Joe Banno does a superb job. I've gone to him on three separate occasions and his demeanor is both professional and casual. He is a man of refreshing candor and provides you with comfort and a fresh hair cut. The ambience of shop makes you feel right at home and delivers an experience far beyond the norm of the average hair cut. 10/10 would go recommend to all my friends

First off I gotta say smoking a backwood and drinking a beer in a barber shop is STRAIGHT! But the guy who edged me up ($10) and cut my brothers hair ($40) did not meet my expectations what so ever. I can get a better cut in the projects for 15 bucks.

Joe gave me an awesome cut and beard trim! He's so chill and really takes his time to do things right. It's a little pricey here compared to my home in Philly, but one of the most reasonably priced in this area. For $60, you're getting a slick, careful cut, beard trim, shave, hot towel treatment, and neck massage. They just don't have these old school yet totally chill barber shops like this back home! Definitely coming back in for a cut every time I'm in town. Thanks Joe!

Amazing! Been going here exclusively for about a year. Joe is the homie! I'm a Venice local and I was transitioning from long to short hair (guy) and I had no idea what would look good with my head and hair shape. I gave Joe a few clues and bits of what little I understood about my hair, and he gave me an amazing cut I didn't know I wanted. Highly recommend, the barbers (especially Joe) actually know their stuff about good haircuts and will give you your money's worth, so it's good for locals as well as tourists. Plus they give you a beer while you're in the chair. Can't complain!

I have never had such a good hair cut. What a good experience. When I was getting my face shaved, they put about 4 different preshaves and aftershaves, and I swear my skin was going to be irritated. Nothing at all, perfect after the shave and the next morning. BEST SHAVE OF MY LIFE!

Precisely the barbershop I was looking for. Good ol' hip-hop classics in the loudspeakers and a beer in your hand while cutting you. My barber put time into cutting my hair (1h30min), which had grown long, and did it with passion. Only good vibes.

This was my first barbershop visit since I've been in the LA area. Benjamin, the owner and barber was a master at his craft and gave me the fresh fade I've been looking for not to mention the straight edge razor with shaving cream beard line up as well. Taking it way back with the free-to-play street fighter arcade game and relaxed environment I think I found my go to, you should definitely check it out.

2 weeks after I moved to LA, I needed a haircut. On a whim I walked in to the shop and got a high and tight cut from Eddie. He took his time and the effort was worth it. I had never had a haircut I was so happy with. Cut to 2 months later and I need another haircut. I walk in to the shop but Eddie isn't there. Joe was there though, so I took a chance with him. 2 years later and I consistently return to the shop to get a cut from Joe. This guy knows what he is doing. I've had short hair that needed shaping and currently have long curly hair that he cleaned up and styled just yesterday. It seems the shop has a set of knowledgeable and veteran barbers and I couldn't recommend this place enough.

What can I say... I have cut my hair all over the world, paid a fortune and a pittance for good and bad haircuts.. This is by far the BEST haircut I have ever had. I spent 2 weeks in LA and felt the need to cut it again just before I left. Great cut but more importantly amazing service.
