I’ve been going here for the past 3 months now and I have to say that I have really enjoyed my cuts here. I went to two other places prior to this one since I moved to Modesto, and this one for the price and quality is far and away the best I’ve experienced. For those of you complaining about the wait times, some of, if not all the barbers, have an app that one can access to schedule appointments. Personally, I’ve had Danielle for all three of my cuts and she’s been excellent!

While the wait can be lengthy at times the staff is always able to make it fly by quickly. They never seem to have any issues cutting my son's hair...even when hes unable to sit still these guys manage to get it done!

Amazing, rustic, true Barbershop! Took my son in law there he was so impressed. He worried he wouldn't be able to get a cut like that back home in IA. Just took my son yesterday truly love the cut on him. Thanks Americana!

Referred here by a coworker. I was hesitant at first, as I am extremely picky about my barber. There are some great barbers in the area that put up a lot of competition, and I thought I had already found my end-all shop until I gave this place a try. The service is simply superb. These guys are friendly and conversational without being too chatty. They also lack that air of pretentiousness that seems to stuff up the shops of other barbers who are keen on their craft. The esthetics of the venue are second to none in Modesto. The joint is roomy, comfortable, away from the hustle and bustle of busy streets. They always have excellent music playing. Shoot, they even offer coffee, which comes off as complimentary rather than gimmicky. Most importantly, they work a mean cut. These guys know and love what they do. Whether you are set in your ways about where you go or are looking for some new stomping grounds, you owe it to yourself to give this crew a shot. Set an appointment for Monday thru Thursday or walk in Friday or Saturday. Get ur done. Good on ya.

The hair cut was decent but 2 1/2 hours of Elvis was way too much. Whatever that inoculated me from I'm definitely covered. They do a good business here and the current type of cuts are done well just not my kinda place. A little hard to find.

Glad I found this place. I liked the vibe, haircut and beard service. I had to wait a long bit because Saturday is first come first served. Their play list is same as mine. Didn’t hear any Elvis P. like the other reviewer noted; I don’t mind Elvis, but he’s not on my play list. Ike had me. I’ve been going to another place for a long while, but they cancelled my appointment and I had to scramble.

I will say that they do a great job on hair. They took their time and made sure it was done to my liking. I liked the music they played and the atmosphere was cool as well. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because we had to wait for about 4 hours before they got us in a chair. They were telling everyone about a hour for the wait. I will definitely go back, just make sure to go during a week day and make a appointment.

The Americana is by far the best barber shop in Modesto I've been to. Their barbers always meet and surpass my expectations no matter what hair style i request. My wife who is ultimately the person i look to for her approval, agrees that they do a great job in terms of cutting hair. Before I started goimg to their shop, i was very disappointed with the other options in the Valley area, thanks to the Americana, not any more!

Love this shop. The work they do is great. Nice atmosphere and the friendly staff. Went in today with a picture and asked if they could give me that cut and Jess got it handled. I love that it's a small local business. I heard today that they are expanding, which should help cut down the wait times. But I'll never go back to a chain haircut place again. The hot shaves are excellent, so relaxing.
