I stumbled upon Aflani’s Barbershop while checking out Capitol Hill. I am new to Denver and wasn’t sure whether I would be able to get an appointment the same day since it had amazing reviews. Sent my fiancé here to get his haircut yesterday with one month to go before the wedding. I can't even look at him, his haircut is so bad. What a terrible mistake. He showed the barber a picture of his last haircut and asked for the same. In some twisted turn of fate (or possibly malice?) the barber gave him some kind of buzz cut all over his head except the floppy top. And the rat tail. I kid you not. On an attorney. The barber didn't show him the back, so he brushed it off when his paralegal told him he had a "really long piece". When he got home, I laughed as I braided a 4 inch chunk hanging down the back, so that he could be a Jedi. I would have had him go back and get it fixed, but he would have probably ended up bald, so I fixed it myself. His hair grows fast, but I fear that our wedding pictures will be ruined forever thanks to one barber's complete incompetence.

Excellent barber shop. My hair was long, messy, and ugly. Abraham helped me out, explained I had been parting my hair opposite the direction it naturally wanted to follow. He said this was speeding my balding and that by parting it the other way I wouldn't be pulling the roots of my hair opposite the direction they wanted to grow in. Also gave me an excellent fade and advice on which products to use. A little more expensive than my hometown barber, but well worth it. Abraham seemed to care more about his customers than any barber ive ever been to. If I wasn't just passing through I would become a regular here. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a cut.

I have been going to Arthur since before he even opened Alfani's (when he worked for another company). So I am one of Alfani's original customers. Arthur has been cutting my hair for about 10 years. His prices are totally reasonable. But that is not the only reason to see Arthur (or any one of his colleagues): They simply do a great job. Added bonus: The shop is in a cool location on Colfax (pick up some Voodoo Doughnut or Ice Cream Riot after your cut) and the clientele includes lots of longtime regulars. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming. It's got a nice, neighborhood vibe spiked with Arthur's New York background. It's a one of a kind place and it's people like Arthur - and businesses like Alfani's - that make a city special.

I was referred to Alfanis Barber Shop by a friend of mine who had gotten a cut a few days prior. My first experience was nothing short of excellent. I called in a day earlier and set an appointment with Avi. A young professional in the truest sense. He has the formal education as a barber as well as the character skills of a lifetime professional. Patient, honest, and careful. He took the time to fully understand the look I was hoping to achieve as we spoke about lengths, shape, and the problem spot on my head that trips up most barbers. The end result? Better than I could’ve dreamed of. My second experience was today; three weeks after my first visit. Called in this morning and set another appointment with Avi. Halfway through my cut, a vagrant came into the shop and started to cause a disturbance. The barbers in the shop handled the situation quickly, respectfully, and discretely as I had hardly noticed any commotion until it was over. The man was ushered outside without incident. Their concern being the safety of their customers and integrity of their workspace. My experience in the shop today, as well as another phenomenal hair cut by Avi, further cements my belief that this is the premier barber shop in Denver. Thank you again, Avi!

Took my son to Alfani’s barbershop for the first time and had the most amazing experience!!!! The place is clean and newly remodeled. The atmosphere is kid friendly and the staff is top notch. Arthur cut my sons hair with precision and care. The supplies used were properly disinfected and were very clean. He is very patient and works quickly and efficiently. I was a walk in 20 mins before closing time and Arthur stayed late just for us even though this was our first time and we didn’t have an appointment. The hair cut was straight and looked really good unlike great clips which kept messing up the back and could not get it straight. I would very much recommend Alfani’s barbershop and Master Barber Arthur. We will definitely be using him for all our haircuts.

I got a straight razor shave, which was a pleasant experience. However, the shave itself wasn't very good. The barber was touting how straight razors are better than cartridge, and gave me a worse shave than I could give myself with a cartridge. He should be ashamed. The barber didn't seem to go against the grain, so it wasn't a smooth shave, and missed a few areas on my neck. It's also my understanding an experienced straight razor shaver shouldn't nick the skin, yet he caused quite a few bleeds. His excuse was that I have very soft skin. So, I paid over $40 for an okay haircut and not a very smooth shave. Completely over priced. Still, pleasant experience, but I won't be going there again.

