Used to go to JD all the time until one time. I had an appointment and was on time taking off my coat, a person JD knew walked in. The guy asked JD if he could get hair cut. JD said sure sit down I will cut it right now. I stood their and could not believe it. Several years getting my hair cut their and this is how he treats a customer. Nope walked out and have never been back.

Not sure if it was the female stylist was new or the fact they aren't very good at fine hair, but my 11 yo son walked out with a Hack Job, which I didn't notice because they styled it with pomade. I give a great tip, as I mostly always do. I was furious the next day when his hair was washed and I could see crazy different lengths of hair... a mess!

I have been getting my haircut for over 20 years and JD Styles is the first Barbershop that I have seen shut down to thoroughly clean the shop. The shop has been upgraded and looks amazing Gee is very accommodating to the customers. This is the only barbershop I would recommend in Fairbanks.

G is the best barber in Alaska. I live in Anchorage during the winter (tough to find a good barber here) but if I'm in Fairbanks for work in the summer and need a cut - this is the only place I will go. Quality establishment, quality barbers.

Finally found a barber who knows what they’re doing. Gee was all about attention to detail and gave me the best fade I’ve had in a long time. For some reason that’s very hard to find up here in Alaska. Will definitely recommend to all my military friends.

I went in and got the older guy to the left of the door. Asked for a medium fade and a little off the top. Left with a damn high and tight looking like a damn retard. He seriously took almost all the hair off my head. This is the second time I've been to JDs. The first time I had the blonde. She did a great job. I'm currently on my way to the PX on post to see if they can fix it. Horrible experience. Probably won't go back. Paid $20 for the worst haircut in my life.

Tried using their app to book an appointment, it didn't work. Tried to use google under the "BOOK", but yet again, no appointment. Need a better way to get new clients in, besides waiting an hour for a fade. When I called, was told, rudely, "I let you book it this way this one time, but not again," what kind of service is that?

Customer service is poor. I had to wait an hour and a half for a haircut several times. $25 for a cut. Don't make appointments with them. They keep them in their books, but don't follow through with them.

I'm sure the stylists are awesome, but I wouldn't know because they were supposed to open at ten and there's still no one here. I waited for 15 minutes and went somewhere else. Another potential customer did the same, waited and eventually left.

Nice hair cut with a fair beard trim after waiting an hour despite having an appointment. I understand an establisment being busy and am not an overly impatient person, but my time is valuable....hence making the appointment in the first place. Prices are about average for premium cuts and trims. I would advise allotting an hour longer for you appointment at least, as this barber is busy. Too busy in my opinion.

Don't waste your time making an appointment u less you have time to spare. The barber will put someone else in your slot and will not let you know in advance.there is a 10 dollar deposit for appointments scheduled using Booksy and you must cancel 24 hours in advance. The problem is you will schedule an appointment and not be seen

Asked for a fade and they said they knew what I was talking about . They took forever as if they didnt know how to cut .then when they are almost done I get cut. Didnt put shaving cream or nothing. Looked lost poor service. I should of known better I'm from NJ used to good barbers not amateurs

Good haircut, you shouldn't leave with a bad cut. Just not worth $25 a cut. I'd understand if you were in a real city but its Fairbanks, not Seattle or L.A.

Been there twice . First time I was a walk in and literally took four hours to get a haircut . Don't get me wrong I got what I wanted but nobody has time for that. Second time I made an appointment for 3:30. And the blonde one was so far behind it would've taken me all night .

I was skeptical for two reasons. The previous reviews and my wedding was just around the corner (I didn't want to risk a bad haircut) I stopped in and had Gee cut my hair. Best haircut of my life, he's not a man of much words but he knows how to get the job done. I'll be coming here to get my haircut every month. Thanks Gee!
