To put it simply, the barbers at Ace of Fades make the shop live up to its name. It's my go-to barbershop whenever I need to get a fresh cut because they make me look good! What I appreciate most of all is how dedicated and passionate they are about their craft. Each cut, whether it be with clippers, scissors or a straight razor, is meticulous. I highly recommend Ace of Fades if you want a great haircut. Just note that they do get busy toward the end of the week, so calling in advance and setting up an appointment is something I also recommend. Earlier today, when I called and set up an appointment, the barber I was on the phone with asked me who I wanted to cut my hair. I said it didn't matter who because I knew any of the barbers there would give me a fresh cut!

So we took my grandson he is 18 months. I did not know what to expect. The facility was clean and very well kept. There is a different barber there to cater to everyone i.e Black, White , Native, Hispanic you name it. They had a waiting area with seats for everyone a vending machine, flat screens, and not a long wait or any disrespect towards woman with a bunch of inappropriate conversation. I would take my grandson back any time. You can book an appointment or walk in. We paid 15 dollars. I want to thank them for the patience with my grandson. Great job guys. We will be back for many many years to come.

Everyone at this shop is friendly and welcoming. I moved to Phoenix earlier this year and these guys make me feel like family. They remember you, do GREAT work and the music is always on point. The seating area has books and a TV. Plus they even have a charging station for electronic devices. These guys are the truth. I always go to Kevin but you can’t go wrong with any of these high-quality, detail oriented barbers. You will feel better about yourself when you walk out.

When it comes to my cuts, I tend to stick with ONE guy at ONE shop once I find someone that cuts how I like... He may not be the best in town, he may not do all the crazy designs/etc, he may not have the cheapest price/etc... With me, none of that matters: If I like him, i'll go to him... Even if he doesn't quite "nail" my cut the 1st time, i'll go back & give him another shot to see if he cuts it a little better & i'll come back AGAIN as long as he doesn't make the same mistake he might have made last time... In other words, even as someone who doesn't exactly have the fastest growing hair, i'm VERY forgiving compared to most people I know, & i'm that type of faithful client that will continue coming to you AGAIN & AGAIN as long as you do a good job, respect my time & don't leave me hangin &/or lookin stupid... I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment time (aka- EARLY)... I walked in & saw that another dude (with less than an inch of hair on his head) was in my guys chair... Looked like he was about done, so I convinced myself to just chill out & wait; An hour later, the SAME DUDE was still in the chair & I was still waiting as I watched a few other people slide into the shop before the doors locked at 6. In the end, I left with no cut as I had somewhere to be at 7, & had my barber been better about his time management & handling his clients I would have been in/out of there in good time. Yo, I know it ain't easy cutting hair, & people are human: I can understand it taking another 10-20 minutes (past the time you expected) to wrap up a cut & tbh I had built that into my schedule when the appointment was set. But when you can't wrap up a cut within a 10-20 MAX buffer following what is supposed to be the start time of another clients appointment, then you probably shouldn't be setting appointments because you (&/or the people you work with/under) OBVIOUSLY aren't on that level yet. If I can set an appt down the street & dude practically has a werewolf in his chair yet consistently finds a way to give EVERY client a quality cut & get the next "scheduled" client in his chair no more than 20 minutes after their scheduled appointment time, then why can't you do the same? Terrible experience yesterday & I doubt i'll be back. If I was the barber & had a client in the position I was in yesterday, I would be like "Man i'm so sorry, whats the best time for you? Come by the spot & I got you" or "How can I make this right? Next cut on me, let me know what time & i'll keep my chair open till you get in".. SOMETHING to make it right, but I definitely got nothing close to that & most certainly didn't get the haircut I set an appointment to get. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt & i'm a good tipper once I have the means to do so, but when you waste my time you lose my business. Sad part is I could've just sat in another dudes open chair IMMEDIATELY when I walked in the door (because he definitely offered), but nah I wanted to be dedicated to my guy, so I just waited. So to sum it up, I had an APPOINTMENT, yet an hour & 15 minutes later I walked out with no haircut, with all other shops being closed by that point (leaving me with no other options but to completely re-arrange my schedule today &/or this weekend, knowing that I have an important event coming up & don't have time to spend half my weekend hunting for a new barber). The lack of professionalism makes this entire shop look bad. BOTTOM LINE: If you don't value your time, then you should be ok here; If you DO value your time, then please be advised & forewarned that your time just might be wasted if you do business here. Fair warning, but feel free to find out the hard way if need-be.

There are 3 things that I look for in a great barbershop; which is professionalism, cleanliness and craftsmanship. When it comes to professionalism, I look for a barbershop/barber that takes appointments and keep appointment. in today's culture; customers do not have 2 hours to wait in barbershop; especially with the intention of becoming a potential returning customer. Time is money and 2 hours of waiting time is an absolute "No Go". Ace of Fade has professional barbers that understand the customer and provide services that works for the modern day customer. Don't get me wrong, I love a great conversation, but as a family man; TIME is our most valuable resource; Period!!!! Secondly, I look for cleanliness; Ace of Fades Executive Barbershop is clean, and the barbers are well groomed. I never understood a barber that cuts hair for a living but "LOOKS" like they need the services themselves. Lastly I look for craftsmanship; a good haircut can make you feel like a millions bucks, and Ace of Fades barbers are all on point. Each barber have unique personality that are a direct reflection of the customer. If your looking for a great barbershop that is professional, clean and skilled; Ace of Fades will deliver. There are not a lot of barbershops in Phoenix that you can literally walk-in and get a haircut from any barber and walk out a new man.

If you need a barber in midtown Phoenix, please do yourself a favor and check out Ace of Fades. Professional, courteous barbers and stylists who know their way around all the requisite tools of the trade. My son and I went in for a cut for him and a head shave and beard trim for myself. We were done in about 45 minutes total and both got exactly what we wanted. Fades are their specialty, but if you need any haircut and are anywhere near the area, go for it. Appointments available on StyleSeat and there's a sign in sheet for walk-ins.

I sit and wait until she's done, normally I would of waited in the car like I use to but I love coming with her. The haircut was good. Gave specific instructions on how I wanted the straight razor shave and the facial hair and it was completely disregarded. My goatee and sideburns were obliterated. Also, there was some residual facial hair and unevenness that I was displeased with.

It's small, there's music but it's not deafening loud and everyone is chill. I also always get the fade I want and it's perfect and clean with no lines. Daniel's attention to detail is top notch.

They have a nice environment in their when you go inside. All of their barbers know how to cut your hair very good. Down side is it is kinda hard to find off of 16th street but you have to look for their sign outside. Some barber's are kinda pricey as well. Be prepared to spend $30 to $40 dollar's for a haircut and facial cut.

Clean barbershop. Easy walk in process. Barber Aaron did a great job cutting my hair. An issue I have with barbers is they push my hair line back in attempts to straighten my hairline. This was not an issue today. I initially did not want him to give me a “line up” but he did it exactly as I liked. The barbershop has a good atmosphere. I’ll be going back.

Go see my boy Steve. The atmosphere that has been crested there is so chill and refreshing. Steve is a true professional in every sense of the word. I feel like I'm coming to see family, and even though we are choppin' it up, before I know it my cut is done so swiftly and precisely, I don't know how he does it. I've been going to this barbershop for about two months, and the barbers are very friendly and inviting. The shop is well maintained and clean. The downside is they'll lock the door 30 minutes before they close, which can be a little frustrating. It would be great if they had longer hours on Friday and Saturday for people who works between 8-6. Other than that, I would recommend this place.
