First time here. Found the place very clean and the staff very accommodating. Got a haircut and beard trim, the barber was helpful and did a very nice job. Would of liked a little smelly water and grease but it was well worth the trip.

This was a wonderful find. Gentlemen. If you are looking for a great place that has old world barber charm at a great price this is it! The haircut was spot on. Absolutely no issues. They listen precisely to what I had to say. It was clean. The classic elements like a hot towel and straight razor clean up are fantastic! And as an added bonus you can combo you hair cut and a classic straight shave for under forty dollars! Super impressed! This is my new barber. I would tell anyone to go. Most my friends now go and we love it!

My husband just got a haircut from here and it was great! He was a walk-in and the lady got to him within 10 min. He got a skin fade and she was finished with 20 min. She did a fantastic job! He’s gonna be a regular.

I thought I'd try them so I called right at 9:00 AM when they opened to try to make an appointment for later in the day. A person answered, then immediately hung up on me so I called back. This time a robot voice said, "hello" and then it started playing on hold music. I waited eight minutes before hanging up and trying again. The third time I get a Verizon error message 600 that said, "Your call cannot be completed as dialed, as the called party is busy." It is very difficult to make an appointment for a haircut if they refuse to stoop to the level of answering their phones. :-( Still looking for a good barbershop.

My wife hates my beard and calls it all kinds of names. I have been looking around for a old style barber shop to trim my beard. As it took me well over 8 months to grow my scraggly beard I was kind of particular who would trim it. So glad I came across Famous American Barber. Su immediately greeted me as I entered and gave me a great haircut and beard trimming. I am very pleased with the beard trimming and haircut and I would highly recommend Su and her Barbershop. Best part is the wife loves it!

Great haircut for a great price. The two women that run this place are a delight. Very friendly and very fast. They'll even let you sit there quietly if you don't like talking. Don't waste your time at the big haircut chains nearby like Sport Clips where they hire slow, amateur folks who don't know what they're doing. This is the place to go.

Came here on short notice. I have a regular barber in Denver who is amazing and it was really scary going to someone I didn't know. But they did a fantastic job and took the time to make me look good. Will definitely go back if I need a haircut in the springs.

I took my son to this barber shop today and I'm so glad that I did. We have been in Colorado Springs for about a year now and every single barber I've tried for my son has not given a haircut that I've been satisfied with. Cant cut ladies hair...let alone a trim. Results were Uneven cut and it was cut dry. $20. Had to go to another place to get it corrected.

I've been living in this area and decided to give this place a try a couple months ago. Every time I purchased a haircut (different person each time), the cut was exactly what I wanted. Cost was cheap for the kind of cut I got. I wasn't waiting long and the cut didn't take that long either. Staff is super friendly and nice! Highly recommend.

All of the ladies that work here are very polite and knowledgeable. However, most of them seemed very rushed and will sometimes forget to blend in with my beard or to touch-up my neck line. Most days there isn't a wait, and if there is, it's a very short one. They usually keep the shop very clean and it has a nice vibe inside as well.

I had the privilege of working with Angie who did an amazing job. Typically, I find a barber with a stranglehold on the clippers, but I don't think I felt the blades press against my head once, and I wasn't sure I was even getting my hair cut until I looked in the mirror. I love getting a straight edge shave along the neck. If I didn't live in another state, I would be back again for sure.

Awesome little place to get a quality haircut. I typically go to salons for my haircuts but I gave this place a shot. I was not disappointed. Su was the barber. We chatted up front about the cut I wanted, looked at a few photos, and off we went. Su took her time and the haircut looks great. Two big TVs in the corner made it a conversation optional experience. I probably only waited ten minutes without an appointment. I think my cut was around $15 or so. Great quality. Totally recommend.

I'm new to town and decided to try out this place based on location/convenience and overall good reviews. Very clean store with friendly staff. I'm Asian and I've found that other Asians tend to understand my very straight hair and how to cut it better than others. I was glad to see there were some Asian barbers there! Lisa cut my hair; she did a great job. I also like that they end with a straight edge shave of the back of the neck and a hot towel. If active duty military, they provide a discount too.
