Finding the spot took a minute cause it's just behind El Cajon Blvd. The place is official, we'll done. The barbers were professional and the clientele seemed welcoming and woke. My apt was with Leonard who was right on time, professional. We chatted briefly over some images of the shape up I wanted for my big Choo that's growing out. The first chair barber also dipped in to share an image of what turned out to be the very same look I wanted, welcoming. Folks discussed topics of the day. Leonard went to artist mode, professional. Within the scheduled 30 minutes my cut was complete and looked good. Paid the man, thanked the man and said I'd be back. Good folks, good work, positive and inclusive environment

I’m new to the city and let myself go pretty badly during the moving process. I’ve always wanted a spot where I could trust the barber to do their thing. Juan is that guy, he knows his stuff; got a perfectly cut line and fade and a style I hadn’t tried before but definitely will again. Everyone else in the shop was laid back/easy to talk to as well. All-around a great spot. Oh, and they keep their schedules tight - always appreciate that.

The guy that cut my hair seemed like he didn't know what he was doing, clipped both my eyebrows in the process of cutting my hair and at 35 dollars you can get much better fades all over San Diego for a cheaper price.

You will be accepted and treated well, with an experience inspired by only what a true barber provides. In my case, I schedule primarily with Rene. Leonard is the man to go he's highly skilled highly talented and a very friendly Barber. If you ever need to get a haircut don't waste your time with other Barbers around in the area instead come to freshly faded barber shop and get Leonard that man is the best at cutting hair he takes his time he even went out of his way to recreate a hairline for me which I was very nervous about doing but after seeing the result I was happy I went with him. The atmosphere in the place is very relaxed the wait times are pretty decent and all the barbers in the barbershop are all friendly after my experience for the first time here I have to say this was the best I ever had I will be coming back every two weeks to get up lineup with Leonard.

If you're looking for a barber shop that has experience cutting African-American hair this is your place. The one downfall is while walk ins are welcome youll wait a few hours to get cut and the price is higher than other black barbershop average price per haircut is $40 (not including tip)

Clean barbershop! Haircuts are mostly by appointments and they do a great job of getting your cut done in the allotted time without making you feel rushed. Very nice atmosphere. You won't be disappointed with your haircut. I'll definitely return next time I'm in San Diego!

Visiting SD from out of town. The staff was extremely friendly and inviting. I'm half Black half Irish and frequently barbers have trouble cutting my texture of hair... but not Leonard. I told him I wanted "a skin tight fade with a long part on the left and as close as possible on top". He went to work and nailed it. One of the best fades I have ever had. Looks like it was painted on. The shop itself has a homily Afro-hip-hop artistic feel and they were playing some nice upbeat jazz music. I'd recommend the shop to anyone visiting the area.

Guy (I don't name drop!) did a hack job on my hair, especially at the back, which was lop-sided, not even. I don't think you should have to go home and get a pair of scissors to even your hair. You might get a better deal at one of those $10 dollar shops like a friend of mine uses. Another customer wrote "arrogant". I'm not sure that is it but who knows? Maybe I picked the wrong barber. Anyway, the choice is yours. Like any profession, there are other options around San Diego. I will say, they do stick to their appointment times.

I decided to give freshly faded a try as they had good reviews. I did not personally have a great experience and should not have paid for my hair cut. The staff was friendly but the person cut my hair did not do a great job and really didn't even cut my hair.It was more like he cleaned it up and it is also is uneven. I'm was not pleased with my experience and I will not be going back and going to my regular Barber down in national city
