I especially adore Allison whom I followed from her previous Scottsdale employer. Allison gives a level of service that makes you feel both trust and comfort. She listens, offers advice, and displays skills that helped me transition from having a longer beard to my “Business Beard” transformation. Allison’s pleasant demeanor and skills will keep me coming back to Brigade Barbershop!

Haircuts are great, the guys are rad, the wait time is absurd. Over the past year I have continued to drive from Litchfield Park (32.7 miles one way) to get my haircut here however after waiting over an hour with only 4 people in front of me I left without a haircut and will not be returning to the shop. I can appreciate a no appointment cash only environment but once you reach the amount of clients this place has it makes sense to have appointment times available especially when someone is willing to dedicate at least an hour and a half in total travel time to get there.

I've been coming here for years now, everyone is very friendly and courteous. However, for nearly two years now I've been developing these painful pimples on my head roughly 4-7 days after my haircut, and they're near where they cut real close. I decided to see my doctor about this issue finally, it took me a long time because I just thought it was something normal, but it wasn't. My doctor believes this is due to the barbers either not properly cleaning and sanitizing their tools or just not doing it at all. This is a huge health risk, maybe my skin is just super sensitive? Never had this issue before, unfortunately, I'll have to stop coming here :(. The two star review has nothing to do with the service or the quallity of work, it's purely due to the health concerns.

Warning: Do NOT show up without an appointment or you will wait for more than an hour. Quality of work is high. Quality of service is poor. I walk-in, write my name and sit down. After waiting for an hour, finally one of the guys frees up and instead of me, calls up the guy who walked in after me. Neither one of us had an appointment, but somehow the other guy takes priority even though I was first. I definitely don't want to give my money to an establishment that clearly does not want it. I am not angry. I am just disappointed. I thought, I had finally found a place that cut my hair right.

This is the only place I will get my hair cut going forward. Cut is on point, beard trim is perfect every time. Online scheduling makes it easy to book with the same barber each time, this way you avoid having to re-explain how you want it cut over and over. Only con is that this place is cash only, but there is an ATM and still its 100% worth stopping at the bank first.

Hands down the best Barbershop I've ever experienced. The guys are professional I'm every sense of the word. I was even offered a beer during my cut and shave. Wifi is always a huge plus as well as a professional standard. Excellent internet speed too. The chairs are vintage and literally the most comfortable seats you'll ever sit in a barber shop. Late 50s early 60s. Even the fridge is from the same era! Incredibly relaxing setting. The chair Cape they use felt like satin. Not the plastic raincoat you're probably used to. The entire experience was truly a man's therapy exactly as it should be. The barbers are licensed, experienced and simply the best. Brendyn was my barber and don't believe there was a courtesy spared. My hair is my ideal perfect. Very modern business savvy and professional; precisely as I asked. He used a straight edge razor to clean up the back of my neck followed by aftershave and during the cut he periodically dusted me with talcum powder. Perfect. No itching afterwards at all. I've been sitting watching here watching the beard trims as I complete my review and finish my beer. They all use straight edge razors for the face and neck and the actual trim itself seems almost surgical in terms of precision. I'm sitting here in awe. Where has this place been all my life? In summation, if you don't feel comfortable, well taken care of and absolutely utmost satisfied with your experience then you clearly need to cut your own hair because if the place doesn't become your go to Barbershop after your first visit then you're clearly not satisfiable.

Apparently a year ago they stopped taking walk ins. I’ve gone here for 2 years now and was never told this. Maybe I always got there when they had no customers so they just took me. Today I drove my 30min drive for a haircut and was turned away. Even as a loyal customer they just shrugged it off like “better luck next time.” I won’t be back. This place used to be awesome and such a cool vibe. It’s literally a totally different place. I’d rather go to super cuts or great clips and have a jacked up hair cut than deal with these pompous people.

If you can get in with Tim M., do it. Guy has the best fade in the valley. I'd recommend booking online, as Tim is hard to get "Walk-in". However, I've never seen anyone leave the shop with a bad "cut". Even the walk in barbers are better than you'd get at a franchise spot. The shop is a perfect hang, good people and good music.

The barbershop is cash only so bring your cash otherwise they have an ATM and there is a BoA ATM in the parking lot. Some of the barber's are appointment only so go make your appointment. The prices are reasonable and all the guys were friendly.

I figured any regular barber might do what I wanted better since most of their clientele are regular Joe Shmo's like myself. The outcome from those places were good enough. I went to Brigade when I had hair on my head and remembered they did a great job. So I gave it a try with my face. I am grateful I did. Alex is an expert at his craft.
