I would say the barber himself was 5 stars but brought down one star because they had plaster construction work going on during business hours right in the same room you were getting a haircut. Probably would go back if I am still in the area for future haircuts.

Old style classic barber shop with razor cut edge. Hot cream and smooth blade. Robbie is a cool cat and Sam is as well. These guys make you feel at home and welcome and the cuts are done with style. Few things missing here are more old style ambiance in the shop and hot towel and massage would make this 5 Stars.

Should be better for the location and size. Barber was on phone multiple times during my cut. TV showing things I don't want my son to see at his age. Haircut itself was average to below average.

If you're a gentleman or you have a son, this place is fantastic! It's handsome with an old-fashioned Barber Shop appeal to it. What I particularly love about Sam's is the Barbers are patient and attentive to detail... they even give straight razor shaves for that special touch.

Got a perfect haircut and beard trim without waiting. Happy, friendly owner and staff. Easy, free parking. They will use a straight razor if you want (I do). I will definitely be coming back - I love to give local small businesses my money, instead of big chain stores.

I've been to Sam's Barber Shop twice now, Jonah has cut my hair both times. He does a great job and is very friendly. The shop is very clean and has a nostalgic feel to it. The price is reasonable and the customer service is on point. I'd recommend them to others.

Great place to get a haircut. The staff is friendly and all of my haircuts have looked great. I take my son in there too and the guys at Sam's always hook him up with a trendsetting hair cut. Great location in old Poway park. It is in a location where you don't have to deal with the Poway Rd traffic. Which is nice and convenient for us.