First, Arthur and David provide consistent, quality haircuts. After nearly three years of monthly cuts, I have always left Alfanis feeling confident and and content. Second, the barbers have you out the door at an impressive "clip' (pun intended). Not only do Arthur and David ensure that you are seen at your scheduled time, but they also don't mess around when it comes to their work. Even on busy weekdays, I have yet to spend more than 30 minutes inside their shop. Third, Arthur and David are good people. Between their genuine care for customers and witty conversations, the two have created a comfortable and enjoyable place to get a haircut.

After having serval haircuts that were less than impressive from my usual place, I decided to try somewhere new. I looked for a barbershop near me and noticed Alfanis was just down the street, so I called ahead to see if they had any last minute openings. They were able to get me in about 15 minutes after I called which gave me just enough time to walk over. Abraham greeted me politely as I walked in and we discussed what I wanted. I ultimately told him to do what he think looked best. By far the best haircut I’ve had in a very long time. Abraham had a very close attention to detail and was sure to explain what he was doing throughout the cut. I also had him trim and shape my beard and he did a great job with that as well. Prices are comparable, service is mediocre at best. The barber I had A) didn't listen to what I wanted and then B) proceeded to screw up my haircut so bad that the next time I went to a barbshop (floyd 99's on colfax) the barber literally said "who tf did your hair" I have a part in my hair, and somehow the Alfani's barber managed to leave a 4 inch long strip of hair that was 1 inch longer than any other hair on my head. Not going back to Alfani's again.

I recently went to Alfanis and got my hair cut and a beard trim. Very nice people, clean shop and a great hair cut. I recently retired from the military and have had my fair share of cheap cuts where you would think the person that cut your hair was cross eyed but that was not the case here. I'm not use to paying $20 for a hair cut but it was well worth it. I always look to my wife to tell me how good it is. When I met up with her I asked how it looks and she said one of the best hair cuts you have ever had. That says a lot to me. I only write reviews if something is really good or really bad and in this case the best. I will be getting my hair cut there again.

They really care about making you look your best. I went when they weren't busy at all, and in the middle of my haircut, another barber who was free came over and was giving advice about my hairstyle and how to improve it. The two (my barber and the other guy) were even discussing back and forth with me about different things that I could do. Came out looking really sharp. I definitely will be recommending this place to everyone. Fairly inexpensive (was $23 for a men's cut when I went). The barbers were also a lot of fun to talk to. Good guys.

Been there two times since I moved here. What a great experience. Not only do they take their time and do it right, they also have that old time barber feel. Straight Edge Razor and warm shaving cream and a hot towel. Abo did a great job both times and can't beat the place for the price as well. That's while I will be back, value, service, quality.

Best haircut I've had. Ibrahim showed me how he uses geometry with his comb when he cuts hair, no joke. Very close attention to detail and I feel like I got the perfect haircut. They're also very friendly and I liked the laid back atmosphere. Will come back again.

Haircut was pretty mediocre for $23, and customer service was terrible. I made an appointment for 11am and still had to wait half an hour because of some sort of booking mistake on their end. Once I finally got in the chair, the old guy who cut my hair spent the entire time chastising me for changing the way I part my hair since it was "making me go bald". A quick search on Google confirmed that's not a real thing; incidentally, most information suggests the opposite is true. The guy also repeatedly left me sitting in the chair for 5 mins to talk to the other barber at the counter or just disappear. If you value professionalism from your barber, pay a little extra and avoid this place.

I have been going to Alfanis for 7 years and will never go to another hair stying/barbershop in town! I have never had a problem getting an appointment or a cut, even if I walked in. I love the way Arthur cuts hair, it is with precision and you don't even have to tell him what you like, it is like he already knows what will look good and does an amazing job at doing so. The staff are courteous, the shop cool and if you are looking for a GREAT cut, do not miss going to Alfanis!! I went to another salon once when I was in a hurry and out of town and HATED MY HAIR FOR A MONTH until it grew out and I was able to have it cut by Arthur again. Nobody touches my hair but him, great job Alfanis.

These are some of the best barbers I have ever had and I am extremely picky with barbers. I moved to Denver from WI and only had one barber back home and these guys at Alfanis will be the barbers I go to as long as I live in CO.
