I wish I'd had the same great experience as other reviewers. The place itself is neat - quaint and cool. 2 barbers on-site. Extended hours are a huge plus. Walking distance from my loft. I'll spare you the gory details, but the moral of the story is that I got a decent haircut, but not at all the haircut I asked for. One of the more pricey barbers I've gone to, so I expected what I asked for (and was very specific in my description of what I wanted). I'll likely give this place one more shot, but will wait for a different barber (like the owner).

Best barber shop I have ever been to in my life hands down. Clean, friendly and professional environment for all. Not only are the cuts A1 but the service is second to none. Matt and his staff really take customer care to the next Level. Movies, video games and snacks are all on the house. Dim lighting with comfortable seating and hot towel warm lather combo along with a shoulder and neck massage make the wait very much worthwhile.

This place is awesome! Very cool! I came for a haircut while visiting family for Christmas holiday and it was cool that he was playing Home Alone 2 on VHS. I showed up right when the place opened and Matt cut my hair very well. I can see why this place is very popular. Moments after I sat down in the chair 3 other people came in all seeming to try to get the first spot of the day. Matt is very good at what he does and he works very quickly, almost too quickly, to the point where I was nervous at first but his fade was on point and his personality is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a good cut and a good experience, although you may have to wait a little while.

This a small shop but very quaint. You gotta go see Zzack, the best haircuts in the world. If there is a wait, kick back, have some popcorn, a soda and watch a movie. Straight razor clean up and shave with a hot towel massage. This place is amazing you gotta check it out. Oh! Beforre I forget, they only take cash.

Matt and Zach are great, friendly professional barbers that create a very positive and welcoming environment. Been coming here for a year and by far my favorite barber shop hands down. In my opinion it doesnt matter which barber you get because everyone is going to do great. It’s cash only so remember that before coming in and they do not do appointments so you may wait for awhile depending on how many people are in front of you but they always have a movie laying in the lobby, they have a fridge full of free drinks, a pop corn machine and a ps4 with 2 controllers and grip of games. So even if you have to wait an hour there is plenty to make the time go by and to keep yourself entertained.

*CASH ONLY* My husband’s go to barbershop. Him, his brothers, and his closest friends all only come here for their haircuts. Matt is great, shop is great, unlike any other. They provide free drinks (soda and water), popcorn, and whatever snack they have on their table that day. Usually gum, candy or chips. Also they play a movie, set up as a mini theatre, while you wait or you can play on the xbox they have set up in the next room. Definitely not your typical shop, a little on the higher end, like $20something but considering the amenities, great customer service, and great haircut you get out of it, it’s well worth it.

Asked for a beard trim and lost 3 months of growth. The cut started off with a scissor clip of a couple of rows off the top. Then it switched to a clipper cut on the sides. Then he moved to my beard for a bit. Then back to fading the sides, then back to the beard, then he texted someone, then he gave some cash to the other barber to get a muffin for him, then he texted someone again, then he laid into my beard with a vengeance. He took the cheekline way lower than I wanted and lined it up with a straight razor; however he chose to grind his clippers into my neckline to line that up. I got a naked fade on the sides of my head, but he didn't give me a straight razor finish over the ears either. Couldn't see any of the cut as it was happening because of the weird setup with the mirrors and the chair. Edit: 2 days later and I still have razor burn from my "beard trim."

First of all the pictures online do not do it juctice. When you walk in. You feel like you step into the man cave from heaven. I walked in and Matt welcomed me, as if I was his lost friend. He listens to everything you say. He cut my hair better then I wanted. If your looking for a place to get a great haircut and has a atmosphere. This is your spot. Simply wonderful, went in for a haircut a couple days ago and the first thing I noticed was the smell of "nutty sandalwood" which was very pleasant and then the decor which was retro classic and was interesting and very easy on the eyes, the haircut and shave was just as quality. I liked the assortment of aftershaves as well, really unique, reminded me of this place my grandfather would take me as a kid. 10/10, would (and have) recommend(ed).

Hold on, wait a minute, I'm about to put some love into it... This review that is. This is a haircut AND beard trim review! I've been looking for a Barber shop that can cut my hair at any length, long (as it was for this visit) to short (I watched a serious fade take shape just next to me) AND at the same time trim my beard the way I want it (yes I'm picky) and the crew (Zakk specifically) at Matts was the best I've found in 6 years here in Phoenix. I haven't even started on the environment, take your kids, get your hair cut, sit and chill while a fun movie plays while you wait. This gets my Hidden Gem award for this month no question!

Cool barber shop, small and quaint. Zakk does an incredible job cutting hair. The only draw back is they don't take appointments, you put your name on a list and can not leave so if the wait is an hour, you must sit and wait.

My boyfriend needed a new barber, so I found this place while sifting through google maps. The place is a true man cave. He had a great chat with the barber who cut his hair and really loved the cut. The price was a bit up there, but he said it was worth it. I guess he found his new barber!

This place is complete trash. Everywhere online reads they open at 8AM. I have now been here twice and waited until 8:30 both times and no one ever showed up. Keep in mind this is in the Arizona heat getting here early and waiting for nearly an hour. They don’t have a voice machine otherwise I would tell me frustrations there. If you don’t open at 8AM, maybe you should change your time so you don’t have customers waiting outside for nothing. Oh and if you come in on the weekends, it’s $40 for a haircut on Sunday. $40? V’s barber doesn’t even charge that much and they are a rip-off chain barber. I will never go here again and make sure everyone knows how poor this service is. Twice waiting outside and nothing. Don’t waste your time people.

Expect a wait to get the best service there is! Absolutely worth it! My son and I get our hair cut here. Usually the newest movie is playing (unless the newest movie really sucks and then it's usually something recent that didn't). He also had a PlayStation that my boy could play on while we waited. Once we get in the chair, the amazing service continues and we get exactly what we ask for every time. Worth the wait time and price!

Awesome place! The decor captivates the imagination, Matt is a great Barber/Business Owner! He always greets me when I walk in the door and never fails to make sure I feel at home. Then theres the popcorn and soda pops that keep you refreshed, an awesome movie playing while you wait and once they are done with your cut you get a quick shoulder and trap massage via a massage machine. Very highly recommended!

Friendly, good atmosphere. Cut was not very good lol. He didn't really listen to anything I told him. I said high fade and he took it all the way to the top of my head. He also was cutting people in like 15 minutes so I should have known it was gonna be trash. Other barber was taking his time so maybe you could get a good cut out of one of them.
