The whole experience was awesome, love the atmosphere, wonderful employees, super friendly and welcoming. Had a great conversation, facial massage, hot towel, and most importantly a cut that actually worked. Can't wait for my checkup :)

Had my neck hacked up over the weekend getting a beard trim. I felt the hairs being pulled out but didn't think much of it but after it continued I knew I was in a world of hurt. Two days later my neck is red and on fire. The worst I've had. Unfortunately I won't be going back there . The first pic is from today, the second in the white beater was a few hours after the trim.

Finally dragged my son down to get a haircut, my husband found this place about a month ago after so many hits and misses by his job at UCI. Everyone is so nice, especially the woman who cut my sons hair! Had a engaging conversation with the owner and his wife who from what I understand are always there. Another plus to living here in Irvine!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. POOR MANAGEMENT. I had been a client at Roosters for over 3 years. No longer - due to management. The barbers and their relationships with customers are what drive profits and progress. Management - the owner specifically - NOT ONCE - has said hello to me or any other customers I've ever seen when I've gone in each time. Be personable and approachable. Please avoid this place for the sake of the barber professionals everywhere. I believe the original founder, Joe Grondin, would be extremely disappointed in how the professional barbers are being treated here. AVOID THIS PLACE

Unprofessional. Plenty of narly attitude, complaints and excuses, but cannot even shampoo correctly, shampoo all over my face and my hair wasn't rinsed off completely. That's just two out of many issues. I couldn't even get a towel to wipe shampoo off my eyes when I asked for one, I was told to just use what's on my shoulder. Poor haircut but the stylist has the audacity to behave rightful and as if nothing happened. She even complained that "she was hungry but she took me". 20 minute of a joke of a haircut to her was "all day". My five dollar tip was meant to reflect what the service was worth to me, which was really for the coffee. I spent what I would have tipped, at another stylist after I left. I shouldn't have ignored the reviews.

Irvine, California is what can only be described as a bubble. I grew up there and I will admit that. There's a Starbucks, Baja Fresh, Chipotle, Target - you get the idea - on every corner. When my previous stylist retired I was forced to search out a new one. After years of haircuts from the same person, it was a daunting task to go out and find someone to trust with my locks. After a couple failed courtships, I ran across Roosters. It wasn't a chain like SuperCuts, or even something like 18|8. Nope, it was a single location barber shop, with an old-time smell of cloves, and the story of the barber's pole on the wall. I didn't know who I would have at my disposal, as I made no appointment and came in with them having 90 minutes left of business on a cold Monday after a frustrating haircut two weeks before that needed to be fixed. I was introduced to Augustine, a well-presented older gentlemen with a refined accent and actual love for his wife, and making people's hair look good. Go there with some extra time, let Augustine do what you pay him to do. I can honestly say after one visit there that Augustine will cut my hair at Roosters until he retires or I relocate for work (and even then, depending on my comp package, I may fly back to have Augustine cut my hair every 6 weeks or so). The rest of the staff at Roosters was very nice, but Augustine made the experience absolutely superlative. I used to think only Sammy at the Mandarin Oriental Barbershop in Hong Kong could create such an experience through a haircut, I now put Sammy and Augustine in company. Do yourself a favor if you have any care for your hair, and let someone that truly cares for his craft take care of you at Roosters. Ask for Augustine, and enjoy.

Getting a haircut here feels a bit more private, a bit more vintage. I nice balance between the art form and speed. It's a few dollars more than those chain stores we've all been to, but we'll worth the expense! My first time here. The GUY at the front desk was great and Rubi did a fantastic job between trimmers, scissors, and razor.

Roosters is my favorite place to go for any grooming needs. The location is extremely convenient. The place itself is very warm and inviting. The owner and staff are wonderful people. The owner always greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcomed and valued. Gorky is my go to guy, he is extremely talented in what he does and he is so friendly and makes you enjoy your experience every visit. Wonderful place, I highly recommend.

Since I moved to Irvine I have been to Roosters for my shave-and-haircut needs and have always had a good experience there. As a repeat customer they do make you feel welcome and at ease (which was good for when I took my brother for his first ever barber visit!). My last few visits have been with Darlene who has been excellent at her job, and even went the extra mile for offering last minute touch ups just before my wedding a day after I had my shave and haircut. All in all I can strongly recommend them and I do look forward to visit them again.

I've tried a few other barber shops but Roosters is my home now. Great service, friendly staff... it's exactly what I want from a barber shop. Gorky has been cutting my hair for over a year now and he makes sure I'm looking sharp! I'm never going anywhere else.

Anita cuts my hair exactly the way I want it, not what she thinks it should be. It's hard to find someone who you can develop rapport with and does a good job on your hair. the free coffee or other drinks are a plus. love the straight razor neck trim and hot face towel too.

The employees were very nice, however, the lady who gave me a beard trim and gave me a razor cut did not know how to even use the razor. She told me she was a certified Barber but i had never had such poor service at any barber shop ever. Very unhappy with s service which costed me 40 dollars!!!

The place had a few great barbers but recently forced their top quality out by taking away commission and going to lower hourly rates. So basically this is just another cheap haircut chain dependent on quantity over quality. Not going back.

Rooster's truly deserves 5 stars, they are a shinning oasis in a desert of terrible chain "barber shops". True barbers who focus on men's hair and beautiful facilities with comfortable chairs and incredibly friendly staff. If you are looking for a great hair cut and a old school barber vibe this is your place.

Went to Roosters for my first time... Walked in and was immediately greeted... I really like the vibe in this place... It looks cool, they offer top quality service and products for men! My wait time was just a few minutes. Had my haircut by Liz! I LOVED MY NEW CUT! And so did my Girlfriend! I highly recommend this place and Liz!

At last, a haircut that tops them all, thanks to Alla.. She was fantastic! Service was top quality! They even offer you a drink as you walk in the door. I had asked for a wash in addition to a cut and it should really be described as a scalp, face massage and facial. Her attention to detail was what took this cut to the next level. In all honesty, this salon and stylist really belongs in Beverly Hills!
