Great team of barbers you can’t go wrong with any of the professional barbers. They have haircuts down to a science it’s insane. The vibe is great and they typically offer free beer or liquor depending on your preferred poison. Not too many places offer beer and I think it’s a really great touch. The shop is modern and unique and you’d be crazy not to give this place a try.

If I could give zero Stars I would this place when they slow they welcomes you but when they made enough money for the day they push you away I am a great temper when it comes to my haircut the last time I got my haircut there was there was by a man named deacon or donkey whatever the case may be they lost a good customer not only that I going to get my haircut there I even brought a few people to the shop at the Harley-Davidson place when I went in after work to try to get a cut he didn't even give me the respect and look at the sign me off on top of that five of my partners needed haircuts I was going to tell them to come over no longer while I visit the local barber shop

I was tired of looking at Randy's bad haircuts from other places that charged like 5-star but weren't. I was recommended to Anthony and sent my hubby to him. Best decision ever! Best haircut ever!!! Anthony takes the time to really focus and get it perfect. I looked at the others in the shop and see that the quality is the same throughout. Highly recommend this place if you want it done right. BTW, just asked my hubby how the prices are, and he said "Unbelievably reasonable." Good to know.

I moved to Phoenix a few months ago and I have visited two other barber shops in my attempt to find a new barber. I’ve been disappointed each time. The first two just were not up to snuff. Finally, I found The Local Barber and Shop! They are a barber that’s authentic and knows what they are doing! Trust me, I’ve been to barbers all over the country from New York to Philly to Vegas to Seattle to Salt Lake and I am telling you, I am very particular. With that said, this is now my second time there and I am ecstatic with my cut, attention, and time spent with me. Anthony took care of me and was spot on. I will be returning for as long as I am in Phoenix! The other barber was also top notch as well from what I saw. Clearly, they have standards and experience. Now, for me, Phoenix is lacking when it comes to quality barber shops like The Local Barber and Shop. There are a lot that try to be like this, but are not, it’s just that simple. The Local Barber Shop are the real the deal and I would say the the best in the valley. Further, I’ve seen these one star reviews for this shop about walk-ins and not being able to be seen. Rule of thumb, when it comes to a high quality barber shop, always make an appointment. This is not a Supercuts. Completely different service model. You need to be respectful of their time and those customers who’ve planned ahead. So personally I discount these negative reviews for what they are. And guys like me who make their appointments know what I mean. Now, that’s just my opinion, so take it for what it is. The Local Barber and Shop is a gem in Phoenix. I highly recommend to anyone who wants a serious cut. Keep up the good work gentlemen and thanks!

Having to come to your boyfriends hair cut and sitting for an hour isn’t ideal, but music, conversation and atmosphere is nice. They squeezed my boyfriend in to get a hair cut, offered him a complimentary beer and water, and chatted with me to make me feel included in the experience. Even though this is an all guy joint, they are understanding and respectful to girls being at their place while waiting for their significant other to get a hair cut. Any guy interested in getting cleaned up, l definitely suggest The Local Barber Shop. Hip, urban and accommodating! Thanks for squeezing Frankie in and doing a wonderful job, he looks amazing, as always!

My hair is extremely thick with waves and curls. When I get a hood cut it looks amazing but getting a good can be a challenge. Marco cut my my hair tonight, I'm a happy man. During the consultation he asked me a few key questions that let me know I was going to get a cut I could manage. After the cut he explained what he did and what to expect between now and my next appointment. My hair can be hard for me to manage. I have every confidence in Marco's work.

This barber shop is by far the best one I've been to, and I've been to many, trust me. Jesse is the barber that attended me twice here, couldn't have asked for a cleaner cut. I've been cutting my own hair for years now for two reasons: saving money and especially for countless f&%k-ups at other barber shops, it seems like every time I go to a barber, they always have to do one thing just plain bad. Not this barber shop, but it is on the pricey side, $25 + tip, but it is worth it.

Live in the area and had been going to a different barber. Driven by Local numerous times and finally decided to give it a shot. Glad I did. Nice mixture of vintage and modern decor. I was a "walk in" and they were able to slip me in, but it's probably recommended to book an appointment. After providing a vague description of the style of cut I was looking for he went to work. Precision, attention to detail and efficiency are all attributes describing the cut I was given. Nice old school touches like straight-edge razor and steam towel. Overall good experience and will be returning.

First off, I would like to comment on the two people who came there late and didn't get a cut. How can you judge a place just by the stupidity of yourself? It's called, CALLING AHEAD. Anyway my friend and I go there and it is hands down the best cut I have had from a barber. They take their time and are very meticulous. If you're trying to go there for a quick cut, you're in the wrong place. Go to Sports Clips. If you want a true barber shop environment and a great cut then call ahead and make an appointment. Sometimes they may not make your scheduled time so allow about a half hour leeway. Again, they pride themselves on great haircuts. Oh and did I mention, they have a beer fridge.
