If I could negatively rate this place I would. Worst haircut I’ve EVER had. Don’t even remember my barber’s name because the haircut took TWO HOURS. Additionally, he didn’t follow my instructions even to the slightest. He wasn’t following me so I showed him a picture of myself and I specifically told him not to touch my facial hair and he shaved it COMPLETELY off. As if this isn’t a horror review already, he cut my head with the straight razor and took multiple phone calls during the haircut. Place totally sucked. I left the shop looking way worse, man. So.... if I were anybody reading this review I wouldn’t risk it. You can find better.

I LOVE this place. I have been bringing my brother to Mike Smith for years. The owner Dwayne is awesome and I love the vibe there. Most barbershops as a woman you want to get in and get out but the atmosphere there is classy and family friendly. I will continue to travel the distance for 5 star service!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I've been going to this shop for a few months and as I'm a worst than Goldielocks and her porridge, I've tried several barbers. The shop's atmosphere is comfortable with a home grown neighborhood barber engagement. It's a family establishment and the barbers work together to build each other up. All of them were pretty great (except one), yet, I had to leave a review regarding this one. I have a brand photoshoot coming up, which amped up my expectations for my hair. Lefty directed me to Dre (IG: @drecutsofficial) who showed me pictures that he was familiar with what I was asking for (it was well done), which put me at ease. I really enjoyed him cutting my hair from the customer service to the finished product. You can tell he is passionate about his work. He was very thorough in making sure I got what I wanted. He cut it to a comfortable length and then let me decide on cutting it further. (This is uncommon and definitely a plus with working with a new barber.) If I could give this shop zero stars I would, never have I ever walked into a barbershop waited for damn there 3 hours and still not get a haircut. I was patiently waiting from 3:20 to 5:45PM until I decided just to walk out since it seem like I wasn't getting my haircut today, very unprofessional and unsatisfying experience I received as my first time coming to this shop after receiving a business card from the owner. How could you see a customer sitting there for hours and not acknowledge them nor ask How long have you been waiting instead these barbers skip and choose who hair they want to cut there is no order or organization. After my terrible first experience I don't think I could ever give this shop a chance again, so embarrassing and upsetting to expect to get a fly cut but instead just wasting 3 hours of your time. I've been to shops that had customer service , and these people definitely don't have it.

This shop is horrible.... i got short cut... maybe because im not black or either because i wasn't the barbers friend.... so i left..... not to mention i had to deal with the fact that the owner has a huge ego. back home a barbershop is supposed to have a comfortable home feel environment not an environment were there is tension with barbers and their owner and a barber stating he used to sell drugs in oakland. i also shouldn't have to hear gossip about old barbers that dont work there..... just overall not a good place to be. VERY expensive on the price as well.... well i guess you have to pay for all the tvs and video games you CANT play right?? ... i wish there was an option to click 0 stars.....

Great place for a men's hair cut and I highly recommend. The entire staff is friendly. Ryu cut my hair and he did an amazing job. One of the hair stylist is from Ohio and a big Buckeyes fan who was super cool.

I have been going to this barbershop since I moved from Detroit. Everyone here has been stellar. A very laid back and family oriented environment. These people that put negative reviews on here must have personal issues or want more than what anyone can possibly accommodate. Let's go over some rules for great customer service being that I've worked in customer service for over 20years. Rule 1..u have to wait your turn, don't expect to walk in and get immediate service unless you have a appointment. Rule 2.. if you don't like something at the time of service speak up, don't leave and than try to complain. I'm more than 100% sure if you mentioned a concern it would be addressed accordingly. With that said this shop is excellent and I highly recommend it.

Came in there a few weeks ago i told the barber i wanted my head shaved bald but instead he gave me a bald fade when i told him i wanted it bald he look frustrated and i guess one of the other barbers heard our conversation and put his irrelevant input stating the haircut was tight after the haircut when i payed him i made sure to get my exact change and he seemed frustrated and when i said bye he turn his head. rude barbers not to mention the self conceited environment. I would recommend not going to this barbershop bad service for a 25$ haircut. Im only rating it two stars because Aaliyah played on their radio.

I recently moved from Chicago and needed a great women's haircut. I was refered to Lefty's. The moment I walked in Lefty's, I was transported back home to Chicago! The comrodery and ambiance of this place was inviting and warm. Brandon a barber there, introduced himself and explained things and introduced me to the owner who gave me a big welcome. I loved the vibe there and that they provide multiethic haircuts.

They fixed me!!! Went in with a major hair problem. We are talking 2 in bald spot!!! Did a line design on a side shave to make it blend. Barber/hair artist E got super creative and came up with a design to blend it in. Then I got the rest of my hair cut, texture and styled by the beautiful stylist Kori. She really knows her hair!!! No one in my life has ever cut my hair right I usually have to fix it. Not with Kori she is amazing. My hair looks so bomb and none of my friends know that it was a bald spot!!! Basic quality haircut for $27.00. They charged my card 35.00 when my son went there for a haircut. He didn’t give them a tip so they just took it??!!! And an 8.00 tip at that! I’m going to get my money back through my bank but I’m also going to file a complaint... it has to be illegal to just take an extra amount.
