The owner is a really nice guy I had a bunch of questions when I went and he took the time to answer them. My son has gotten his hair cut by 2 barbers there and we have been pleased with the hair cuts. My son wants to stick to Nick because he's good with designs. I'm glad we found him a barber he likes. The shop is really clean and looks nice. They even have a nice looking restroom which is damn near rare now days. I recommend this shop to people all the time.

Used to be my go-to place for haircuts. They’ve recently gotten too big or something Bc the customer service has been whack The haircuts are great. However, the last time I went into my haircut, I got there at 12:28 for a 12:30 appointment. They told me they had given that spot to a walk in, and I would have to wait till 1 for my appointment — I wasn’t even late. The next time, I was late. That’s on me, I admit. It was, however, only 6 mins after my appointment time, and they had given my spot to a walk in. They give you great haircuts, but it’s gotten so annoying to deal with this place and I’m pretty fed up EDIT: I’m watching her tell someone else they’re behind as I write this, he had an appointment too. Maybe I’ve just come in on the crazy busy days or something, but this is pretty annoying to see

David did my hair, didn't give me a straight razor cut that I was promised when I called in. He used some other kind of clippers, claiming they were better, since he's the expert I trusted his judgement and 2 days later I'm wickedly disappointed in the cut. He also missed several large sections I the back as well as not getting nice and tight on my edges. Overall just really disappointed with the overall experience especially paying almost $40. I've gotten much better cuts at spots that only charged me $15

Love this shop, you walk in and get an urban vibe you got comfy waiting chairs, every barber station has its own t.v to watch sports or movies. Parking is near by and free which is uncommon in that area. Everything was so clean, the owner Jose seemed pretty cool. I got hooked up by Bryan he is an awesome guy who is easy to talk to, he seemed to put his blood sweat and tears into cutting my hair, Brian A.K.A Esbii has got to be one of the best barbers in L.A right now. Definitely coming back to get a hair cut from him!

If u are going to charge 30 dollars or 33 whatever it was there is no excuse for anyone in that shop to not be a solid barber not matter the cut. Shouldnt matter who cuts your hair. Its like she didnt know how to fade. Kept looking toward the side asked for a medium high fade got a super low fade.

Only reason I’m giving them a one star is because I couldn’t give a zero. I usually cut my hair at Hectors down the street but they’re closed on weekends, so I figured I’d give this spot a try cause of the reviews. Walked in at 1030 or so, was told it was a 30min wait, which I was ok with, I asked about the price and they guy working the desk said $32, $10 more than what I normally pay but still decided to stay. When I was told about the 30min wait, he also told me who would be cutting my hair. The barber already had someone sitting on the chair but I was told I’d be next. Long story short, I guess no one asked the barber if he had an appointment. So basically I waited 45mins just to be told that no one was available to cut my hair. Understand it’s a weekend but come on, how do you expect to get new business if it seems like you always have to make an appointment. Me being mad is putting it lightly, water 45mins. The spot does look nice from the inside, but customer service wise was an awful experience.

Melissa Cuttings helped me to figure out what would work with my thick wavy hair and then taught me how to style it in an easy and trendy way! The place is nice, since I’m new to LA I found the price considerably reasonable, they have parking lot in the back which is great, however the reason I am giving 1 star is because the lady who got me a haircut ruined my hair style and honestly one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever got in my life. Obs: I observed two of the sleeve tattooed guys and the seem to be really good, if I am ever going back def will get with one of them.

I walked in thinking I was entering an actual barbershop. Turns out DTLA Cuts is actually a Supercuts/SportsCuts disguised as a barbershop. I was a walk in and they gave me some knock off wannabe barber in training. Guy looked like he should be working in GameStop’s not cutting hair. He need a haircut his damn self. Dude couldn’t even give me the haircut I wanted. I got tired of trying to explain t to him and just dealt with the subpar haircut he gave me. I ended up paying 45$ for a 5$ hair cut. THIS IS NOT A BARBERSHOP FOR BLACK MEN HAIRCUTS AT ALL. 0 Stars.

DTLA CUTS is the #1 spot in the area. Ive been coming to Jose for some time now and he's always done a fantastic job. I enjoy the quality of the work and the clean environment provided by the shop. There are free drinks in the mini fridge that I always take advantage of. If you need a fade, taper, or design, this is your one stop shop. There are more than enough diverse barbers so each brings a unique plate to the table.

I've been going to Jose for years and now this shop is everything you want in a barber shop! Private hair washing station, mouthwash in he bathroom, some rad colognes, and of course, the best cuts for the price. I can go hear before a Dodger game, get cleaned up, and not be all itchy afterwards. Best shop in DTLA!

Melissa cut my hair, she was vary nice an open to for me to explain exactly what I wanted. Of course I was more than happy, the cut was even better than I expected. ( I asked for a Drop Fade on the sides, and to make the top longer on the front and gradually get shorter to the back.)

Just went there today and it was my first time. Just moved to LA 2 months ago and my family friend has cut my hair all my life. Was hard to have someone else cut my hair but Melissa at DTLA cuts was amazing. She was super nice and didn’t nick my skin once. The barbershop itself has a great atmosphere. Previously in the past I've had good experiences at Dtla cuts however this time this particular barber had a questionable attitude. He doesn't have the chill to discuss how I would like my haircut and offered me if I wanted to change my barber half way through the hair cut. I just told him to continue even though I was very unsatisfied with his attitude,he couldn't accept any comments and got agitated easily. Hopefully this won't happen again over there because I'll makensure its not himwl who will be cutting my hair.
