I give this place 3 stars because my first time was the best experience I ever had, so great that I didn't get another haircut until I visited Lakewood again. However, my second cut was half as great, why? (Hair was cut by an older heavy set guy, very little hair and long full beard) One half of my fade was spot on, the other half was done by Hellen Keller. Told him several times to go shorter only to leave in frustration and went to another shop to have it fixed. I would give it another chance only because of the first experience, but that day my haircut cost me $60.

I have been tattooed by Norman Demorte several times. He does exquisite , custom lettering . He’s very professional and has been tattooing for 15 years ! I love going to him because he takes his time with his clients and doesn’t rush. He’s also pretty light handed which is nice. Also the shop is is very clean and everyone is very nice and the atmosphere is very chill and inviting !

I visited Crisp for a haircut on a recommendation from a buddy. It was a busy Friday afternoon but I was able to get an appointment. The barber I made my appointment called the store about 15 min after my scheduled time and said he wouldn't be there. If not for the friendliness and professionalism of the staff I would have likley walked out. They offered to get me in before any of the other walk ins that were there and I ended up getting a chair about 40m after my appointment time, with Sierra. I have been going back for about six months now and have had nothing but excellent service and dope haircuts. Thanks.

Great haircuts, but not good enough to deal with their crap. Appointments mean nothing at Crisp. The first time I was delayed by 45 minutes, the second was 30 and today they just decided not to show up. The guy next to me even drove from Aspen and nobody told either of us our appointments were cancelled. I was pawned off on someone else and after waiting a half an hour I just decided to be done with the place. Don't take appointments if you can't keep them.

After my second bad experience I would not recommend this place to anyone. First time I got my hair cut here, I don’t recall who cut my hair, but I asked her for a taper fade and she gave me a high and tight military cut. I wanted to give them a second shot because they seemed to be busy when I went in and I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt with the stylist that gave me a cut last time. Well I scheduled an appointment online for a 12:55 appointment. I arrived right on time and was told Joey should be there soon. I waited till about 1:20 and left. What’s the point of booking appointments if you’re not going to show up?

Mr hill will always give you a perfect cut.! On the other hand i schedule an appointment with joey( owner of crisp in lakewood) for 4/20/19 at 10 am. I show up and was told he don't work in lakewood on Saturdays when he never made that clear to me. I then go searching for this shop owner and he's not found in his Other location (38th and tennyson) i wait 45 min and he still doesn't show. Very disappointed!!

I had such a great experience here and I think I have actually found a barbershop that I want to really cultivate a regular relationship with! The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and stylish, and the hairstylists are all so friendly (and handsome! ;) my cut was done by Joey, who did an incredibly precise job on my chevron-design side shave. We also had a great conversation. These guys are terrific. From now on I'm not going anywhere else.

WOW!!! I am so happy and incredibly impressed with Kota at Crisp. She was able to work me into her schedule and provide some back and forth on the design in a super timely manner. The shop itself is a nice big open space and comfortable. Kota was such a pleasure to be tattooed by, she's a great conversationalist and knows what she is doing. Look at these hella fine lines! I absolutely cannot wait to get more work done by her. Plus the whole concept, barber/tattoo parlor, is pretty cool! Come in the back or walk through the barber shop to get to that tattoo area.

30 for a fade. I didn't noticed before I left but I had a bunch of long hairs in the back. It wasn't really done well all together. Ive had better cuts from sports clips that's bad and for this cost $30 I definitely ain't going to be going back there. They were fast and very welcoming though.

I got a tattoo from the lovely Kota and I would HIGHLY recommend her work to anyone! I'm super happy with the finished product. The tattoo parlor is located behind the barber shop and is super neat and clean. Great place!

Scheduled an appointment, received 3 confirmations. No one was there on the day or time scheduled. It could be a bad scheduling program they're using but it's still beyond unprofessional. Save your time and go somewhere else.

A real barbershop. I went for quick beard trim, and got hooked up. Straight razors and they know proper facial hair cutting. Even have espn. I'll be back for every trim. Highly recommend this shop.

Worst haircut I've ever had. Uneven, poor fade, longer top sides than top of head.It's so bad I may actually just buzz my head now. He was a very nice kid but gave me a horrible haircut. To top it off, I went to pay at the end and he told me they only accept cash. No credit cards or checks. There is an ATM close by but there is a surcharge of course.

The rest of the shop is fantastic except for a new tattoo artist Ben Dean. I have an unfinished tattoo he started and didn't finish. It's not what I wanted because he let me (as an underage person) drink to "help" with the tattoo pain and nerves before we started the tattoo design. He at one point offered to pay for me to finish or have it taken off my body but when I seriously took him up for he it took it back. He should never ever be tattooing anyone.

