good price. The service I received was top notch. My barber John was very entertaining and professional.
A complete flip of the coin every time you go in. I went here consistently for over a year, and never had a good haircut twice in a row. Some of the artists in there know what their doing and take their time, but more often than not I walked out dissatisfied and ended up wearing a hat to cover choppy lines and uneven cuts. Id have been better off going to Sports clips and paying less for the same quality. Will not be coming back to this location, or any other Floyd’s
For $49 I expect a cut/trim/shave that Is board room appropriate and professional. I was incredibly disappointed by the quality of service received, and had to do damage control just to obtain a satisfactory professional look. Came in for a typical maintainence beard trim and haircut. Haircut went fine, but the beard trim went horrible and is the reason for this review. I asked for things to be evened out (I need to maintain a groomed appearenece), but upon inspecting the trim once I returned home I found many irregularities in length and some patchy parts that were not addressed. I have had my facial hair groomed by a decent amount of professionals, and none ever lacked attention to detail to the degree of the barber At Floyd's. Needless to say, I will not be trusting Floyd's in Castle Rock again for my grooming needs.
Always a wait. Even if you get here 5 minutes after opening.
Lots of turnover so it's hard to get the same barber every time. Hit or miss with getting a good cut from someone new
Apparently a fade is too complex of a haircut for this place. Had to go somewhere else to have my hair fixed right after I left.
I usually never had much of a problem, but came in for a 0 fade and left a little disappointed. When inspecting the cut in the shop, I didn't have my glasses on so it looked fine, but upon further inspection at home, the cut was pretty unsymmetrical and lazily done to be quite honest. It felt like it was just given up on halfway through. Won't likely return
Great haircuts and very gentle while cutting your hair
Ask for either Robert or Lexi and you will never be disappointed. I had been in earlier that day and couldn't wait for Robert, he was with another client, so I had someone else. They did a meh job and the more I looked at it later at home the more I hated it. I went back in almost at closing time and Lexi got me all fixed up at no charge. This is the first time I've ever had a problem, but I've always had Robert before :-) but they went through all the steps (willingly, sweetly, and caring) to make everything right for me
Have been going to this Floyd's pretty much since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Not all the stylists are consistently good, but some are excellent. Call ahead and put your name on the list to save some wait time.
Mike H was great. Took his time and made sure my cut and shave was perfect. I will definitely be back!
two gurls (lol) in the front are too busy texting each other. guess they forgot about me because i saw a few ppl get cuts that came in after me. WHAT A JOKE. glad i walked out
I see a lot of negative reviews on here but my first experience was excellent. I made an appt the night before I went in. I was greeted very well. I got in the chair right at my appt time. Robert cut my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted it. I never have had so much detail put in my cut before. I was thoroughly impressed with my entire visit. Thank you Robert for doing a great job
Wonderful, professional staff from reception to barbers and stylists. Shawna is fantastic with my 6 year old son and his cut is always on-spot with what we request.
Horrible place. Been getting my haircut the same way for a few years. Very simple classic cut. Shave the back and sides and then follow the same lines. Just make it shorter. How someone could screw the up with few snips with a pair of scissors is beyond my comprehension. They finished, I sat there waiting for my them to get done with my son. Guess what? Same thing, different person. We are now considering shaving our heads. It is the same vibe as a Sports Clips or a Great Clips just filled with wannabe hipsters. Trust. You will be better off waiting the week to get in at a real barber. Oh. BTW. I Called and said something to them. My concerns were dismissed with “well we are really busy right now, what do you want me to do about it” in a snotty tone I didn’t expect. Gave 2 stars because we did get in at our scheduled appointment time.
Floyd's rocks! Jamie is the BEST! Everyone here is super nice. BEST place to get a haircut in Colorado.
The service and environment were excellent, staff was friendly and inviting. Haircut looks amazing!
I went in at around 8:00pm and was sitting in a chair by 8:20. Gabby cut my hair and did a phenomenal job! I’m not very good at picking what I want done with my hair, as I usually just buzz it it myself. Gabby was happy to cut off a little at a time until I was happy with it. She did a great job and I will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!
Terrible customer service. The girl at the counter was so rude, we turned away and left. We had two kid cuts and one adult cut. Wasn't giving them my money.
Absolutely awesome shop. I'm a guy and I always want just a "normal men's haircut." Now, that of course is a broad and vague statement, mixed with just about every other man who wants the same thing. But that didn't stop this shop from doing a great job in giving me a nice look! This shop's prices, at least for a man, are on par with those of Cost Cutters, even with a few dollar tip. The difference? This shop has paramount customer service! They not only were attentitive to my haircut, but they also shaved - with save cream & shavette to boot - around the areas the electric razor misses. Furthermore, the barber kept up a conversation and demonstrated care for the customer. When I go somewhere, I expect to be their focus from the moment I walk in. They met that mark... I highly, highly recommend this shop, especially to men since that was the viewpoint of my experience. If you're a demanding person like me, trust me you won't be disappointed!
Alissa and Devin are great! My fiance and kids all get their hair cut here. We did have one bad experience with a different girl but have had great service with alissa and Devin! No complaints! Friendly staff who listen and treat the kids great too!!
Love this place staff is friendly warm and knows your name.Gabi is an unbelievable hairstylist would never to go to anyone else.
John Miller is great at his craft, he is well diversified, personable and meticulous, I highly recommend using his services when visiting Floyd's
I have come to floyds for many years this location about 5 times I walked in today with a nice greeting .... "what do you need?" Then I sit in the not busy salon and see 6 people get up before me for a hair cut, plenty of empty chairs!!! The young man receptionist Is very disrespectful and the salon needs a MANAGER with leadership and customer service skills!
Went in asking for a BARBER, they sat me with a hiar stylist that doesn't know ethnic hair.
If you get stuck with the chubby guy with red hair, ask for another hairstylist or leave. This guy half-asses his haircuts and you'll have to come in again and get it fixed. Otherwise you should be fine. Just steer away from that one guy!
My son and I waited 45 minutes, as a walk ins... didn’t look very busy when we first arrived but after 7 people arriving after us and 45 minutes later I got frustrated for the girl up front to tell Me the 4 people also waiting (who All arrived after us) were still before us due to ‘call aheads’ no big deal I know we walked in without an appointment but instead of us waiting an hour before leaving without a hair cut a simple “hey you’re 12 people down in line, or everyone booked with appointments for the next hour, maybe you want to book something for tomorrow” would have been fantastic. Instead I’ll just across the street to sports clips from now on where they had way less staff and gave me a heads up on the 10 minute wait
Always a good meal!
The barber I was with was a bit rough with the haircut, but he sure did a darn fine job!
Amazing amazing amazing!!! Very busy but well worth it.. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable! You can trust them with your hair!!
These people get it right every time. I know they are more expensive, but its for a reason. They only hire seasoned professionals. Been going there for a year now, and I have yet to get a bad haircut. 5 Stars :D
Always a good cut
Thanks, Sonya, my son looks great and he's ready to rock his first day of middle school!
I went there in Dec and was not totally happy with my haircut. I think the guy was just having an off day to be honest. But Megan the assistant manager went out of her way to contact me and fix the situation. She gave me one of the best haircuts I have had in a really really long time and also was extremely nice and friendly. Actually the entire staff was nice and friendly. I had my daughter hanging out with me while I got my haircut and they were all very super friendly to her as well. Without hesitation I recommend anybody to go there to get a haircut and also especially to ask for Megan the Assistant manager to cut their hair because she is awesome.
It's a barber shop and no one there can do a razor fade? Greeted very rudely by the counter girl. Will never go back.
This has been my regular place for years. Mickey used to cut my hair, then Sonya took over when he left. I’ve never been dissatisfied. In fact, when I’m traveling and have to go to other shops that butcher my hair, Sonya has been there to rescue it every time. Great people, awesome vibe. The only complaint I’ve ever had is with the parents of unruly, obnoxiously loud children with ear-shattering screeches that go on for a half hour (which isn’t Floyd’s fault at all). Seriously, don’t be -that- parent✌️
I went in for a low skin fade with a size 3 up top. I left with an unblended fade. I could visibly see each layer. The top wasn’t close to being even in length. I left and immediately went to another barbershop to fix my hair.
Tiffany is the best.