I saw Rebecca's great reviews online and so I scheduled a cut with her. She lived up to the hype. I have been going to her weekly since then. Gotta keep the bald fade looking fresh.

I suck with remember names but the gentleman who perfected my cut was awesome (he had a single tat on his right forearm).

I searched my area for places that do beard trimmings and this was only about a mile from my house. I've been tired of going to the chain salons that don't really take their time, so decided to give this actual barbershop a try. I walked in around lunchtime just to see if I needed to make an appointment or not, and Vicky was quick to greet me and asked if I had an appointment. I told her I didn't, and she said she could take me right now. I did not really have much of an idea of what I wanted, so I let Vicky use her best judgement, and I am completely happy with the outcome! She really took her time throughout the whole process and it really showed in the end result. I don't think I can ever go to another hair salon after my experience here. Even the price is not as much as someplace like an Aveda Salon.

Crisp is the genuine throwback of what I remember as a kid. The intimate setting and classic feel is second to none. The barbers are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and can help bring any style or idea to life. Trust me, if you can imagine it, they can make it happen. It may be a bit intimidating to women if they are not used to a true Barber Shop, but the employees are more than respectful when in the presence of women and kids. My girlfriend often joins me in the shop and has no issue with the topics and demeanor displayed by the staff and clientele...not to mention I've seen women getting haircuts there, too! I recommend this shop to anyone browsing this review and looking for a new shop with good barbers. Keep up the good work, Dane, Joey, Louie, and Mac!

I was a regular at the predecessor shop and I'm a much more enthusiastic regular now. The energy and vibe are way better than previously, and the barbers have a sense of humor and a gracious sense of making customers happy. I take my 3 year old son there, and my wife likes the place too and takes him there on her own when our haircuts aren't in sync schedule-wise. First time I've felt real loyalty to a barbershop, but I think it warrants it. Well done.

This review is for Norman DeMorte. I've gotten several tattoos from Norman when he was in FL a few years ago. Norm does top shelf work. He has wicked clean linework, is patient, and knows what will work for your piece and placement. He also has a delicate hand while he's working. His attitude is awesome. His lettering work is unreal, can't be beat. I'm actually considering flying out to CO from NH to get some more work done. If you're local and want some ink, do not hesitate to book Norman.

My experience was great. I was running a bit behind my scheduled appointment and he was understanding and accommodating. The place had a good old barber feel like the one you went to as kid. I enjoyed the conversation I had with Joey, A real nice guy who took pride in what he was doing and was very attentive to both my self and my 3 year old. This shop caters to the tatted hipster, biker, skateboarder, drifter, gangster crowd. If this is your crowd you're welcome to it. The manager/owner not charming, atmosphere stark, obsolete premises. I wonder if they've fixed the door yet. If you make an appointment, good luck. You might be next but that'll have to wait until the barber's done with the customer he seated two minutes before your appointment.

Crisp Tattoo Parlor has a very clean and comfortable atmosphere. Exactly what you would expect from a quality tattoo shop. I received my new ink from Kota and would highly recommend her to anyone. We've been taking our son (he's 3) to see Hilary for a little under 2 years. Even though we moved farther away, we still make the effort to come here. Sure, we could take our son to some kiddy cut place, but he gets such an awesome cut every. single. time. that I wouldn't trust any place else. Booked an appointment with Joey online for my son that just had open heart surgery a week ago. Called at 10am to confirm the he appointment scheduled for 11:45 and let them know my son had surgery, we arrive 5 minutes early ... after 15-20 mins past the scheduled time one of the other barbers offers to do the appointment since Joey is running late and we say we will wait.. 10 more mins go by Joey let’s us know his previous appointment was running late and he will be another 15 mins before he is ready and offers another person to do the appointment so we agree. In the meantime another Customer leaves and Joey is teaching a girl how to cut hair on his client. This is the 3rd time this has happened to my family and for me being in the same type of industry and witnessing such an unorganized ran business it’s frustrating. Joey should of told his previous client he would have to re-book or wait or compensated my sons service (or at least that’s what I would of done with at my salon). I have a feeling unless you are a friend of Joey’s or a sports player you don’t get a “true appointment” with him he pushes you to another barber. On the hunt for a good barber and business... people schedule appointments with whom they want to see for a reason!!!!!

I'm so happy that I finally gave this place a try. It's hard to find a barber shop that also does women's hair and I've never felt comfortable in a salon. They got me in 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment and Casey did such an amazing job with my hair. I've never had anyone provide such great service and attention to detail as she did. She didn't try to rush through the appointment just to get to the next one. She was amazing and I left with an awesome haircut, feeling great.