Floyd's has been my place to go for many years. The last few cuts have not been very good. Today was likely my son and my last visit. I started going to Floyds because it was a quality cut not like I get at Great Clips or Fantastic Sam's. Not any more, Its a crappy hair cut at a high price with sub par service.
Got a great new haircut - the stylists are pros at men's AND women's cuts and coloring. The shoulder massage at the end was the bomb!
This place is a flaming dumpster fire
called in at 10:30am and was informed they would be ready for me at 10:50. Got to the shop at 10:45 and it’s currently 11:30 and I’m still waiting. I’ve seen multiple people walk in who got sat right away. Don’t call ahead...waste of time with a very uncoordinated system. Super disappointed.
Great haircut! I love the back massage and neck shave too! Great stylists, clean, inviting environment.
I normally recommend Floyd's, and will in the future. This was my second time visiting this location and the first experience was great, but my second visit was not. Robert took me and first impression was not great. He was sitting on his phone, and when I asked how his day was going he mentioned how it has been dragging on. He wasn't very friendly, dropped a lot of f bombs, and gave me an uneven haircut that needs to be fixed. Will shop around.
Montana was awesome! I will make it a point to stop next time I am in town and need a great haircut.
Horrible place to get a haircut. The worst I've ever had in my life. Don't go here.
Always great at Floyd's!
This place is not a Barber Shop.. Not by a long shot. This is a Hair Salon. The majority of stylists that work here are women who do not possess a barbers license and have their training and experience in cosmetology, and working in salons. This place is super corporate and designed to look more like a tattoo shop. Its basically a Supercuts or Hair Cuttery or similar that has been decorated to look like a tattoo shop. The personal feel you get at a real barber shop is not there, and neither is the quality. They charged me $22 for a $12 haircut.. Save your money and find a real barber shop somewhere in Denver.
Robert is the best stylist there...do not go to anyone else, so be sure to make an appointment with him!
Robert is an outstanding barber, I have never left with a hair cut I wasn't totally stoked with. He's also incredibly friendly and always makes my trip a delight. I refuse to see any other barber and make the trip to castle rock just for him. Floyd's 99 always has a welcoming and chill environment as well. I recommend them to all of my friends.
*****great cut and great service for appropriate price***** I came to Floyd’s needing a last minute cut before flying out of Denver after visiting my parents. I am active duty military and I’m used to having my head butchered for $7. I was pleasantly surprised at how good someone can make my hair look for $24. Well worth the price! The service was great, my stylist was super friendly and helpful with recommendations (if you don’t know exactly what you want they help you out quite a bit). I couldn’t walk away without making sure she got the tip she deserved. I wish I lived here so I could go more often. If you’re a guy and want to treat yourself on a birthday,Father’s Day, or any day that you want to look your best, Floyd’s is the way to go!
Well that's 3 strikes. Time for a new barbershop! Love the barber I've had for a couple years now, but the management can never schedule me and won't do next day reservations. I work thank you very much!! Even when I do make a reservation they always seem to double book on my appointment. See ya later!
I've been going to this Floyd's for over 5 years now. I've got a really tuff head to cut with cowlicks (sp?) and thin hair that can only be cut so much before it sticks up all the time. Debbie B is the best, though! She can tame the mane like no one else! Bravo!!!!
Place has some style but to me it's very similar to Sports Clips. It has a niche, but the skill level is lacking. My "cut" is a 1-size-fits-all buzz cut with the clippers, that's it. I could do it myself but sometimes I'd like to just sit there and let someone else take care of business. Give me an old-time barber that knows how to use the tools any day.
Jamie K. Does the best shaves, and cuts. I always get a consistent quality haircut.
Difficult to get an Appt. Mail Box is always full!
Very friendly and kind place The Stylist introduce themselves shake your hand as they escort you to your seat very friendly and awesome atmosphere with some decent music plan and an awesome wall to look at
Floyd's 99 at Castle Rock has been a great experience for me and my boys. Skylar is amazing...see her if you are looking for someone new!
The service here isn’t very friendly. They consistently have employees sitting around not taking customers when there are several people waiting. Even making an appointment it took 20 mins past my appointment time to get in.
Great people and service
